We loved experiencing another side of the Rocky Mountains that wasn't camping! Would you want to splurge on a stay at this famous hotel?

Super excited that my wife and I will be visiting Canada for the first time including Banff & Lake Louise in July 2025. Thanks so much sharing your experience.

If you're going to see most of it, leave yourself plenty of time. It is a big big place.

So great to see lake Louise. I just came through Banff but didn't have time to stop at the lakes, plus it was raining. You went when it was cold so good for you. Great color on that lake and I loved seeing the hotel. Thank you.

We wanted to go for our anniversary from Oct 15th to Oct 21st. We found out through research a lot closes in October. So, I was bummed about that. So, before we continue to plan- Do you think the views would be better during a different time of year? I am concerned there will be a lot of overcast blocking the mountains.

I think it would be better to go when the trails are open, boats are running, most roads are open, and it's not too cold. Unless you plan on staying in the hotel the whole time and not doing much else. I think the weather is up in the air but with the amount of time you're there, hopefully you get a variety. We got a mix of everything when we went over Canadian Thanksgiving, the last weekend when everything closes. So, that means going a week earlier than you're planning currently to. It's still a nice and good time to go!

Hey guys Would it be okay if i use some of your clips for an upcoming video project on the grand railway hotels of Canada. I’ll credit you appropriately on screen for everything. Thank you

Off-season, probably $300-$400 US. The hotel website would provide more accurate prices for the various room types.

We were trying to book 2 nights for our coming September Banff trip. Their website quoted close to $2000 CAD a night ($1400 USD).
