Depends on which ones your wearing. Every brand has its cool shoes and stinkers. Cooked grass stained Nike air monarchs stained (uncool) > Cactus plant flea market nike vapormaxes (cool).
You’d still be bullied for wearing Asics if you were in Elementary school.. adult fashions trends don’t crossover into children
They still ugly they might be a trend for online fashionistas but irl you rockin dadcore it’s not a pop trend. Not to knock it if u fuck with it go for it

The heels track pant trend is part of a bigger trend of mixing casual with more formal. Like sambas and boxer shorts along with a silk button down

I'm taking a time off off all social media and your videos are helping me keeping up with fashion and overall just give me inspiration to dress better, change my style, etc. I find instagram and Tik Tok a rabbit hole, too much stuff at the same time, but chill UA-cam videos like this are my cup of tea.
Personally, someone who spends a lot of time working, it’s hard for me to keep up with fashion trends. I love Drew’s videos for keeping me up to date.

i am in the same boat. social media should be used as a tool. means to an end. i find pinterest and youtube do a better job of helping me find fashion inspiration than IG. I was also tryna make fashion friends on IG (i live close to nyc) and dat didn’t work out either

For an outfit you’re looking for the feeling of an outfit
The whole outfit has to be its own aesthetic, I’ve got 5 completely different outfits from head to toe watch to hat and they’re even adjusted depending on the weather and they don’t look trendy or like costumes because it’s about how fabrics and materials complement each other.

i’ve been lovinggggg heels, flats, loafers or any kind of more “feminine” foot wear with cargos, track pants, and jeans. it’s such a nice way to bring back that “feminine” feeling in a more “masculine” outfit.
So weird that the 90s brands are all coming back at the same time… like they must be all so happy lol..
I talked to my friend about the re-resurgence of the 90s (after the first wave around maybe 2017-ish?), and our conclusion was that the 90s are back again, again!
the 90s have been back for years, it's shifting to the 2000s now

Probably because all the 90s babies who were too young to follow trends back then now have jobs and money so they can buy the clothes they want 🤔
The track pants with heels does have a term: Track and Heel. I saw this trend back in the early 2010s at fast fashion stores like F21. It's been around for a while. The difference is social media isn't what it is now and sharing fashion styles wasn't as big as now. Not to mention, millennial trends had most youths in a choke hold.

In the UK we’re lazy, we just shorten track pants to ‘trackies’ and jogging bottoms to ‘joggers’, bit of British slang for you 🤠

Timbs in the fall/winter has ALWAYS been a NY staple , never went outta style & you’ll see more people wearing them when it’s colder , I promise you !
Susie Lola is like my gateway to the beat of London’s fashion. Glad you shouted her out! She also mentioned the whole Timbs making a comeback, which is something I’ve been noticing as well. Not into heels with the “trackies” but definitely into styling them with non athletic shoes, ie ballet flats or pointed toe flats. ❤ your videos! 🎉
I unsubbed to her a while back because she was (for me) promoting overconsumption with how many trends she would cycle though. I may have to go back to see how she's doing now because I do like her willingness to try risky/unique looks but I was definitely getting frustrated with her hating a trend one month and then buying into it and promoting it the next.

@@paygej8710 really hope I've never promoted overconsumption gosh that's really bad, I think I just like to mention a wide range of trends in these sort of similar videos so it can appeal to as many people as possible, plus if I ever had said something isn't my style and then a few weeks later I explain how now I like it...is that so bad? we as humans should be allowed to change our views on things :)

I really dislike uggs as a trend mainly due to the fact that they have always been house shoes. They lack any use outside of that intended purpose. The made in Australia ones are better but the main brand Uggs being sold as a fall/winter footwear option is crazy. They’re not supposed to be worn outside for long periods of time and can’t resist anything, be it water, dirt, or sidewalk debris. I understand the desire for “coziness” but boots and even heavier socks fit that niche so much better.
I agree. I always see girls walking around in super dirty uggs. I live in a city that gets a lot of snow, and that means a LOT of slush on the roads. Uggs get stained and gross so quickly.

Cuffification! There was a major trend of this in Japan in like the early late 1990s/2000s. I distinctly remember all these cool Japanese girls visiting Hawaii wearing them.

as someone from nyc, timbs have always been a staple. i been wearing my mamas short black timbs for years once she wanted new ones, and they are so comfortable and versatile, and I've always gotten compliments on them.
The belting shown by Helmut Lang in 98’ was top tier. Also no one pushed the men’s “office uniform” further into a weird and cool direction better than Helmut in my opinion.

When i moved to Boston from Mississippi in 2016 everyone and I mean EVERYONE had a pair of timbs. I bought a black hiking pair to get me through the winter and still have them. I left Boston after a year to move abroad but I’m not sure to what degree your impression of timbs making a comeback is just you moving to the northeast for the first time

when I lived in Japan this year I got exposed to how they wear timbs and fell in love. Americans wear them with skinny jeans showing the whole boot, but i found the japanese people wore them with baggy jeans only showing the bottom part of the boot. I think this gives a great silhouette and I need a pair soon

I waited so long for Hiking-style boots to come into Fashion and I'm glad they're sticking around, especially now that they're being blended with Sneakers. Awesome. D-rings all the way.

the thing that i kinda notice is that all these footwear trends have become a normal thing in the past in australia. hiking and outdoor boots have been common place and ascics is like the only shoe brand that exists here

honestly was surprised by the trackies with heels trend, never seen it out and never see it online until now 😭 also yes the cardigan hoodie is deffo getting popular, especially with girls in uk. another big trend for girls in uk rn is the jilet puffer coat on top of hoodies, I love it so much, even though I’m not sure if it’s for me, may have to invest in future..

Tracksuits in general 🔥 like I have been looking for a denim tracksuits or a matched top and bottoms. Pair it with some loafers oooooofff. Another thing is the tote bags, I know it is trendy but I am so happy to see leather ones these days.

My dad bought three pairs of Timberland boots at an outlet. They were on sale for a pretty good price and he always wanted to buy some, but they were too expensive here. One pair was for me and I’m satisfied with them. These shoes are more comfortable than I thought.

That kind of belts remind me of - with some distance - of the punk style. There were belts with all types of pockets and ring holes that complemented that style. Those you are showing are more sleek and put in a minimalist way in outfits.

the NB 610 is a shoe that fits in the hiking sneaker type of catagory which is pretty popular nowadays. I got me a pair and they are pretty comfy (NB shoes as a whole are pretty comfy) and thought they should be mentioned aswell.
I knew it, Japan is literally in the future when it comes to fashion. oversized/wide pants were popular like 2-3 years ago (they still are), and is only making its way in north america/europe now
I think the track pants -heels combo is a throwback from J-Lo’s Jenny From The Block during the 2000s
I've been rocking the same Uniqlo overshirt since 2020. I bought it when I was finishing 9th grade or so💀💀 I might upgrade it later tho but it's so fire I need a worthy replacement

I love my pair of Japanese selvedge jeans, and while I know it’s a thing to cuff them to show off the stitch ID, but I prefer them worn uncuffed. Well…it depends on the shoes I wear (as mentioned!). I might cuff them if I wore boots or chunkier shoes.
Funny how it's the 50th anniversary year of Timberland and it's iconic yellow boot; and coincidentally according to popular opinion it i's also the 50th anniversay of Hip Hop, the two seem to go hand in hand
