Making the video for 'Hounds Of Love' was crazy. Filmed in Los Angeles in a public park at night, with a 30 strong crew. Not including the canines. Running into a blinding bright light in the pitch black night with cute dogs everywhere. We only just finished by sunrise.

I bet half of the people watching this have visceral memories of being in a sweaty indie club sometime between 2005 and 2009 and hearing the end of a heavy track fade into the intro of this one as it began to echo around the dancefloor, and it gradually getting louder as everyone on the dancefloor began to join in. Can of red stripe or some equally pissy lager in hand. A classic.

One of the best covers ever. Manages to evoke a slightly different feeling than the original, which allows it to stand on its own. I say this with Kate Bush being my favorite artist.
Kate Bush liked the cover. She phoned them up in their studio to tell them she like it. But they missed the call and she left a message on the answer machine
I honestly never knew this was a cover, just blew my mind.
Really is a fun cover, but you know what I love about this song? It gives me a chance to sing Hounds Of Love at karaoke. No way I can hit Kate Bush notes, but I can sing this.

For decades Kate Bush has been ignored by the music industry at large. They wanted to control her from the beginning but she refused to play their game, opting for her exquisite artistry over their support.
Kate has a huge fan base because of her artistic integrity and not compromising her genius. Consequently, anyone relating to her, or her work, is seen as a bit fringe by music industry.
I can completely understand that they would not support this, for no actual reason.. other than that it is a Kate Bush song.
I find it hilarious that now, thanks to Running Up That Hill, Kate is the number 1 artist for weeks on end. The music industry can't control this new generation of consumers, who want what they like and demand to get it. I hope that now, 30-45 years after her earliest work, these new listeners have the chance to appreciate her entire catalogue.
Now we can put our finger on it, she's exactly 37years ahead of her time.
They actually invented the first headset microphone for her, years before Madonna made it famous.

As so many other comments say, this is possibly one of the best covers. One of Kate’s greatest songs and lucky enough to see her live back in the day. The other greatest cover in my opinion is Walk on By - covered by The Stranglers! One of Burt Bacharach and Hal David’s greatest songs. And I saw the band perform it live years ago, with Peter Gabriel on the bill as well - just brilliant. Also lucky to see Burt live about 15 years ago.

Used to sit around watching MTV2 for hours on end just to catch this song. One of the greatest covers ever and great to see the video again, brings back memories of wearing tatty vans and shopping in topman.

I am an American millennial. I knew of Kate Bush in high school because of Placebo's cover of Running Up That Hill, but for years and up until Google Play Music (rip) recommended me this recording, that was the only thing I knew about her.
When I first heard this and listened to the lyrics, I thought it was kind of a shitty attitude for a man to have when writing a song, I was delighted to find out that it's a cover.
It's not that I dislike KB's recordings, but man Placebo's and your covers just hit me much harder.

A shockingly good debut album. You know an album is good when this delightful cover is like my fourth fave track. These guys have that jittery youthful energy with urgency with their first album and it shows with hit after hit…maybe not chart hits, but hits nonetheless.
Well, we're almost a quarter of the way through the 21st century and still nobody has managed to make a record better than this. Thank you boys, sublime.
