After all the searches on Japanese metal bands and whatnot, I never heard of Necronomidol, until a few hours ago when a picture for a story on the band popped up in another metal group story I was reading, they have a new fan in Athens Georgia, USA 🤘🤘🇺🇸🇺🇸🇯🇵🇯🇵💖💖
Nice. The first psychedelic bit was a bit long, but when the dialog started it got better and better. The last bit with the Necroma girls was great. Can't wait to see more.
The music at the beginning was too loud and overpowered everything else, and I guess that they were going for the surreal and confusing vibe. They got it, but if they'd dialed the music back just a little bit it would have been more effective, IMO. Ricky's Japanese is pretty spot on, it sounds like! This made me want to watch the rest of this movie, which I'm about to do right now.
Pretty interesting. I'm sure the story will pick up in the next part, it's not like a Micheal Bay movie with explosions and lasers to "oo" and "ahh" at, with the plot being resolved within 90 mins. The lighting effects and the discordant music in the opening scenes really give the sense of disorientation and irritation. I'm not really a fan of "noise" as a soundtrack but it works as intended. Seeing the ladies is always a treat, especially Himari, they seemed pretty comfortable with the few lines they had so far. Also, I look forward to seeing Ricky break out and become the next Tom Cruise. 😁 The only thing that was a little off to me was the ending scene with Okaki and the "ghost". To me it seemed like the "ghost" was at a photo shoot with her gestures rather then a spirit tethered to the mortal realm. Other than that, it was great. Keep up the awesome work and I look forward to more!
Liked the lighting...and Okaki's look... She's a natural... Excellent... A detail I loved... The crooked cigarette... Really eager for the next part... Keep up the good work...👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Exactly, noticed that as well. I thought that he was a real smoker... Used to smoke, decades ago... and soft packet cigarettes never come out straight unless you've just bought them...
OK, so, I'm going to treat this like I'm screening it for a film festival. Pros and cons, overall impressions, and I'm putting my fandom aside. Pros: opening scenes quite creepy. Group ritual scene with women wearing masks is VERY creepy. Use of music was excellent. Well shot and lit. Makeup was on point. Cons: Ricky is clearly not an actor. Dialogue in middle scene (two men discussing an incident) is barely audible. And, this might be because I'm an American who grew up in a time when cities were a lot more dangerous than they are now, but what cheerleader in her right mind practices in uniform in a public park at night? Overall: Very unsettling but with flaws. Hoping the rest of the parts pulls this together better. Grade: B - would recommend with reservations.
Agree with Ricky and the cheerleader, there better be some connection later on, otherwise it's just a gratuitous scene... But, on the other hand, this is an amateur movie, so we should give them some room... I'll go with B+.
Shit......something cool better happen in part 2.........part 1 is awful. Boring. And the chic at the end was not scary or creepy.....she reminds me of that dumb girl from The Ring or whatever it's called......hails to NECRONOMIDOL!!!🤘

Okay, right, but will they find the Necronomicon and summon an Outer God, or will they be sacrificed to the Great Ancient Ones eventually?

Can someone tell me wtf did I just see
Part 1 of (what I believe is a 4 episodes) a Necronomidol short movie
@@OddballsHobbyChannel k then. I sure hope things will be better explained further into the series 'cause I didn't understand shit.
@@zenythar3017 Did you have the closed captions on? Not being an ass, just asking.
@@mrPCEmilkman yes, the "I didn't understand shit" was about the story, not the language. I'm not that good at japanese yet.
