Homelessness is a *huge* issue in OKC. “Why” makes me proud to be from the same city as these guys. I’m glad local artists are not only speaking out, but getting some love for it. Thanks Fantano.
As someone who does mutual aid work with homeless folks and also works with them as research participants, "Why?" hit harder for me than anything else on this album. It captured the prevailing emotion of pretty much all of us doing this work so well. It's hard for me to work with people every day without just being overwhelmed with anger. I stopped being sad a long time ago.
@W.J.M Yes, there may be root causes to homelessness. However in this case if those root causes were brought up it would undermine the song’s message. Homelessness is a problem that can be solved regardless of the cause. So often the humanity is forgotten when talking about root causes and such conversations often stigmatize and alienate those who are suffering. We have the resources, we have the means.

"If we see someone who IS homeless, it is most definitely due to a personal or moral failing of some sort." - Melon
Damn...
Thank you Anthony. This band is amazing
Dude the song Anywhere is so good. STOP IT, STOP IT, STOOOP IT
Pamela was literally the first track I heard from them, and decided to buy the album.
Thanks for the awesome recommendation! You should try to get ahold of these guys for an interview!
I absolutely love the story that each song brings, especially The Mask. A beautiful album by a beautiful band.
That is one clean as fuck album cover
When you are listening to Pamela, imagine it is Bill Murray’s green keeper character from the movie caddy shack singing. Perfect
Carl Speckler singing Pamela…awesome!
Glad you picked up on the Godflesh here.

Chat Pile interview plss
This fantastic album has just about pushed Daughters out of my brain, finally. I love this damn thing. Pamela is my jam.
You know, as much as it pains me, I can't help thinking of parallels to Daughters LP, the YWGWYW. This is almost as harrowing and it's definitely as good, in my opinion
agree w this
with chat pile and street sects around I don't rly miss daughters anymore
It's a good replacement
Get over with it. People are complex. People who do bad things can make good music.
@@HeyIntegrity why do you care so much what other people choose not to listen to lmfao, it doesn't affect you
@@HeyIntegrity true. Not anymore they can't, though
Of course melon will love angry office worker music.
