Some say he is the dark side of Ed Banger records, I know he likes it,
and I must say I agree with that. But i also believe Sebastian created what people
are calling the Ed Banger sound, he is the twisted head of Ed Rec.
Today, he is pushing it a little bit further, and he makes me a happy label boss.
"Embody" is not the boring "banger" you could expect from the man responsible

When I heard "Embody" for the first time I imagined Prince and Sebastian in Paris, sharing a glass of wine in a smoky basement. He surprised me and I hope you'll be touched too.

For all those who don't understand who the black boy is, he is music. He is all around us but no one really sees him and that's because we cannot see music, but if you notice from the headphones to the stereo he is all around dancing and jumping, even in the stores and typical places for music to be but we don't actually (visually/physically) notice or pay attention to it. Even in the bedroom when the couple were doing their thang, music is there where he was jumpy but started sitting and was just bobbing to represent the calmer side of music (sensual) and when the girls dad turns off the stereo he disappears as well but when she turns it back on he returns. The dressing at the beginning is the creation of music and when he gets changed to a tuxedo it shows how music is changing and getting better every day 💯 At least that's my analyzation.

The dancing black kid represents this song. At the start is them creating the song(teaching the kid to dance), then they let him outside to the public (publishing their track). He then dances around the people who are listening to it, they can't see him because he IS the music.

I think that SebastiAn wanted to represent literally the “embodiment” of his art through music. Meaning that he wanted people to feel happy, feel warm, to feel he’s there for you with this song. He wanted people to connect and have a good time, no matter if you are running, at the groceries, doing sudoku, or making love. That’s at least what I think, nevertheless the music is just eargasmic and will always come back to it

I just can't get over this song- there's something to be said of the beauty in minimalism, where having so little with such repetition could be even better than the beauty of complexity. However, you have to also consider the realms they inhabit: where one struggles to constantly shift, the other fights its hardest to stay the same.

Oh yes. :) I too was brought to this by the Lacoste Live advert. This is the best music and video combined I've witnessed for a long time. The tune is completely awesome throughout and couldn't possibly be more cool than it is and the same goes for the video. The young dude in it totally embodies the funky sound he's dancing to. What a star. Effing fantastic overall.
