This is EXACTLY what I am wanting...a FUNCTIONAL, beautiful, white/wood, antique friendly, family friendly- space. And that sink and stove are TO DIE FOR!! I am absolutely in love with what you've done!
You struck such a lovely balance between practicality, beauty, and customized function for your family while honoring the tradition of your farmhouse. Well done!
I have been looking forward to this reveal for quite a while and it did not disappoint! I love it all! I have one of those big cast iron sinks as well. What makes it so special is that it belonged to my grandmother.I rescued it out of a ditch! You did an amazing job on the whole thing!
I absolutely love it! You do such a great job marrying aesthetics, budgets, and functionality together in everything you share with us. I bet your family is so excited to have a complete kitchen again!
After all that time washing dishes in the bathroom sink, I can't even imagine how good it must have felt to wash them in your pretty, new sink! Your kitchen is beautiful. Ever since I was a little girl, I've had a dream of living in an old Victorian farm home just like this. So pretty!!
Many years and homes ago, I placed a shelf over my stove, and it lasted about 2 weeks. The grease and steam from cooking left a film on my cups and dishes which attracted dust. My ocd couldn’t handle it. I then found some metal hooks and hung my cast iron skillets on them. It turned out beautiful and functional. I use my skillets everyday, so it just worked out best for me. That island is gorgeous. I’m honestly envious of that island! The larger window is dreamy! Those brass sconces set the whole place off. You have a beautiful style that’s really all your own! Congratulations on a new kitchen!
lisa, your makeover of the girls room is stunning, so much help from Luke. Like the way u cut the quilts & duvets in half and stitched them. What talent from Lisa &Luke Bass.I graduated from Bass High School in DeKalb County, GA in 1965 in May & met my husband,a sailor, in Aug same year, we married the following Mar 23, 19645, had a baby Feb 28, 1966, 2 more later, baby is aman now 543 years old. The Bowens, conyers, ga
It turned out beautifully! I like the shaker look on the cabinet doors better than the plain panel because it looks more thoughtful. Like the carpenter spent more time on the door, not just put a handle on a flat piece of wood. But either way looks nice. Love the wood around the fridge and love that you chose a white fridge instead of stainless! The floors are gorgeous and that blue rug just makes it all pop. Very well thought out and executed. And that island table is more like an altar girl! You’re gonna love cooking and working on it. ❤️
Lisa, it looks absolutely amazing! I knew it would all come together just as you liked! The retro sink and stove with the new cabinetry and quartz countertops tie everything together SO well! And who could miss all the special touches you've added in that make it feel so comfortable! I LOVE IT AND KNOW Y'ALL DO TOO! Congratulations on finally having it done!
So nice and bright and all that work space!!!! Very nice, the kitchen is my favorite place to be! You must be so relieved to finally have a kitchen and thrilled to finally get back in there again,Thanks for sharing! Sandy
I love every single thing! Your style is so good. I love that you have enough restraint to not clutter up every surface. It's just so open and bright. Great job!! Those counter tops are perfect. Not too white and not too cream and no large veining. Ugh, it's just so good.
Love your kitchen. Can see you and your children kneading dough and just talking around the island table. Just doing what families do. Worth the time spent on it!
Lisa it's stunning. So open, airy and practical. The island is fantastic and the pops of blue with the pottery and carpet just bring it all together. I love being on this journey with you and your family. Thank you so much for sharing your very inspirational life x x x
I love this kitchen! You did a wonderful job. I wouldn't change the different cabinets/drawers at all. The way it is gives the idea that the kitchen evolved, was put together as it would have been - with things you had rather than purchasing. It's lovely and warm and perfect for your family!
The much awaited for KITCHEN ! It is just what I had in mind for your style...FABULOUS!!!! Loving that island and your cabinets! So worth the wait! I am excited for you! What a dream space! Nothing more amazing and farmhouse than “whites with a hint of wood tones!”... YES!!!! Well planned Lisa.... love it all!
And that's how Lisa does it!! You have pulled it off quite spectacular my dear and I am just in awe. Your kitchen is a true working kitchen. I have seen so many gorgeous kitchens worth of thousands dollars where the mainly thing that gets used is the microwave. Yours on the other hand has cutting boards and knives and salt and pepper by the stove. There is no triangulation involved ( who came up with that concept anyways? Most likely a person who doesn't cook), it's just functional and designed to help the home cook cook without walking around to exhaustion.Well done!
Absolutely dreamy! Well done. I would have the fridge cabinet go to the ceiling, other than that, shear perfection!!! Can't wait to see your pantry reveal.
It turned out wonderfully, Lisa!!! I am sooooo thrilled for you - and now ya get to actually do the dishes IN a gorgeous sink! That's the exact sink I loooong for! Congrats!!! xoxo
Wow!! I have been so excited to see this video for a year! I just love how it turned out and I'm so happy you finally have a fully functioning kitchen! Woohoo!
Great job on your beautiful kitchen! My sister had a 1916 home with a large kitchen. She had a large window similar to yours and she placed a large shelf over it to display beautiful things. Reminds me so much of yours. Thanks for sharing!
(Had an appointment this a.m.) last night when I saw your premier post and was bummed i wouldn't be able to watch live. Just watched it now. So Beautiful, was confident it would be thoroughly thought through in your design and it is... love all you did. The island table is gorgeous too. Your kitchen is super lovely. Sure it will bring memorable family times together in the growing up years. Thank you always for sharing Lisa, so happy for you all. Daniel so adorable as you explain💝
Oh, Lisa, it is just gorgeous AND functional!!! Great job and great patience!!! Dishes in the bathroom sink, ughhh!!! You and your family are saints!! I know you are over the moon and you should be!! I, too, love the table island. And now you DO have lots of light!! Amazing difference from before. You look beautiful and the little one, just precious!! HIs little cheek, so sweet! Congratulations to your and your husband for all your team work!! So happy for you all!!
Simple Gifts is my fave Christmas song. I love the tune all year long! I can hardly stand the thought that you went without a kitchen sink for months. Bless your heart! Beautiful end result.
Wonderful reno..!! I googled some photos of the Downton Abbey kitchen stage set today to pick up some details for a miniature Downton Abbey Kitchen I am doing (doll house size) and picked up a site that suggested details to add to your kitchen to get the DA kitchen look. I could hardly believe it when I watched your kitchen reveal..! So many of those details are in your kitchen, as well..! I love that your kitchen area is so much the heart of your home with all four of the areas you mentioned coming together.
Hello Lisa, Your kitchen turned out so nice. I love the simplicity, functionality and most of all your huge work space! Thank you for sharing your journey, you have done so much in a year’s time to make this house a home. Again, I love your style 💖👍🥰 God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
Absolutely beautiful! It reminds me of our first Victorian farmhouse more than 45 years ago. One of my favorite items was the pocket doors between the rooms. Wishing you all many years of happiness there. Blessings...
Oh my goodness, this is absolutely beautiful! I love the airiness but cosiness all at the same time. I especially like the prettiness of the vent above the refrigerator and the sink cabinet feet. Well done, it's amazing. X
Love it! Ever since I saw the chandelier you have in your bedroom I’ve been searching high and low for one just like it. I was unwilling to buy one new and full price or the $400+ ones in antique shops near me. I recently found one that looks JUST like the one over your dining room table for $30 on Facebook Marketplace! It was such a steal and I am so grateful to have found it. Thank you for the inspiration!
Your kitchen is marvelous! Only item missing for me is a kitchen wood stove. We have a 1930 Home Comfort in addition to our propane stove. That center island is excellent! Our working farm kitchen is set in the 1920s and 1930s. There is a 1924 oak Hoosier baking cabinet. I used to have an oak side board like yours. Just wonderful, the way you combined white with oak!
I just found your channel with your beautiful kitchen. Omg! What a nice, comfortable welcoming space. I especially love the vintage stove and sink. I'm 65 yrs old and if I ever have a small house, I would so loved to replicate some of this. Thanks for sharing. I'm now following you.
Love your new kitche and I’m so happy for you! It was worth the wait to get exactly what you wanted and needed. I particularly like the little piece of pierced wood between the refrigerator and the cabinet above it. What a lucky find!💛💛💛💛💛
The kitchen is just gorgeous!!! I absolutely love all the details like the unique sink and stove and the patches for the cabinets. The large wooden island is fantastic! The wooden cutting board to find that hole is so smart, too. You definitely achieved that cozy, lovely, functional look for your family to enjoy!
Love your style and vision. You obviously know exactly what you want and not afraid to explore a bit. I love the way you pull everything together . Very Blessed❤
Congratulations!! It looks beautiful, homey, comfortable and stylish. I renovated my kitchen ( farmhouse 1989) a few years ago by replacing the top cabinets and benchtops. I love it and just look at it enjoy and it everyday. So enjoy your gorgeous kitchen everyday too!
Beautiful kitchen! You did a wonderful job! I’m prepping to do a bit of a facelift in my kitchen. Seeing yours gives me hope that I can pull off what I have in mind. TFS!!
The kitchen looks Amazing! I like all the natural sunlight that bounces off the white walls and benches. Love all the details. Enjoy your new kitchen 💖
Wow!!! I'm in love with this renovation!!! Everything is perfectly tied in. So exciting to see the finished product. Can't wait for your next project!!! Thanks for sharing 😊
Absolutely stunning! I love that you kept the character of the home and that it's not just gray and white which seems to be the thing now. I love the warmer tones of the wood and the classic style of the home. You nailed this design and I'm in love. I have a 1920s colonial home and my kitchen cabinets are metal, the wall is gray and I did paint them white because they were yellow before, but now seeing your makeover, its prompting me to want bring the kitchen into the style of the rest of my home which is creams, beige, wood and more natural neutral tones. Very inspired. Thanks so much for the inspiration and for bringing us along with you. Tfs
I absolutely love it. I love the bead board w/that shelf above your stove. It's all so gorgeous and I LOOOOOOVEEEEE the cabinet doors being set in vs on top. Making a note of that for when we do our kitchen down the road. So pretty! I love those latches you used.
You’ve got a drop dead gorgeous kitchen with such a warm and comforting appeal. I’ll be watching a lot of your cooking videos because I can see myself wanting to hang out there with you.
Oh my goodness everything looks INCREDIBLE! Lol. Looking forward to the pantry redo too. Enjoy that awesome kitchen and show us some yummy meals soon. 😉

Hey Lisa, the kitchen was definitely worth the waiting! It turned out beautifully! It's so suited to your beautiful taste, so timeless pieces everywhere! Really gorgeous makeover! 😍😍👍🏻
Your vision for remodeling is so comfortable and peaceful looking. And, might I say, you look stunning today.
Well, thank you so very much!
This is EXACTLY what I am wanting...a FUNCTIONAL, beautiful, white/wood, antique friendly, family friendly- space. And that sink and stove are TO DIE FOR!! I am absolutely in love with what you've done!
A big table is always better than an island.Beautiful and simplified. The old Victorian kitchens were actually more practical ithink.
Yes i totally agree. I always see condos or new builds with giant islands and a small space for a table. Wth is that all about?
You struck such a lovely balance between practicality, beauty, and customized function for your family while honoring the tradition of your farmhouse. Well done!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love how practical and functional the kitchen is too.

I totally LOVE the flat panel cabinet doors because there are no edges or grooves to collect dust/food/grime.
Donna Huntwork That’s true too! Didn’t think of that. Gosh, hard to choose. They’re both so great.

I just have to say right away that I LOVE the use of "Simple Gifts" in your opener!!
It is beautiful! Such a great idea hanging cutting boards on the wall to cover up the hole. My favorite part is the metal design above the fridge!
The perfect farmhouse kitchen. I love all of it. All the little rustic and real touches you incorporated. It looks ready for action!
That island is everything!!!!! Wonderful job, Lisa!
