WE ARE ONE is a new choral work for a cappella voices. Starting with a soloist, the piece grows into a small ensemble and then finally the resonant entrance of the entire choir. Harmonic and homophonic voice leading gives strength to the text, creating a hymn-like quality. Divisi does occur at times within specific voice sections, all the while articulating and expanding the universality and connection to the seemingly simple text. Your singers will fall in love with this choral piece and, hopefully, be inspired to create a better humanity for today’s world.
