  • In todays video we check out some of the CAMBA trail system in northwestern Wisconsin. The majority of this trail system feels very old school but in a good way. As we ventured further into the system we began to come across more "modern built trails" and began to get sendy! We did come across quite a few trails that looked promising but with some pretty sharp and flat corners these lost our interest quickly but we still were having fun. Overall the trails are fun and there are some good bits and pieces scattered throughout the trails that we took. For myself would this be a travel worthy destination (3 hour drive) for another visit? My answer would be no BUT if I happened to be in the area I absolutely would go and ride. But take my opinion with a grain of salt and I'm curious what you all think about this trail system? Have you ridden here before? What are your thoughts?
    As always thanks for watching and I'll see you guys on the next trail!
    We had a great crew this trip, go check them out!

    Epic day on the bike despite not riding the “official” IMBA Epic, we blazed our own trail and had a blast only getting slightly lost. You and Dialed In were flying down the trails this day and Sam and I had some fun trails and tribulations on the damp, mossy, rotting skinnies! Loved how Sam predicted his own demise twice on that SKETCHY skinny but still went for it. Fun day finally meeting and riding with you!

    Excellent day in the books! Some excellent skinny wins and fails by Sam and Andrew! We put down some serious miles this day and got in much of the goods CAMBA has to offer. Great video Evan! I'm stoked to see the Ashwabay footage from the following day where Sam goes all in!🤣

    Those trails look great. Wow what a bunch of sweet flow. I'll pass on the skinny skinnies. That's a disaster for the derailer. How many miles of trail is there? All single track? Thanks for sharing this with us.

    Had a fun time riding with you dudes. And damn Andrew, the biking Viking was hauling ass down the moist and mossy River Pig skinny. Absolute madman. Nice save on that high speed turn btw, had you not put your foot down it may have been the shoulder. Just another reason to keep riding flats. Looking forward to the 2nd part of the adventure next!

    The whole banging crew... Looked like an awesome day! I have only done winter fat biking out there and that was fun. Have been thinking about making that trip but just havent pulled the trigger. What route did you guys took? Looked like Flow Mama Dirt Candy...

      Thanks my man, We started at the North End Trailhead, Started counter clockwise on Ojibwe, then onto FlowMama with a little Gravity cavity with a portion of Seely pass. We then made our way back up to Ojibwe over to Dirt Candy, Downward Spiral, to Dirt Candy alternate which I believe is the one we sessioned and was a favorite by all, we then finished on the Fire road which we took back to the North End trailhead as it was getting dark. Such a good time, especially the end of the ride on Dirt Candy alternate..

      @The Dusty Dutchman, I’m really digging your videos! It’d be awesome to round up a crew and hit some of the deeper east WI stuff, especially with a guide! Let’s do it!

      @@Dialed1 thanks man! Likewise. I’m in! I’m sure we can get our paths to cross soon. I usually only make it to the CAMBA trails once a year but I do travel north to the WinMan trails pretty frequently. Also I try to get to Cuyuna once or twice a year as well 👍

      @@TheDustyDutchman Certainly let us know if you ride Cuyuna! I could keep us all on track to hit the good stuff😉 and avoid the not so good😒..

      @@TheDustyDutchman Fan of the channel as well man. If you’ve already hit Cuyuna a few times I would recommend going a little out of the way and checking out Tioga. It is the most fun and easily sessionable trails of the three big Iron Range systems. Also, just out of curiosity what are your all time favorite WI trails? I’ve hit Nicolet Roche, CAMBA, ashwabay, LaCrosse, Winman and a couple super close to the mpls (whitetail ridge, Willow river). Plan on visiting a buddy and hitting Standing Rock and Underdown soon. Any recommendations?

    Did you do Rock Lake and the Hildebrand loops that are part of the Epic? Rock Lake fits its name as 10 plus miles of grueling rock pounding rattle your teeth and test your rocky trail limits.

    • @MinnesotaMTB_
      @MinnesotaMTB_  2 роки тому

      Nope we skipped all of Rock Lake!

    • @ElTerrible2011
      @ElTerrible2011 2 роки тому +1

      I hit Rock Lake in an older video. Definitely a challenging trail with some nice scenery and one of the coolest skinnies I’ve ever ridden. I will say though, I’m happy we decided to try something different. The Ojibwe trail was reminiscent of Rock Lake to an extent and Flow Mama, and especially Dirt Candy, were the most fun I had in the Cable area.

      I camped overnight at Roam Adventure Basecamp, very nice wooded sites and pretty nice restroom and showers! I would recommend!
