Congrats Halie ! I remember when I flew my 230S V2 without stabilization for the first time. Very nerve wracking ! However, I had heard that a person should get away from counting on stab ASAP, so they can grow doing the flying and not relying on the stab. It wasn't long and the nerves went away ! Yours will too !! The 230 is a tough ship ! I've slammed mine inverted from 20' up. Lost a pitch link only. Put on a new one and she flew !! The 230 even flies with another of my blunders. I had to repair the head after a different crash. And I actually installed one blade with the thin edge LEADING and the other main blade in normal position!!! I actually flew about 10 batteries before I noticed it was backwards. The FBL is so good, that it flew that way, and the only difference is battery flight life dropped to 4 minutes instead of 5 minutes ! After I fixed the blade position, time went back to 5 minutes! Alls well to this day !! Keep enjoying that heli young lady, you'll be inverted before you know what happened !! Later!

Nice one. Heart rate rising on the countdown to flip the switch to stunt 1. It seems to me a huge learning curve in flying RC heli. I had a 230 a year ago but felt a bit intimidated by its size so I sold it. Just bought an mcpx bl2 to give helis another try. I'm making steady slow progress and it's great fun, if a little scary. I'm enjoying your videos so just subscribed to your channel.

Congrats on the Mcpx bl2 it looks like an amazing heli! We have some Nano's and the Mcpx is like a Nano but better! I hope we can get a Mcpx on the channel soon they look really fun! We have just ordered a XK K110 heli to review and compare to the Nano on the channel, hope that gets here soon! Don't give up on the helis! Do you have a sim? We use our sim a lot for learning. Cool, I'll keep a look out for the K110 review. When I has the 230Sv2 I was using Real Flite 9.5 and found it really helpful,however, since they upgraded the software it no longer works. I downloaded the free upgrade but it just hangs and can't be used. I think there may be an issue with the support on graphic card drivers. Anyway I tried Accurc on demo and it's so hard as I don't think there is any stability mode. I nearly paid more money to get the very latest Real Flight but held back as I am not convinced its going to work either due to the graphic card driver issue. I'll keep at it and if I get better may buy a larger heli. Watching you and Halie flying is inspiring me to continue
@@cosmiccabaret That's not good to hear about your simulator! That's what we have is RF 9.5 and I would be very sad without it! I hope you can get it figured out. After I ignored Windows telling me the graphic card driver was the most current, I went to Radion website and downloaded some software and Bingo, Halaluua etc etc. The SIM is Alive! Lol so happy I can practice at home again. Happy days, cheers. Paul.
