Yeah, the music playing when Fifteen was readying his TARDIS was totally his theme. I didn’t think we’d hear it in this episode!!!
Yes, it's his theme, it screams Adventure! Loved it.
@@lykan2I didn't really like it when I heard it from the concert last month but seeing it in the episode and actually seeing it with this Doctor's vibe, they got it spot on!
The music as soon as he and David's Doctor pushed apart was his theme too. Anyone know when it's released? Doctor Who soundtrack never disappoints
By the way, the species who communicated with eyebrows were the Delphon, described amusingly by Jon Pertwee, the Third Doctor, in his first story, 'Spearhead from Space'.
I just happened to have watched Spearhead from Space for the first time a few weeks ago, I have to say I didn't see that coming
I definitely think it was the Master's soul that was picked up from the tooth, since the Toymaker's words were "The Master" and the scene where a feminine hand with red fingernails picking it up is a direct mirror to when that woman with red fingernails picked up the Master's ring, both having a menacing laugh playing behind it. Is it the same woman? Probably not. But the return of the Master is very possible and knowing the character, let's face it, pretty inevitable.
In places, it sounded like John Simm's laugh to me
@@FahadAyazIt was the laughs of several incarnations of the master layered on top of each other!
If a doctor ever deserved a happy ending, its David Tennants doctor! I´m so happy for him and it gives them the chance to have him pop up every time they feel its needed to have 2 Doctors in the story.
A lot of people say this episode was rushed. I think the reason for that was Bernard Cribbin’s passing and the production team had to scramble to edit the script. So a bunch of condensing happened
I thought it was brilliantly paced.
Ncuti got the undies and tie - which means David is 100% commando in those trousers :D
Lmao I love that idea 😂
And the shoes . 14 got the trousers, undershirt and vest, 15 got the shirt, tie, underwear and shoes.
"Does this work?" "I don't know!" And somehow that one exchange gave me confidence that Ncuti _will_ be The Doctor!
Do you know what I also love thinking about the 14th doctor visiting the companion support group and all the stories he can share, and since he still has a daughter, he can just take every single one of them on their own individual adventures and it’s canonized that the doctors been known to have not on TV so big finish could pick up the 14th doctor taking every single companion on their own individual adventure and audio form
I think what is implied with the Bi-Regeneration is the 15th Doctor that we saw coming out of the 14th Doctor is from a time after the encounter with the Toy Maker; he mentions to the 14th Doctor that he's from his future and that the therapy is happening out of order. The 15th Doctor is happy and at peace with himself because he has already lived the life as the 14th Doctor with the Nobles, being happy and getting things off his chest being able to open up to them. As for his prize, the "2nd" tardis is actually the current tardis but from the future and the whole whacking 14th's tardis with the mallet to "make another one" was actually him bringing the tardis which he was separated from to his past and into the Toy Realm. There is even clues that his tardis is a future tardis with his having a juke box added while 14's doesn't and his having the wheel chair ramp, implying the 14th Doctor adds the wheel chair ramp for Wilfred to have an easier time getting in and out of the tardis. My theory is the Bi-Regeneration is when the same Time Lord are in two different points in time but start to regenerate at the same time; 14th Doctor with the Nobles regenerates at the proper time, while the Toy Maker shot his past self causing him to regenerate at the incorrect time; so the 15th Doctor is pulled into his past and his regeneration energy triggered when he regenerates in the future heals his past self when Mel and Donna pull him out. The 15th Doctor is happy to see his past self, Donna and Mel and is happy and excited to play the Toy Maker's game and whips the ball at his past incarnation because he knows they won't lose; because he has already played the game when he was the 14th Doctor and won. That's my theory anyways and my own personal head canon to try and make sense of the Bi-Regeneration. I really liked that episode; I hope the Toy Maker and Neil Patrick Harris comes back in the future, and I am excited to see the 15th Doctor and his adventures
That's convoluted af.
@@TheDemonCaine Dr Who ladies and gents.
@@ReddCrystal There's never been anything this bad and with little explanation to the point fans are providing their own headcanon.
@@TheDemonCaine fans provide their headcanons for the nonsense and obscurity in this show frequently, from what I've seen. It's a time travel show, about a time lord with timey bullshit. A think that time lord duplicating through time to give himself a brief happy ending is not the most convoluted thing to happen in Dr. Who history.
@@ReddCrystal This dude's explanation was definitely convoluted. Especially when it wasn't explained and people are just making up what they think happened.
I think this showed the curators original since he is a future doctor who retired
Remember the Curator from the 50th anniversary, There’s alot of talk going around that David’s doctor will become the curator because remember the curator said he’d be revisiting a few old faces but only the old favorites
I loved it, we get 2 Doctors! We can keep the fan favourite Tennant in the Background (potentially becoming "The Curator" from the 50th) while going onto new adventures with Ncuti's, also it gives both Tate and Tennant the potential to team up with him in the future if he ever needs help.
I'm just so happy that 10/14 is at peace now, having a Family and Friends he can have a live with and Donna having her best friend back as well, along with her memories.
RTD says all the past doctors also now bi generated and are alive which I think is an unessacerry thing to say, Tennant being alive and probably becoming the Curator made more sense to me. But it will mean that at any time there could be episodes of further adventures of any Doctor.
That’s exactly it. They can now bring back any Doctor and explain their “aging” as part of them being part of a BiRegeneration.
@@boxinggospel5334bi-generated literally means he’s split in two lol. Bi means two, twice or double
@@Imgaezz indeed but he says all his regenerations also bi generated, so they are all out there now thereby changing the show retrospectively again. Good thing with that is tha McGann could do more episodes.
My theory for this bigeneration is that David’s 14th Doctor won’t regenerate. I’m pretty sure the regeneration ability is with Ncuti’s Doctor. At the end of his life 14 will just pass away a happy man who’s lived a full life
RTD kind of confirmed that in the audio commentary saying that all the doctors biregenerated throughout the timeline due to the Toymakers interference in all of it. So that how we will have “older looking” past Doctors in future episodes or specials .
even if he does, I suspect it will be long in the future hehe.
The Toymaker mentions one person who he wouldn't dare face. I think she is the one who picked up the master's tooth. The Duchess perhaps?
It was most likely Kate Stewart, because she also her red fingernails.
The Giggle was a crazy special for sure, but I really liked it. It was both Weird & Wonderful. 🃏❤ I loved Neil Patrick Harris as the Toymaker. Teared up a little seeing the Doctor so happy at the table scene. It was heartwarming to get a happy ending.
The table scene was so lovely 😊
Yes he said the master was in the tooth I think one of the masters minions picked up the tooth just like before
this episode really fits what river song said at the end of her journey, "Happy ever after" doesn't mean forever. It just means time." and tahts exactly what we got here even if he does end up regenerating into the 15th doctor he's given his happily ever after.
"She survives in her last second of life"
And you'll notice the puppet's last string wasn't cut. Nice touch.
Adric was the first companion to actually die on the show. Fifth Doctor companion.
Very traumatic episode for old Who.
The song played when ncuti is in his tardis is called fifteen
He's the President of the entire world in these situations
There was a trailer for the Christmas episode on the BBC, but not on Disney+. It's on UA-cam, it looks awesome.
Oh, NPH was fantastic in Unfortunate Events. You have to watch it.
Same I must watch it
The toymaker itself was a reference to barney stinson XD
In fact technically he could be him if we count with the lore of this episode XD
I love Donna Noble so much
Interestingly, after "The Split" the Closed Captioning identified Tennant's 14th Doctor as "Tenth Doctor" whenever he spoke while still atop the UNIT building.
Mel was the companion to the 6st and 7th doctors and did pop up in the support group
12:13 look up the clip "the Dr. defeats the toy maker." Beyond that BBC is going to release an animated version of that episode, although I'm not really cool with the designs. It looks very early 2000s reboot level designs.
Finally a TARDIS that K-9 can get into. 🙂
Thanks for the reaction!
No spoilers (for a story from 1982), but if you get the chance you can watch the Classic Who story "Earthshock" to find out what the story with Adric was.
I think the scientist picked up the Toymaker’s tooth/Master’s prison since the person who picked up the tooth had red nail polish on them! Since Kate, Melanie, and Donna didn’t pick it up, then it only leaves the scientist the only woman left to pick it up! I hope the Master doesn’t kill her!
Normally when he regenerates, all the old cells are destroyed to make room for the new ones. This time, the old cells refused to die so the new ones had to offset themselves
Ngl now im imagining Neil Patrick Harris as the master
They share only one set of clothes...
The original toymaker has 3 missing episodes only one thats left is part 4, there are animated parts you can find on youtube
Im sure when this doctor who charachter mentioned 'the master' he was talking about someone other than the master
I've spent a lot of time listening to Fifteen's theme, and there's hints of other themes in there, but it almost seems to be like a major/minor version of 11's theme, I am the Doctor, but instead of whimsical, it's scattered at times, focused at others.
I think the rani picked up the tooth
Blue yonda was not a bottle episode especially if you watch the behind the scenes
Reactor: “says the Toy Maker”
Me: FVCK HE KNOWS?! I'M OUT!
Also him: ...I don't know much about the toy maker...
Also me: Hold Up! Wait a minute! Finally!
I reckon 14 will become the Valyard...
The doctor has the right to authorities it,because hes tge president of earth 😅
I do wonder if David is going Commando after their bi generation?
I think the Bi generation could fix the Timeless Child arc. Think about it, if a future incarnation Bi generates and out comes the Doctor and a child version of the Doctor, then that child version can slip into a crack in time, and land in ancient Gallifrey. Thus the Doctor is Gallefrey and Gallifrey is the Doctor creating a close loop.
Nah, RTD said he wouldn't retcon Chibnall's story lines.
@@Pavel_M_Mihalik it's not retconing, it's giving the story an answer.
is it a good send of no....but in a great way :>
I find it hilarious that they pulled a black guy out of a white dude.
Very bi
You know you’d find out about your questions if you’d stop asking and just watch
Not true. They are the exact same age.
I'm sorry but I'm done with this show it's not entertaining anymore.
Bye, you’ll miss nothing if that’s your opinion!
@@fayesouthall6604 honestly I can't tell if your being backhanded with your comment or not but if not here's my response if you still think the show is still good and keep watching then good for you I'm glad your still finding some gold in the shit despite the lack of creativity, really cleaver dialogue, good characters and character development, fun banter between the doctor and his companions, stakes and actual consequences for either the doctor or companions when they make a choice be it good or bad, and finally when regeneration had a meaning behind it.
