  • Pattack Falls | Scottish Highlands Photography.
During our weekend away in the Scottish Highlands we visited Pattack Falls. A superb place for waterfall photography. Probably an area that is overlooked for photographers but stunningly beautiful and made for a great few hours of photography. We explore different compositions and try to create long exposure photographs to share with you. We hope you enjoy the video Adele & Max

Hey up you two, what a cracking spot you found there. I can’t decide which images i like best as all are fantastic but i did prefer the lower falls. purely for the fact i loved the white water streaks that you could see and because you could see the width of the river that and the green trees against the black waters looked fabulous. Well done on another great video, can’t wait to see where your at next week. Adios 😁👋🏻

Hey Joy, yeah its a stunning little find and haven’t taken any images like these for quite a while so thought why not. Added bonus of remembering the wellies 😂 I preferred the images from lower down as well. As we got higher I didn’t feel I could get the shots I wanted and felt the perspective wasn’t quite right. I’m sure there’s loads more to explore from there though, maybe we’ll revisit in winter. Cheers Joy, very kind of you as always. Hope you are well. Take care Adele & Max 😊 Adios 👋🏻

Another great location you've found. Beautiful that water comes rushing through the gorge there. And the wide range of colors was amazing - black, orange, green, white, yellow! Wow! That waterfall reminds me of a famous waterfall we have here called Tahquamenon Falls, nicknamed Root Beer falls due to the color of the river - just like you had there. Looked like some tough compositions though but you did well to get some fantastic images, especially facing away from the falls at 4:22 from the higher up position at 7:10. Great video as always ladies, we really enjoyed it! Hope you both are doing well, have a great weekend over there!

Hey Paul, yeah it was a wonderful little place and so much going on with the colours although just a hint of the autumn colours I think they worked quite well together. I really enjoy waterfall photography and it’s been a while so thought we’d have a bash. Yeah there were little spots that you could get a viewpoint of the falls from but from very awkward places. The water was quite forceful and it was quite deep but am sure when it’s a little calmer there may be better compositions from lower down the falls. Glad you enjoyed the video Paul and thanks so much for your kind comment. Hope you guys are well take care and have a great weekend too 😊 Adele & Max

Excellent video and images as usual. We don't have big water falls and Autumn colours in Cornwall as.its too mild.

Hi Peter, thank you… glad you enjoyed the video. To be honest we missed the best of autumn this year with not being well. We wanted to get over to try and capture a few images with an autumnal feel before the winds blow all the leaves away. Hopefully next year for both of us then 😊 Thanks watching and taking the time to leave a lovely message. Take care and enjoy your week Adele & Max

Another gorgeous spot found, and shot nicely to do it justice. I liked the last shots of the gorge best starting at around 9:30.When you were agonising over whether to go wide or zoom in, did you consider a zoomed in Pano to enlarge the scene of interest but not the distractions? I also loved the view from the drone at the end (nice one Max). Do you take stills from the drone, I can't recall seeing any in the past. Keep shooting ladies, and I look forward to shots from here in other seasons - I saw Max's eyes light up at the mention of snow and ice 🙂.

Hi Mark, thank you. That weekend we’d headed to Glencoe but decided to come away and look for something a bit different to the usual. We were really pleased with how lovely this place was and probably quite over looked. Interesting…..I hadn’t considered a zoomed in pano Mark but I’ll maybe try that next time I’m struggling with the composition. The drone just adds another dimension and allowed us to see the waterfall from around the bend which was nice. Max has been taking a few images with the drone and we’ll be including them in future videos. Hahaha yes we love the snow and ice, hoping for some great wintry conditions this year. Cheers for watching Mark, take care and thanks again. Adele & Max 😊
