Found your channel today and I’m enjoying your videos. I’m an avid cyclist, live in the Grantsburg/St. Croix Falls area. Returned from a cycling adventure in Norway in September and suffered a heart attack and had triple bypass surgery. Heart is fine the arteries were clogged. Rehab is going great and feeling much better. Living sort of vicariously through your CAMBA video today. Good job and thanks. Sent you a Strava request.
You're practically a neighbor! There's a cool bikepacking route that goes through Grantsburg-we did it last summer-the Mammoth Gravel Loop. Glad you're on the mend. Norway sounds incredible.
Well, that turned into a proper adventure! Thank goodness Tony brought the emergency light. Thank you for sharing the adventure with us! I love those trails so much and this got me through the first half of my trainer ride tonight!
Katrina, thanks for the video. I will be using it for my trainer rides this winter. I did a CAMBA ride about 4 years ago, about the same time of the year. I was going for a quick ride around Patsy Lake on my way home from Bayfield, WI. I didn't get started until around 4pm. I was not thinking about how early it was getting dark and did not bring any lights with me. I loved the ride, by myself, but about half way through the skies started getting dark and I had to bust my butt to finish before it went totally dark. Tony's light was a great benefit I am sure. Nothing like a little extra adventure to make a ride memorable.😅
Thanks for watching! I think it’ll be fun to watch on the trainer for me too! Yes, it gets dark quick this time of year…lights are going to be part of my gear this fall now!
My frame bag which is always on my bike, has tools and both front and back lights in it. You never know a delay, like helping yourself, or others will happen. Good riding.
@@katrinahase As we get more into the senior years(65 years of riding and slower) we go more and more prepared. (scout motto) lol. The slower you go the more you must carry.

Well that was fun to watch. But that darkness though!!! Y’all are awesome!
Haha yeah that darkness was definitely ‘extra’!

Good idea! I should ride with you instead of these rascals 😂. Seriously though, I should adopt that practice!

Your cell phone has a lamp. Which is better than nothing.
True!
