The feet to go under the sink: Paint them to match the cabinet and put a board behind them to close off the under counter. Paint that board black. Makes the feet stand out and makes the cabinet appear to be free standing. Also hides marks that get made by your shoe toes! Put the board a couple of inches back from the front of the cabinet to allow for toe space. Makes washing dishes easier.

I just love what you're doing to this kitchen. It's nothing like the hundreds of renos I have seen on Instagram. Might be strange but my favourite parts are in the tiny and improvised detail.... that piano trim for the fridge, and the feet you are mimicking for the sink. Such a great and original renovation!

I have a vintage farmhouse sink like yours. Mine is 6 feet long with drain boards on both sides. It came from a boarding house. I LOVE it! I don't know why modern sinks don't have built-in drainboards. It makes so much sense. I also have blue willow dishes. My kitchen is very vintage. My curtains are vintage aprons.

The feet for the sink is brilliant and I actually prefer the sink like that in the cabinets than your original idea. This way that gorgeous long table is the stand alone piece and that is even more beautiful. That new lighting over the long table is PERFECT! ✝️Jesus bless you
Kitchen looks fantastic. We too are a dishwasher free family. Its It's been 15 years now, and honestly I wouldn't change it. I love your table/island. It works perfect in a Victorian kitchen. Also loved hearing baby noises, too precious. Thanks for the update, looking forward to the reveal.
The shelves as you call them above your gas stove is called a "Plate Rack" very popular in the 80s and early 90s. My husband used to build them for lots of people. We have moved several times with my husbands work but I still have the plate racks. Love them! Love your videos.

Wow Lisa! The kitchen looks terrific and love the idea for the bracket feet on the sink cabinet. If you love the feet on the hutch just slide a piece of cardboard behind the foot and trace it with a pencil. Perhaps you could store the oils you use in the kitchen in your spice drawers. I do have one suggestion to tie your lights together, switch out the clear shades on the sconces for white ones replacement shades aren’t expensive and it will hide the bulbs.

Love how the kitchen is coming along. The wood looks so nice against the white walls. You could use the little spice cupboard for different teas, I’ve got a set of small wooden drawers in my kitchen for teas.🤗☕️ happy Christmas to you all.

Love you stove. Wish I had the one I had in the 70s. It was gas and had a griddle in the middle. It was made in the late 50s and we couldn't get parts for it. Enjoy your stove. There will be lots of memories around it.
Looking gorgeous! Love your solution for filling (yet still ventilating) the fridge gap!
With the sconces just flip them so they hang down just light your island light. It would be more cohesive and not feel so high up compared to the proportion of the wall space.
We used beadboard for our backsplash at our farm. It is FABULOUS! Cost-effective and perfect! We also repurposed a very similar sink in our bathroom! You're dong fabulous work!

Sounds like your contractor has the patience of a saint. People have no idea how complicated kitchens are. You have gas, electric, water, appliances, cabinets, countertops, windows, doors, etc.

I love everything you are doing! We just started on our kitchen cabinets and island this week. We have been without a kitchen sink for 3 years now. We wash our dishes in two wash bins. One for washing; one for rinsing. It works just fine.

I just had my kitchen remodeled last summer and I am so happy with mine and I did similar things as you as far as farmhouse sink and your colors that you used. It’s going to be beautiful!
Your kitchen looks great and can't wait to see the finished look. We built this year, and it's amazing how we had to make all the decisions before anything was built (placement of light switches, vanity lights, etc). We have light switches in weird places and not everything is perfect, but it's perfect for us! Your kitchen will be perfect for your family! When people feel that it's their place to make comments about our house, I tell them that yes, it does have quirks but we do too- and it's perfect for us!

And of course your stove, and your sink will be wonderful. That is funny about your faucet coming out too far. Who would have thought!
