- Here is a video of the Blade 330s Flight Modes and Forward Programming parameter menus. In Normal mode, you have Stability mode, which is awesome for stable flying and beginners. Stunt 1 and 2 are intermediate to advanced modes for untamed 3D and full control flying. You can assign stability to any of the modes in the forward programming menu under Stability. The new 6250HX Flybarless controller is stable and fully programable. This is a helicopter from a box, so look it over and make sure it is mechanically correct as a baseline. Then make adjustments if you have to. This is a hobby and helicopters must be tinkered with. Thank you all for subscribing. I will do my best to help you in the comments below. Just ordered mine from Horizon yesterday. I'm a Disabled Gulf War Vet and Playing Guitar and RC Ground and Air are my Best Therapy. It's been awhile since I flew a Heli, had a Problematic Heli-Max 400, That spent more time in pieces than in the air,lol.
Had another Collective pitch Heli I was able to fly,so,I'm hoping I still have the Right Stuff. 😎👍
As long as it's as Stable as it looks in your Demos, I should be OK with Scale Flight....3D isn't in my Skill set 😬😂.

Lol! 11 years ago I learn how to fly those things by crashing and fixing! Over and over again! Flying those things is one of the best RC experience ever. This small birds make me think to buy a heli again!

Thanks again! SOO much good info! I found that some folks do not realize that the "Forward Programming" menu will only appear when both the r/x and t/x are powered. It only took me 5 hours to figure that out. (my bad)

If you update your radio, you will have forward programming dude.
Stability mode is assigned to Normal mode stock. But you can assign Stability to any mode you like. Stunt 1 or 2.
Hello Friend . I'm writing to you with a question because you know Hela well. Namely, my Blade 330S flies correctly, but when I change flight modes, the rotor revolutions are the same as in the 3 modes. I will add that the curve is set according to the instructions: 65%, 70% and 80%. Where to look for the cause?

everytime i watch your videos i buy i new heli Horizon should be giving you comission %. Now if i can only fly and know how to setup my helis well that's another thing but been practicing on the RF9 sim i got for xmas
So is stability mode automatically assigned to normal mode or does it have to be turned on in forward programming? The reason I ask is that under SAFE in forward programming stability mode says OFF. I assume that means “turn off” and ON means “turn on”?
Awesome just got the 330s rtf but the dxe seems to be disco. When trying to load and program app so eventually I ordered the ix12 to replace eventually my other dx6i feel that I'm gonna need some help on programming...lol good vid seen other of your vids awesome

Justin, I have a 230 and 330 on the way for Christmas, thanks for your videos. I was thinking about getting the new nx-6 transmitter, would you recommend this one
very much appreciate your input on this Heli ! are you able to increase the Head speed in stability mode ? or like the 230S you can add stability to UI1 ? I know on some Blade Heli's, they recommend you NOT alter settings for Normal/Stability mode. Looking forward to you getting it out to the field !

Your video are very informative, I have a question about this helicopter 330. Blade discounted this at the end of the year and then 2021 they brought it back but name it different they removed safe. Can you tell me if they improved it or made it less than what it was? thank you Parry
I would love a 300ish size lipo *only* heli to zip around with. Im more into speed and flybys than flips and such. Im not into drones, not cool enough for me.... The only thing killing heli's for me is the flight time which im guessing is only 5-10min? I do like this model but im unsure which heli would be best for what i would like and for longer flight times.

I just got the fusion 360 3s and the NX8 transmitter. I have been trying without luck to map the FM switch with Safe on in the Normal mode. I have not had much luck with Horizon support to find out how to do this. Should be straight forward. The manual for the Heli uses different setting shown on HH video for the controller. Thanks
Simple. Go to channel assign. Set Gear to Flight Mode Switch. Not B. Even though it’s the same. It will work now.
I see you have the ix12 with that 330s. It flew nice and smooth. I have the same two. I get a tail wag. It was sent back to horizon hobby after a crash. They said the tail wag was fixed but to adjust the forward gain to my liking! I got it back but the tail wag is still there. Any advice? Your 330s is steady! I also have the ix12...
Thank you so much! I had my buddy that is my computer guy that I fly with updated my DX8g2 but it still don't have forward programming for that radio. I'm still not sure why it had stability on a few batteries and not on a few batteries after. I had checked all my switches and nothing else had changed. I'll have to eventually upgrade to a IX 12 sometime when I had the money. This definitely helps out a lot, now I just need to figure out how to get rid of my tail wag. Hi Ray, I figured something out. Ok, Switch B can be assigned as Switch B or Flight Mode. I thought the Switch would be the same whether assigned as B or Flight Mode. It makes a difference. It must be assigned Flight Mode only. Also, make sure you have assigned Gear to Flight Mode. NOT B! I set up someone elses heli with B, and I had no Stability. Also, if you actually updated a DX8 gen 2, Forward Programming is in your Model Adjustment list. You may have to Auto Configure your Telemetry to get it to pop up. Check what firmware you have in your System menu. make sure it's the latest update. You don't need a new radio unless you want one. Thanks, Coe Show

@@rayduffield749 Go to telemetry in Model set up. At top, click on auto configure, and let it do it's thing. You have the Blade 330s bound, and the helicopter needs to be powered up for the Telemetry to Auto Configure, and for the Forward Programming to even show up on your Model Adjustment list. I just figured that out too, just now

Justin I could use some help setting up a 330s on an Nx8. I tried inputting the settings in the 330s manual but don't understand how to do the mix. Tried flying it but it doesn't auto level in normal mode. I also tried loading the pre-programmed 330s that is in the Nx8 but the settings are completely different and don't work right. Any input would be appreciated.
Hallo . Bei mir zittert das Heck immer hin und her und bin im Normal Modus mit den Gain P 57 immer noch leichtes zittern. Hab zwei Stück 330S bei alle zwei Heck Zittern und links Weg Triften.
How do you increase the bank angle limits in stability mode with dx6 gen2? (I've done the firmware update to get forward programming)

Coming from DJI drones, I'm curious, what's the flight times like with these helis?
Before the drones, used to fly Blade products, but, I wanted something with a camera. I'm exploring going back to helis and fly scale. Not interested at all in flying 3D. Just love the looks of a helicopter and want to learn to fly collective pitch helis.

Something has happened with my 6250HX that I had to replace on my 330S. I was trying to adjust some settings to correct some drift. After doing a sensor calibration, that I don't really think worked, (only took a fraction of a second), now the controller is flashing red red red green over and over. I can go to forward programming but cannot control anything. I have rebound the singe receiver on port 1 of the controller. Nothing helps. I can go to servo setup and change the frequency of the servos and they activate, but won't move. Power down and back up and it has lost the servos again. About to pull my hair out. I have done a reset, which probably did more harm than good. Any suggestions?
Yes, so that 6250 is super fun right? I know what you mean. The calibration could not happen because the esc was beeping or servos twitching. It has to be completely still. Try using a 2s lipo with a servo connector on it to power up channel 1 only. Unplug the servos. Mark servo numbers with tape. Servos are 6vollt but the 6250 can handle up to 9 volts. Make sure 6250 is flat and not moving, and try calibration again. If that doesn’t work, email horizon and tell them about Pandora’s box. I agree, these problems need to be resolved. You can go way deeper and flash new 330s firmware with a spm3065 cable and a computer , but that’s pretty much millennial science too. I just avoid it. Try a ikon2 flybarless system if you go too nuts. It’s so simple my wife can do it.
What blades are those , They look like the blades on the fusion .. I don’t see where they sell them in 325 size .

The settings are in the manual and on line. You have to put those settings in your radio
I’m learning. Is there a standard set up for helicopter builds like a starting point ?or does each one come with a recommended starting point model specific ?
Just program the same numbers you see for your specific radio in the manual. You can adjust Dual Rates and Expo to your own liking
Is there an updated 330 S coming out? I was just looking at Horizon Hobby's website and it shows the 330 S Basic as pre-order..
Yes, just has a 4651 receiver and smart system. I think a micro 6250hx flight control too.
Does the 330x have stability mode?
Do you have any idea why my swash tilts forward on spool up in stability mode. Sometimes it tilts itself forward soo much that it will crash itself if I dont back off throttle. Alot of the time if I throttle down and back up it goes away. Thanks
Yep, you crashed hard. Rang its bell. So go to forward programming, system set up, have the heli level and flat as if it was flying shimmed on a table, and don’t shake or move, and hit calibrate, then hit complete. Let it reboot, unplug it. Plug it back in. Before all that, make sure you have no trim showing on screen from those trim tabs on your radio. They need to all be 0 in all flight modes before you start and always. Never use trim.
@@CoeShow619 It has never been crashed even lightly. I said if I dont throttle down it would crash. It only tilts after I start to throttle up in stability. Reduce throttle and it goes back level. I have calibrated it. I just unplugged the motor and played with the attitude trim and it seems to have stopped the weird tilting thing!
I’m just getting into rc heli’s the 330x will be my 2nd heli, I wanted to know what is the best radio for this heli without breaking the bank?
A cheap one would be spectrum DXE but that has no programming.

Tips for 330s. Go to Channel Assign. Make sure Gear is assigned to Flight Mode, not Switch B, even though it’s the same switch. If you have a Spektrum micro servo servo horn bag, it can use a servo arm that is one hole longer. It gives better tail authority. If it wags, set mechanical center with about 2 degrees right pitch. As seen in my RC Helicopter tips and tricks videos. It is a fun helicopter. Play with the new gyro and Forward Programming. PID is just like setting up a drone if you’ve done that before. Or watch a video on PID gain.

The manual for my 230s has the gear assigned to switch B.The 330s manual has it in flight mode, which is what I will set it to.Why the difference in the two? Thanks for the help.
Can you adjust the attitude angle for stability mode?
Yes. Go forward Programming. Go to Safe. Go to attitude adjust. It has roll and pitch adjustments
I use a dx6 gen 2. On the safe adjust screen for attitude, it shows:
"attitude trim"
Roll 250
Pitch -250
It this what i need to adjust to get more pitch angle and roll angle in "safe" mode?

Make sure your transmitter is updated. Auto Configure in Telemetry screen. Now go to Forward Programming. Click on it. When it loads the menu, click Stability, now assign it to stunt 1 or 2 or whatever you want.
Good, I have acquired this model recently, I flew it on one occasion and in the next one being in the air began to turn on itself. Then I try to take it off and the same thing happens to me, it turns on itself, could someone help me?
check the tail rotor, look at the linkage. If the heli turns, the tail rotor counters the torque. Look at it. Fix it.

Hello, my name is manfred and i am from germany. I also have a 330S bnf and i'm using a DX8G2, my problem is how to set stability-mode because my helicopter does not work with it.
I take the parameters from the spektrum-side of the web, loaded it in the Radio, but nothing happens, my 330S has no self-levelling. I hope you understand my problem even though my english is not so good.
