Sarah, I know it gets discouraging because it seems like all you do is work on your home and it seems like you're spinning your wheels, but honey look around! Look how much you've done! You can't build a home overnight! Really.... that's about what you're doing. I think you're amazing!!!!! You're a ONE WOMAN TEAM! Not only that you take care of two children! Please don't get discouraged. Your tired. Take some time off. You probably just want to be done....I know! Sarah, give yourself a pat on the back. Your home looks amazing ! I like the color of the cabinets. I think like your husband. I wouldn't put the hooks all the way down the hallway. I think it would be a bit much, but it's your home. Have a blessed day! 🤍🙏
I agree with you that for now the cabinet color seems off with the existing color (although i love the color itself) but painting the walls white could change that.😊
I love Fusion Bayberry. I have it on several pieces in my English Cottage home. I also owned a boutique furniture shop. Every piece of furniture I painted with bayberry sold almost immediately after I put them on the showroom floor. It’s just that populat.
What if: you were to hang some elegant wallpaper behind the washer/dryer? That might give your green cabinets the "wow factor" and pull the hallway and laundry areas together. BTW: love how the 2 contrast colors look!
You are my hero you do everything yourself. Just remember you’re only one person and you have a timeframe to work with. Don’t beat yourself up just keep going. It will get done eventually.
I’m in awe of what you are able to accomplish. Seriously. Just amazing. I’m so glad I saw this. My cabinet doors have the vinyl and it’s cracking so I didn’t know what to do with it. Thank you for sharing! I wouldn’t add anymore hooks.
I picked up a tip about painting wood that wood filler has been used on. Once you have sanded the surface, and before you paint, spray the surface with shellac. It will change the porosity of the wood filler allowing it to smooth out and accept the paint. Good luck, you’re doing great.
Home is looking lovely I agree with your husband hooks all way along hallway would be to much I like the colour of the cabinets but I would paint them same as your panelling hope I haven’t offended you your doing a wonderful job x
More power to you mama. You can only so much in a day. Everything looks beautiful. I learned something new today. Didn’t know the cabinets were vinyl wrapped. I agree wait till your walls are white. That other paint is pronounced( liken). Love both colors.
Sarah, I just wanted to to say, I am so PROUD of you !. Everything is looking amazing. You'll get there, girl. Can't wait to see how you decorate everything !. ❣❣❣
Oh my gosh what you did with your cabinets is amazing. You are amazing how much you are accomplishing!!! When you get a minute I hope you give yourself a major pat on the back. You are such a hard worker and so talented. You inspire me to keep working on my house. Thank you!
I really like the color of the cabinets. I do agree with your husband that hooks all the way down the hallway may be too much. They do look really nice by the bathroom door and perhaps on the other small wall, they would look good as well. 🙂
You have done a great job. You have a great eye for decor and design. Good for you. The fact that you have so many other daily life issues to deal with makes what you do even more amazing. Don't get discouraged. Count your many blessings and be encouraged. This too will pass. Keep on keeping on.
As stated in the previous comment I posted, I am a boutique furniture painter. When painting your wood surfaces that you have filled or spakled or otherwise manipulated always use Zinnser Clear shellac before you paint. Wait 24 hours before painting them. It will make your paint go on without different products showing through. It will also allow your paint go on smoother.
Looking great! I love the green cabinets. Idea for the fronts, you could find some nice wallpaper and put it on front of cabinets but leave the green trim. It would cover up the wood filler and also add some light so you don't find the green overwhelming
It’s looking so good, Sarah! I appreciate the fact that you are a stay at home mom to be with your boys, especially with your son’s autism. Your DIY skills are amazing!
Sarah you are doing an amazing job!!!So much hard work but it is so worth it girl!!!!So much motivation you have!!!You are a great wife and mother to do this to make your home pretty .When it's all done you will love it and take a huge sigh of relief!!😁❤👍
I love the green color and the hooks. Do you have any peel and stick paper, wall paper for middle of cupboards? Maybe some burlap...many possibilities..don't be discouraged. Take care.
Sarah - you are so talented! Please give yourself some grace. You first have the most important job in the world - a stay at home in particular to a child on the autism spectrum. I would imagine although I am not sure nit being in your shoes, but I would imagine it takes just so much energy. You are so artistic and I LOVE the cabinets and color. If the kitchen cabinets have the same shaker-style trim, you could always put bead board or 5mm plywood insert glued over the mdf. It certainly does add more cost and I know that could be a challenge.
Cabinets look great, but I would change the knobs. I painted my cabinets as well, but bought ceramic knobs from Amazon or Ebay. By the way, if you use chalk paint, you don't need to sand or prime. High quality chalk paint only reqires a clean, grease free surface - game changer 😁.
I’m so grateful I stumbled upon your channel 😊you are and so inspiring and very helpful. I love all your work that you do. Thank you for taking the time to film these projects for us for our enjoyment and for our motivation. Also, just a thought I do love the green that you did paint on the cabinets but if you’re not happy with the color, what if you mix both of the greens you have and if you do that make sure you mix enough so you could touch it up or do a second coat You can just add a little bit of the darker green to the lighter green and till you get the color you really like Have a wonderful day God bless
I love the color on the cabinets!!. It makes everything pop. I also agree with your husband. I would look into if you can put a little louver door over the furnace area and paint it the same color as the wall. It would make it blend it in, but first do some research. Great Job, can't wait to see it all done!!
I love the color on cabnets. And I think your husband is right. Your hall is narrow. And you want to keep in mind carrying things in arms could be a bumper. Mirror might look good to give allusion of width?
Sarah, your hardworking to paying off. It looks so good!!! I love the green color, really nice. For your furnace, what about sliding barn door look? Hope all is well, see u in the next one😊😊
Hi Sarah, fellow Canadian here. Love your channel. Love your style. You are doing amazing with your home. I'm just making a suggestion here...I love the green you did on the cabinets. What about brass knobs to match the hooks? 🙂
You are doing a great job and I love the bayberry! Like you said, it’s just paint so you could always paint a door lichen (like-in) just to see how it will look with the white. I love all the colors you have chosen and the hooks as well. You are awesome! coxTXDeb

I love this ❤ so encouraging

Hanging a shef just behind the washer & dryer would make a great place to store baskets for lost socks or vintage wash items.
Great idea Thank you! ❤
If the door to your furnace comes off, I would spray paint it in a color similar to your wall so it blends 😀
It does! Great idea :)

You could on the cabinets use near boards on the inside and paint it it would
cover what you see where the wood filler is.

I like the color of the cabinets...of course I am not there in person. I think the hooks all down the hallway would be too much also.
Thank you!! ❤
My cabinets are vinyl wrapped. It’s peeling and it looks like pressed wood beneath. How should I prep them for paint?
I just used a shellac primer, I’m no professional though so hopefully what I did holds up 🤞🏻☺️
Ve the colour of the cabinets
❤
Why don’t you just get a door with slats to cover it?
Thank you for the Idea!
I agree with your husband. Too many hooks. Why???
I seen a photo on Pinterest that was my inspiration and I loved the way it looked! Thanks for watching! ❤
