Great suggestion! Thank you. Yes, I will add them to the list. They certainly have some interesting challenges. There are also a number of varieties of each so if there is anything specific you were hoping for, please do let me know.
Oh thank you so much! 😍 I haven't seen your answer before, sorry, I had a lot of work ultimatly... Actually, I would love to learn how to make ethiopian opal. I have many other idea, for exemple lapis lazuli, turquoise, tiger eye, blue and purple labradorite, rainbow moonstone, ammolite and abalone, but I don't want to ask too much...😅😅
@@priscasarritzu3798 Lol, not too much! Well, if it's of any interest, I do have a long list of previous, semi precious and other related materials that I am hoping to work through however it's only a couple of weeks until Blender 4 gets it's full release so I am awaiting that as it will have some changes to nodes.
Great tutorials!!! I have a suggestion, I would like to figure out how to make a procedural textured plastic material like the old game consoles were made of. There was a bumpy material and kind of a crackly type texture as well.
i am currently making a logo with the bone procedural on it and it was going really well till I forgot that I had the render engine to EEVEE and when I changed it to CYCLES the item had white smudges all over. I thought it was a mistake I made so I bought the material just to be sure and its still coming out the same. I am not too sure what i did wrong but I love this material sm I will get to the bottom of it!!!!
The material is intended to be 'mottled' and this may show more prominently if the scale differs. You might like to try adjusting this in your scene shader set up to see if that makes a difference. Please also keep in mind this was made with v3 so if you're using a later version, the setup/output may have changed slightly. Thanks for purchasing the material and good luck with finding a solution.
Thanks for the compliment. I'm currently working my way through all shaders and creating new versions for v4. In the meantime, trying won't hurt anything.
Hello, thank you so much for your amazing tutorials! Can you show us how to do semi-precious stones like labradorite, amber or opal, for example?

I am so curious about it... Be sure that I will follow your work with great interest!😊

@@blenderbitesize Awesome will look for that tutorial! =]

Hey Man, I love this shader. Any idea how I should adjust the specular in 4.1?

is that some new Suzanne model, mine has bulged yes, yours has indented eye sockets
Yes, this is a Suzanne model. I adjusted the eyes to make it more skeleton like.
my geometry and pointiness node never gives me that edge effect on any materials I make, don't know why.
Hard to say as I don't know any of the other settings that you have set up in your scene and in Blender. Persevere, I'm sure you'll crack it.
thanks for the reply, the issue is that it only shows in render view, not material preview XD@@blenderbitesize
Strange! Like I say, difficult to diagnose as I don't know what other (of the many) settings you have enabled/disabled.
