Things have been very rainy here in the province where we live. I have a mosquito infection on my left shin and have been taking anti biotics to help with the infection. Today Luisa and her mom made sticky rice and the kids played outside in the rain most of the morning. Stay tuned for more adventures to come.

Looks so wonderful there are kids playing as well as the. wife. Simple life roof over your head food in your stomach clothes on your back and living a good life. When I see the kids playing that makes me happy because there so innocent of life can be like. Live for today have fun eat and enjoy life. The kids here cannot be active electronics and everything else scared. the heat find shade and still have fun. I remember snow was 2 feet deep and my brothers and sister begging to go out and even when it rained now days couldn't get them out into fresh air. I think these videos will be more interesting more family life and life in general. Keep up the good work.

I like sticky rice, never seen it made before.
Everybody looked happy to have the sticky rice. I would love to try it. I am amazed at how happy Bing seems to be there. That's awesome! I would love to sit under that tin roof in the rain and play my guitar, or take a nap. Hahaha. How old is Lot's grandma? I have questions about building stuff there, but I know you have so many folks to reply to that you probably wouldn't be able to answer, I get that. Be safe.
It's nice seeing everyone enjoying the sticky rice. Hopefully the antibiotics will help with your infection.

Life is hard with no family and friends. My hope is to one day soon to be there to enjoy the country and hopefully God will bless me with a family of my own. Life in the province is so much better than in the city. Kids play rain or shine. The green is so brilliant rain changes everything
You have a nice big family. Glad everyone is doing good. Once you get your floor and cabinets in, you will feel more comfortable. A garden is a nice idea. You can grow your own vegetables. Thanks for teaching us all how to make sticky rice! 😋

when my feet got swollen my tita Lourdes, the local helot, got some papaya leaves and boiled them and i soaked my feet in it and that worked..i was surprised.

Brian, Haters are gonna hate... I Like the House, things are done in Filipino Time. So, sure it takes a little longer. I am looking forward to seeing the House come together. I follow a vlogger in Iloilo who took over a year to build a house. It was fun to watch progress and see the house materialize over time. He is still not done, adding things here and there. Province Life is a little different, i like the Peace and Quiet out there. 😊
I'm going back and forth where live when I leave Makati. I've been Siargao.. 2 times..loved it once away from the many expats Gen Luna.. I'm jealous of u in ways.. but undecided if I'm going full providence 😆 I do want to build a smaller house..bring that's what I do .. Maybe see u in the next couple months.. will take u all out to Beibiesif u wish Stay safe all

I love these new videos, Brian. This is the real philippines, not those concrete jungles. Simple living in the province is good for the soul and is actually much healthier than one would think. I've gone through the same thing that you are going through with the sore on the leg and the antibiotics. Just watch your temper as antibiotics can affect your emotions, so be patient and relax. i was helping the wife and sister in law make biko on my last trip and when i was stirring the rice into the sugar i got a bit overboard and knocked the whole thing on the ground ... i learned a few new visayan cuss words and the dogs didnt go hungry that day

Reading the comments below, Brian, as to how you're looking and feeling better, and it is very noticeable how well rested and relaxed you seem now - compared to past months. It is true! Province life may not be the fountain of youth per se, but its positive effects are happening for you. Day by day, and project by project, things will come together in creating your new home life there. Given the bites to your legs, you might want to consider wearing very lightweight, longer pants, for your own safety. Sounds like Lot was able to get you to good medical treatment with antibiotics & tablets. Be well!

I hope everything works out well for you, but the location resembles a Philippine shack town with 10 or more people bustling around. You have been drawn into the complex Philippine extended family dynamics, accompanied by few redeeming qualities for a comfortable living situation.

Cool rains easy sleeping sounds. Getting a ton of rain here in FL so easy on the AC 😊 Garden space is looking good. On the starlink look into a covered dome type that might help with connectivity in the ☔ rain. I think its a radome cover shell. Sticky rice looked good 👍

Glad to see you up and around Brian....I mentioned on Lut channel, that you should look into getting some mosquito netting for over your bed. You can attach it to the ceiling and drape it over your bed...so you are not getting bit all night. I also thought investing in some retractable clothes lines would be a gonga thing for your family. Taking advantage of the fresh air would be great for drying clothes rather than hanging then on the wood near the shed......just some thoughts/observations from watching your vlogs. Continue to work on your health and getting better and look forward to seeing more of the area when you are up and around.
