8 Burrito Sized Flour Tortillas
Taco Meat
1 Pound Ground Beef
1/2 Large Onion - diced
2 Teaspoons Chili Powder
1 1/2 Teaspoons Cumin
2-3 Cloves of Garlic - minced
1 - 8 Ounce Can Tomato Sauce PLUS 1/4 can water to rinse out
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
Add-Ins
4 Cups Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese
1 - 15 Ounce Can Black Beans
1 - 4 Ounce Can Diced Green Chiles
1/4 Cup Pickled Jalapenos*
1/2 Bunch Cilantro
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
Toppings
Avocado
Guacamole
Salsa
Sour Cream
Limes
Cilantro
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Taco Meat
Over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink.
Add diced onion and seasonings, Stir to mix.
Add in tomato sauce and water.
Turn the heat down and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
How to Assemble
Using a baking sheet, place down 8 tortillas down, making sure to overlap and hang half over the sides (2 will go on each long side, 1 on each end, and 2 in the middle).
Sprinkle the bottom with 1/2 the shredded cheese.
Layer over the taco meat, black beans, green chilies, jalapenos, and cilantro evenly over top of the tortillas.
Sprinkle with the remaining half of cheese.
Gently fold each tortilla towards the middle and place 1 last one in the middle to cover up the remaining gap. Brush the top with olive oil, and place another baking sheet on top - right side up - helping to hold the tortillas down and bake evenly.
Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
Remove, cut into squares and serve with your desired toppings.
I have tried this three different ways and my husband and I loved all of them! Thanks for a great recipe, very easy to follow directions.
Thank you so much for letting me know this! That makes me so happy and so glad y'all have enjoyed!
My sister-in-law tried this recipe she said it was amazing, but she changed it a bit, she added grilled onions and bell peppers. I think the presenter did an awesome job!
Thank you so much! I love the grilled onion and peppers - I am sure that was delicious! I love that this recipe is just add whatever you like to it kind of recipe haha :)
This was super clever. I have never seen this technique before and I am definitely going to try it for a party! If you don't mind a little feedback, it would have been nice to see it come out of the oven and to see you demonstrating how to cut it. I feel like you kind of deprived us of the "wow" moment when the giant quesadilla was done. You seem lovely and I subscribed. Thanks!
Thank you for your feedback - that definitely would have been helpful and something I didn't think about and will help for future videos. Thank you for being kind too! I hope you enjoy the other recipes! Thank you for subscribing!
What degrees again?
@@heathernowell2544 She said 450 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Great recipe
Thank you!
wow im absolutely trying this tonight. i used to use the pan on the stove and hated that, then using my George foreman was too time consuming. this is perfect for me thank you!
Nice video, clear instructions. I cook for myself only, I will adapt for smaller quantity. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! It is very easy to make just a half batch for 1 with plenty of leftovers for sure! You can use a quarter sheet pan too! Thanks for watching :)
How many inches diameter tortillas? Sizes vary... 12"?
I’m confused! Is this video about YOURSELF taking fast and playing in front of the camera, or teaching HOW TO make a quesadilla? No close ups. Not enough visual info. Plenty of makeup.
My thoughts exactly, I want to see the food, not her!
I'm sure she's doing the best she can with the camera set up she has. Have you ever tried to film a quality video while cooking at the same time? (I have) If you don't have the budget to get a camera stand that goes directly above the food you're stuck making do with precarious balancing acts (setting your camera on at best a mini tripod balanced on top of books, bowls, whatever) just so you can angle the lense correctly to see the food. Add on top of that your own body getting in the way of the camera you just set up... it's harder than you're giving her credit for! The last close up shots at the end probably took quite a few attempts before getting it just right. Obviously you're not commenting just because you're confused... how is being rude to her going to accomplish anything? And commenting on her appearance as an insult is incredibly condescending. Her makeup has literally nothing to do with her camera skills. Pretty does not equal dumb, grow up. What a dumb thing to "say". (don't come at me saying you didn't say she was dumb - everyone who reads your comment knows that's what you were implying)
See Squissitissama's comment for an example on how to give constructive criticism.
Weird, I figured it out without being distracted by her makeup. Must be a YOU problem.
@MrAstephen Perhaps her video was geared toward people who know how to cook and therefore she didn't see a need to slow it down. I thought the video and recipe were great!
I swear you all have the most basic recipes, and then you claim it as your own. I guess it must’ve been all of those years not learning how to do domestic housework, majority of you don’t know how to cook😂
@taniellaful I don’t understand why it’s necessary for you to make negative comments. Just don’t say anything. No one is forcing you to watch her videos nor did anyone ask for your feedback.
