I’ve got a 97 TJ 2.5L with 4” lift on 35s and it’s an absolute savage. Even in 2wd.
I wish I bought 35s for my jeep but how does the 2.5 like the 35s?
"you got dirt on my jeep" the whole thing being covered in mud prior lmao!!
Great video! This weekend I was in a similar situation as at this first obstacle, but I managed to get out without a winch.
Greetings from Croatia!
nature be bitin back in them trails. yeeeee yeeeee
my 99 TJ 5spd on 30x9.5s wants to live at 75 on the highway. Feels like you have to try to go slower but it can go fsster. One of the best ride improvements I got was a new set of matched tires. Specifically, properly mounted and balaned ones.
Thanks for the advance, I like my balanced 33s in the mud but they are definitely not the best for the road. Hopefully here soon she will be a trail jeep only.
Nice video! Mine is a 97 Sahara as well. Next on the list is a clutch, SYE, and then gears and lockers.
Hell yeah, you should make a video on it. Love to see how it looks, also thanks for the comment. Jeep videos will be back just gotta get the duramax up and running again🤘
TJ's will get you there and back, even with a bad clutch and 180k miles :) regear that puppy and adjust your draglink then put another 180k on it!
Sounds like the dream plan on this rig, definitely trying keep it budget friendly and running forever. Thanks for the comment
And even just 1 locker would make a huge difference probably would have went right through the creek
Been looking into getting the locker for the front. Got any recommendations? Trying keep it a budget jeep.
@@dirtyjimmy55 depends on what size of tires you have you can run a ratchet locker but I wouldn’t recommend anything over 33s on a ratchet style locker and I those are pretty street friendly. I’ve never ran any but my buddy has a spartan ratchet locker but probably the cheapest would be welding it or putting a spool in there. The reason why I wouldn’t recommend any bigger tire on a ratchet locker is because depending on what brand they use springs and stuff to lock and the bigger, the tire, the more rotating mess my buddy has a ratchet locker on a pair of 37’s, but he don’t drive it on the street trail only
@@dirtyjimmy55 and I don’t know what your budget is but there’s a company called grizzly I think it’s called and they make pretty reasonably priced gears if you have 33s or bigger I’d recommend at least a 488 even like a 513
@@churchsfarms483 sweet! I’ll definitely look into the gearing and the grizzly lockers, I’ll post a review on them. Thanks for the comment and the advice.
@@dirtyjimmy55 hell yeah
Where you wheeling at? Looks like a fun spot?
family owned property down in Southern part of Ohio and it’s definitely a fun spot just gotta make more trails.
Nice
Gear’s would help going up hills on the street
Km2s and lockers
What size wheels and tires?
33/12.50/15, fits good with around 4 inch lift
At 5:26 A locker wpuld be nice right about now.
Yeah, never had a locker before but I bet it’s always nice having one hahaha
Why not spend your free time fixing the Jeep instead of bringing it out in the middle of nowhere and have it break down and then risk having to get it out and risk somebody vandalizing it we're stealing your tires and Wheels
Because I just put bunch load of money and time into it, so I’m going to enjoy it. Also I was on my family’s property so it shouldn’t get vandalized. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Thanks for the comment
@@dirtyjimmy55 okay that's cool I got a 97 Wrangler 4 cylinder on 32s tube front fenders Warren rocker slides and square rear corner armor
@@JohnLewis-ij1gp sounds like a nice Machine you got yourself. How’s the 4 banger like off roading? Heard they have a lot of torque.
@@dirtyjimmy55 it's a good ride on the road and off road 411a years give it a little pep
@@JohnLewis-ij1gp love too see it, you should make videos on it.
what exhaust are you using or is it stock?
Straight pipe into a flow master muffler
@@dirtyjimmy55 thing sounds nice as hell
