"hypnotically repetitive' Yeah, that pretty much explains it! "Saturaatio''s first 5 minutes 5/4 time signature is like that. I could listen to that over and over again

I really like "Malarian pelko", easily one of my favorites from 2015, but if you can't follow the lyrics (not just their meaning but also the way they are constructed from a poetic point-of-view) I doubt you'll get much out of the experience. The beats are good but not quite interesting enough sonically to stand on their own.
Joonas Puuppo Yep. The instrumentals of Tapa and Resnais, Beefheart & Aalto could stand on their own though (at least in my opinion). But I mostly agree with you.

There's actually some pretty cerebral stuff happening on that second track rhythmically. It's in 7/8 and the vibraphones (which I believe are actual vibes and not synthetic, from what I can tell) are in 3/4 and alternate between straight eighth notes and triplets.

The Black Queen - Fever Daydream
Title track is your least favourite? That track is the best one in the album.
The longest track is amazing (the end chrushes hard). I really prefer the second part of the album. the new Wormed and GADGET album are also something to look forward to.

I wonder if you liked Hail Spirit Noir's new album. It is similar to Pazuzu but more pop (?) and melodic (?). Sth like Syd Barett and David Bowie's take on black metal

Great review Anthony. Some more metal albums on the show would be great as I'v been looking for some decent metal for a while.
If you're interested, the track names translated to English would be "Saturation", "Gift", well.. uh.. "Vibrator" (Literal translation, it's probably not what it sounds like), "Hypnotized Prayer of Hate", "Left-hand Hierarchy", "Conifer Bone" (another one that's hard to translate), and "Awake Space".

That is probably correct too, the meaning is closer to "oscillator" but didn't come to think of it since the Finnish word for that is a loan word from English.
Mmm true, värähtelijä is more symbolic in this context and oskillaattori is different
