1. I'm not sure nor am I told if I have a good voice but I am so fascinated by voice acting and I try to mimick the voice actors playing the characters and I have immense respect for them 2. I absolutely don't have a quiet place at my home
1. Anyone can do it, including you. The most important thing is taking the first step. 2. Then get out of your house. Maybe a friend’s house, or ask your family members to be quiet. If you can’t, wait for them to leave, and hang up blankets in your closet. Get the best quality you can.
"Do people keep telling you that you have an amazing voice?" I've been told that my voice is relaxing... Is it amazing? No, but I can fake it. 😄 I'm not a voice actor but I want to be. Here's my advice: Lean into the way your voice sounds. You can slightly modify your voice and avoid straining it at the same time. For me, I have somewhat of a mid-range or lowish voice. I can do some higher pitched voices, but it's much easier if I do a southern dialect. If you're a singer, then you probably already know your vocal range. I'm not an expert, but I have been doing voices since I was a kid.
My office currently has four furniture blankets, three blankets and about 5 big beach towels! Looks so janky but it is amazing how much it helps; there's a very obvious difference even when you enter the room without talking.
Yes they do telling me that line 😁 actually they let me do voice over for an advertisement, and I'm so happy about it. I am willing to do more records 🥰
If I would be honest, I do know how to sing.. And I kinda know my vocal range when I'm singing.. But it's a different matter when I'm talking. I always feel like I'm straining my voice every time I talk because people couldn't seem to hear or understand me. 😅 What to do? How can I know whether I'm straining my voice or it's actually relaxed and it's my real voice?
Guys I have a question the job voices offers is it online !!?? Like if I get an offer what would I do ? Should I just record from home and send the audios???
Absolutely! Digital content is still on the rise. From commercials, online ads, elearning content, audiobooks, and internal corporate jobs, we're seeing clients coming back and spending more year over year. Hope this helps! -Randy
People tell me that my voice is "cute & pretty" and I appreciate that! And I did actually try to voice act once, when someone asked me to record a few voicelines for an indie game... The only problem was that my foreign accent made most of the sentences hard to pronounce and thus they sounded kind of unnatural 😅...
Dear I'm gonna give a little audition for make my page on a voice actor's website so should i send them some of my different voices or only my real voice?
It’s crazy that no where in that was “taking acting classes and learn how to be an actor”. Step one take acting lessons. Learn how to do the craft and how the business of acting works. Step to take improve classes to sharpen your acting. Step three taking singing lessons. This allows you to know how your voice works, safety of voice, builds muscle, also helps you learn how to create different sounds (create characters).

Hi, from Chicago. I wld like to give audition fr background voice fr documentary films in English, is there any centre where I can go fr a trial directly?
Hey hi!.. I am a teenager, probably the one going to attend in college... For someone like me how don't know anything about voice over... Can we earn any money from voice over as side hustle?? Or do I need to train or learn.. something like that, specifically for this??
You can certainly do this as a side hustle. We have lots of talent on our site that do this part time. What you'll need is a really quiet place to record and a good quality microphone.
@@voicesI’m relieved to know that voice acting is a lot more easier than actual acting. At least I wouldn’t have to be on screen. And also, looks like you get to look at your script as a voice actor. Which is good! Unlike regular acting where you gotta have your lines memorized by the time the camera 🎥 rolls. So yeah
Hey! I really want to be a voice actor one day. Are there any tips you can give me for working on my voice? Ive seen warm ups but no ones ever actually told me what their purpose is, yes, I know its to warm up ones voice but i don't really understand it. I do cheerleading so my voice is never really "warmed up" it's just sore.I really want to work on things like, better quality, stronger voice so that every character i practice for doesn't have a soft voice, i really wish to improve and make voice acting my future full time job, it's been my dream for ever to voice in a children's cartoon or an anime, id be fine if i were in plays to be honest.(if that makes sense? I'm so sorry if i wasted anyone's time with this rant :)
I'd recommend checking out our sample scripts on our blog and practicing those in your recording space. You can also hook up with a coach at voices.com/coaches -Randy
How are you supposed to find work or where would you audition with no work history and no demo? Don't say P2P because you can't find work there with no demo.
I can't do the step one and two, due to my family don't think the equipment would be way too much, and in my house there is never silence. I live on a farm next to a street, we don't know true silence
You'll want a professional quality recording of your voice. It doesn't need music or additional production, but it needs to be really well recorded. This will help you stand out to clients. -Randy
AI voices are still quite far from replacing voice talent. What we're seeing is that AI will definitely take some of the lower-paying, fast turnaround projects -think of platform changes at an airport, or special weather statements, things like that. In our experience, clients who are looking to connect with their audiences are comfortable paying for a real person to tell their story.
Basically just like any tech company. Launching a new smartphone or laptop every year, claiming it to be their best product ever, when there is just 5-10% improvement.

Yes! The best time is right now!
@@voicesDoes one have to call a phone number in order to become a voice actor or what
So it definitely IS a lot easier than actual acting. I think I might be able to become a voice actor
But where do we find these people looking for auditions for new VO actors?
But the biggest question is WHERE do you connect with people hiring and without paying for a membership??????
Lmk if you ever figure it out
