Yes, after 12 months of testing demo software - I used the demo software daily for 1 month each, I have found the best embroidery software for beginners and advanced digitizers, in my opinion! I wrote down the merits for each machine embroidery software that I tested. A few of the items that I noted were: usability, learning curve, suitable for beginner digitizers or embroiderers, stitch types available, special stitch effects and add ons. I selected add ons as part of my testing because I think it is great if you can add on to a program for extra goodies - but still have the use of the FULL digitizing program.
In this video, I am going to show you a few things that really stood out in this software - some amazing effects and easy things to do.

Ok everyone, let me explain something. When I did all of my research, I did not take price into consideration at all. Why? Because it was NOT about finding the cheapest software, or the most discounted software, it was finding the easiest and most useful software with lots of options. While I do understand that the price range may be out of range for some people, others are ok with it. If you want professional level software for the home embroiderer, then I am recommending this software, I love it. Some people can, and some people can’t -like a Luminaire or a $400 machine - everyone has their own limit. Please keep the comments positive about the software, and just look at the cool features, please. We are a positive helpful group and I worked very hard to do this research for your information - your preferences are yours, if you love your software then that’s great!!! I am not asking anyone to purchase the software, I am just showing you the results of my research and why I like working with this software. So please, lets keep positive.

Perhaps a word about the price up front would be helpful. Knowing that it can be purchased for a deep discount at a DIME event takes us into hucksterism territory. It all just smells bad. Perhaps they should reconsider their marketing approach towards beginners. We are the audience, aren’t we? Professionals already know of the various options, and will be able to treat this purchase as a business expense.

Wow.........and I thought $3000.00 was too high for the sewing machine of my dreams. As a home sewer I just could not even begin to justify the price of this software. Count me out please.
Just with anything else. This is something you personally have to justify the purchase. Do you plan to do alot of embroidery work? Do you want to purchase all the time or design your own? Is it worth it for as much as you do? We all have to ponder these questions and decide. We are not all lucky to just go out and purchase it on a wimm. So... I understand your feelings. Down the road you might be in a better place to splurge. At least you have better knowledge what to look for because of this video.

Thanks for a great intro to some of the exciting features of PEP. I really like the scissors icon which makes it very easy to see the trims. Also impressed with all the fonts and the ability to change, resize or apply effects to them so easily. Is very feature rich software with lots of designs ready to use - what’s not to like! Sorry to say another software purchase is not in my future for a long while as I am still recovering from my initial machine and software purchase to get into digitizing and up my embroidery game. Also I need to learn more about what I already have so I can do a reasonable comparison. Thus I will be drooling from the sidelines, but I will enjoy learning more ways to utilize embroidery software and figuring out if my software will do the things you show. Would love if you could do some comparison videos - this is how you do it in PEP, this is how you do it in Hatch, Embird, Ultra, etc. Thanks again for all you do! I’m looking forward to the next installment. :)

I think it is cool that every month you can download fee designs and they stitch out beautifully. I look forward to keep learning from you. Manufacturers suggested price is just that- a suggestion. Im sure the price is lower. I will watch for Dime events and see if it goes on sale. Real ,Professional software is expensive. That is a fact. If you just want to dabble then this is probably not an option for you . But if you want to do this as a living then this is the way to go. I am going to take a serious look at this and would never have found it if it was'nt for Sue. Thank you for doing such a good job! Also -you make hard stuff easy by teaching us in such a factual step by step way. Please continue!
I had seen this software but wasn't sure what was better and easier to use. Like i mentioned in another comment. My software opens each thing on a new page and its frustrating. Yes, if i wanted to bother with playing for hours trying to figure it out... I could. But a much user friendly software that does most of the similar things saves me time and frustrstion. So... To me it would be worth it.
I bounce between Floriani and DIME. I enjoy both and where one may be a little weaker, the other is a bit stronger. DIME is a good choice and like you said, has so many optional addons that work wonderful!
I really need to start digitizing again, I love this software. I need some motivation🦋
Thanks so much for this review Sue. I had come across it before when searching for software but quickly decided against due to the price. I am now frantically trying to win the lottery so can buy this and the luminaire. Wouldn"t that be great!! But love to watch and learn how to use these software and their capabilities, so when I do become a millionaire I will be able to buy.

Thank you for this video and the time you have taken to review this software, but unless I win the lottery there is absolutely no way I could afford this software. Shame really because is does look good. Never mind I shall stick to Hatch, which I am very pleased with.

No, I don’t own it, but if you have an embroidery machine, we paid what we thought it was worth. I think this is pretty cool, regardless of the price. The developers put a lot into it!

@@TessianLeakDesigns if you read the pinned comments, you will see that the price is less than half of the MSRP. Dime does NOT sell the software, dealers sell it along with some bonuses.
I do have a so called professional software on my computer for embroidery. But this software is much better laid out and user friendly. Mine doesn't drop in each step easy like this. It makes its own page or something. Its frustrating to use. Mine does read and convert several files to what i want it as. So i can take a XXX file and turn it into a jef file or any other file. Or i can purchsse any file and convert it over to my file to use. But.... Mine didn't come with as much lettering fonts. Mine is much harder to execute what i wash to do. This is far beyond easier. Basically if you can run a computer, you can do this..... Amazing.... Thanks for showing us this!
Wish I had seen this before I bought Embrilliance but, unfortunately, one cannot sell softeware once purchased. Pretty awesome software! Pricey but looks like it is worth it. Maybe at a later date.
This is wonderful software. But wayyyyy out of my price range for a hobbyist.

Well I found the software at the lowest for $3,000 , it does look amazing so maybe for a future purchase, now back to embird tutorials for a refresher, I just had to purchase a new embroidery machine a few weeks ago as my first one died on me a few years back so totally forgot how to navigate through the software.
I actually own it. I’m excited you chose it. Go to an event and you can get it discounted. It was 40% savings for me.
So, only $2500! Still too expensive for a beginner as Sue is saying this is a good fit for. Ouch.
I own this software and I absolutely love it. In fact, I have all but two of the DIME softwares. On a side note regarding the price. I was lucky enough to attend a DIME event and was able to get this software for way less than the $4200. DIME does run specials on the software when you attend an event. However, it does depend on which event you attend. I also own the software which came with my Dream Machine for free and found it not to be very intuitive. The thing that sold me on Perfect Embroidery Pro is you get so much for a beginner digitizing software and the updates/upgrades are free as long as you own the software. No having to pay an additional amount for future upgrades.I also like the fact if you have the add on software you can get to all of them through PEP(Perfect Embroidery Pro) No having to open each software separately. I could go on and on that's how much I love this software. Thank you Sue for providing this demonstration. I actually learned something today that I didn't know I could do.
This is way easier than the sew professional that i own. Opening up things seperate and merging them is a pain in the butt. First you need to learn and figure it all out. Go through much trial and error just to accomplish something. Sometimes it takes hours. So.... Yes this program looks worth it too me
I really do like this from what you are showing but guess will stick with my Pallette 11 since can't afford the price everyone is talking about.
Having been a beginner not too long ago you out grow your beginning software & designs very quickly and end up investing here & there to try to get more bells & whistles. It adds up quickly so this in really not that crazy if you average it out over say 5 years.

Thank you for taking so much of your time to compare the many types of design software available. This software looks amazing and very beginner friendly. If I ever advance beyond hobbyist and decide to take on digitizing, then I will definately take your research into account.
Love that it clearly shows the trims - what a plus, trims are a big struggle for me. This will make it so much easier for anyone who uses this software.
Would you choose this over Hatch as a total newbie?

Amazing video The price is way too expensive for beginners , Beginners don't need to start with something with that type of price tag on it especially if it cost more than their machine but that doesn't really matter , Embrilliance And Hatch AR too amazing embroidery software that you can grow into more and more as You gain experience
The price tag for PEP software is pretty close to other software that you mentioned, plus you get many bonuses. Some beginners get a luminaire as their first machine, and some don’t. I really think it is up to them, and of course this video is simply my opinion.
Hi Sue excellent video as always and very thorough. Perfect Embroidery Pro looks very similar to Floriani TCU, would you do a video on the differences between them and the pros and cons between the two pieces of software please?

A lot of people are complaining about the cost of the software. But you can easily find this software at a lower price than $200. At trade shows, quilting/embroidery shows. etc. you will often see reps selling this software for$1200-1500. I have learned if you really want something you'll find a way to get it. I personally have never seen it priced at $4200. But I have found a number of great deals from authorized retailers online. In fact I found it for $1500 recently.

I use Embird. Very inexpensive and does great digitizing.
Nothing beats Wilcom Hatch 2, this feels like a paid promotion btw.

You know you would think more companies would offer that on programs of this pricing. Id even pay a monthly subscription like I do for Adobe products. This program does look outstanding though.

When I looked at the price, I nearly had a heart attack! Great software, but too expensive for new business starters. They could do a smaller starter package that would be more price friendly, then upgrade possibly?

Ann Warren the price you see on the dime website is not the price you pay - it is the msrp. You can only purchase the software at a dime event or a dime reseller - and it is heavily discounted and has some awesome bonuses.

I wish you, or someone I really trust, would have reviewed the software I bought. I don't use it regularly so that may be part of my problem. I feel that the software I bought, even though it was marketed as "beginner friendly", is far from that. It was very pricey as well. I'm so frustrated.

Well that’s disappointing, not only is it over $4000 dollars but it won’t work on a Mac using the current OS of Catalina as it requires dimetranslator which won’t work with Catalina.
This is not a price that a home embroiderer could afford...

It is great due to its ease of use and capabilities it offers. I feel that is what Sue is trying to explain. I know myself she is correct compared to what i own.
Your video is just as good as this vendor's website at hiding the price of this program. If the price if to steep to even consider, then I guess, you just never mention it.

the price is MSRP, it is much less at dealers where they sell the software. the price is comparable to other embroidery software purchased at a dealer.

You should remove the mentions of beginners. Beginners should not be dropping that much coin on something they are beginning. Maybe after a few years when you are no longer considered a beginner.
