If you’re referring about those 3 torp hits from the Yudachi, that’s not a bug to the best of my knowledge. Your ship has sections with a pre disposed amount of health and once it’s gone your ship will only take a small limited amount of damage in those sections. It’s called saturated damage and that’s what happened there

LOL okay I see the second comment but yeah I guessed damage saturation...but the Tirpitz torp just rubbed me the wrong way haha I should've been dead.
@@DerkaGames lol yea, I was commenting as I was watching, didn’t see the Tirpitz torp till the end, but from what WG claims, once a part of the ship has been saturated it then takes about 5-10% of that sections hp I forgot exactly what the exact figure was but regardless, it still should’ve done damage to you.

I'm pretty sure once the specific part of the ship's HP pool is reduced to zero it takes no dmg, but before that it even starts taking less, if you notice, one of the last Yadachi torps does 19 dmg. I bet that was the last of the hit points in your bow
Considering 99% of the damage you took that game was to the bow, I'd dare say that's damage saturation working as intended... and let's be honest how often do you take +2 torp hits to the same damage section in a DD and not die from another source immediately after or haven't been damaged prior to the torp hits? I'd say it's a rare occurrence that the Yudachi in theory could have killed you during if they had just hit you one more time with their guns; besides the Tirpitz might've never known you were on 113 HP, though I do tend to notice when my penetrations do 0 damage, so who knows. Great video, even if I'm only seeing it now ;)
It's damage saturation can be a nightmare when USA dd coming at you nose on and can't finish them off even with guns
I really think you got your bow damage saturated, cause you took 2 yudachi torpedos there. All torps that hit you were in the same area of the ship.
I suggest an anti torpedo meme build for Big Mammie (I think it has 46% torpedo damage reduction), with Willis, AL Hood and AL Nelson (AL Baltimore or Dewey to improve steering or detection) as inspirations.
Second option is a torp dedicated Odin using Clara Teslau with AL Baltimore and Gleaves/AL Atago/ Space Fishy as inspirations.
You're the 2nd person to recomend the german BB torpedo boat. I'll def consider that. Boomsticks just looks like crap with the dispersion nerf.
@@DerkaGames I considered AL Scharnhorst as an alternative main commander, but you would have to give up porcupine for her unique skill.
Still, it is another option you can use to tryout.
I sugested Odin, because it has hydro and more survivability on the torpedo launchers, and am not a fan of even gun turrets.

If I was that Tirpitz, i would be pissed. If it is damage saturation, they need to rethink how that works on DD's (or maybe you're the first person ever to survive saturating damage in one lol). I am just learning the game, but if you take a torp, it should do 113 damage lol.

Ok so I wrote that first comment before seeing that last torp hit. That’s probably a bug because you’re still supposed to take some damage even if your ship is so damage saturated.
I've seen it happen before, once a ship is saturated enough it doesn't take damage, the "hp" in that slice of the ship is a zero, but he still takes a flood.
They won't fix it, but Shima is OP!!!!!
It also happened at the 3:20 mark. You can see that one of the torps did a whopping 19 damage to you and one or two others did zero damage. I hope this isn’t working as intended.
A bit unrelated but worth mentioning is getting main battery penetrations and getting zero damage. That makes no sense to me, damage saturation or not. It still penetrated and left a whole or took out a sailor, or hit with high explosive so there has to be something even if it’s reduced damage.
I hope it's not either! Yeah I thought if the area was over saturated it should still take a percentage of total health!
@@DerkaGames If I remember correctly, once an area is saturated enough, no more damage can be taken from it, unless it is in the citadel/vitals area.

Think the Kagero also does a lot better with Sano.
The reason I didn't talk about Kagero....when I was originally grinding Akatsuki, Yudachi came out in a campaign. I never saw a reason to finish to Kagero.

@@DerkaGames Anyone with a Yudachi would not go for Kagero😀. I started playing when the ZF-6 campaign was closing. Now I at least have a poor man’s Yudachi 😂

Sorry Bravo that was vague lol. Blue Furiora is a German destroyer commander, she was from the Rust N Rumble event last year. Her base trait increases destroyer speed!
