Your tweezers don´t grip because they are dull. You can sharpen instead of replacing them, all tweezers get dull eventually. Not sure about where you do that in Canada but in many countries, the places that make keys usually also sharpen knives and tweezers, or you can sharpen them at home if you have a knife sharpening stone.
