If they had the portal appear, but cut off just as you entered it, it would be THE best intro in all of history.

It expands on what makes FH3's DLC good but adds some fresh air with the cross country events, added surface types and new track types. also, the game lets you take a C class MX5 to 245 MPH using the new air booster things, so it's full of light-hearted silliness too
edit: also, an underrated thing is how SMOOTH all of the crazy spirals are. I have not driven a road yet that I've not at least liked a little due to the way it flows.

5:54 This part when going 300mph and with the whole HUD shaking was really cool. More racing games need to do this, it enhances the sense of speed a lot

Ironic considering the theme of HotWheels is suited to 6 year olds.
they go overboard with the cheesy voice acting, it's really bad. and let's be honest it's mostly adults playing racing games, we don't need an over excited Mexican guy yelling about how cool flying is every 2 minutes. I'm sick of all this SJW bs in my games.

the new intro is just stunning with the visuals but the tracks look very empty. If there was as many cars on the track with the player as horizon 3 it could have been the coolest intro yet

I actually miss the setting of FH3 a lot. Even the aussie commentary is great lol. Might have to get it again as it still looks great too. I miss the skyscrapers and just the island vibe.
Not possible to repurchase it. I tried to get another copy. Best chance is to find a good used one.

@@BiIlDipperIy unfortunately fh3 was removed from the store along with all of its dlc back in september of 2020. it looks fantastic on the series x but unfortunately it’s capped at 30 fps.
I remember this, Forza horizon 5 hot wheels intro literally gave me chills
The new intro is just way better, with how it launches you into the sky to the hot wheels park from the main map.

the introduction of FH5 is very good even compared to fh3 but the DLC itself is not equal to FH3 that you are entertained for hours or months
The intro is great, but the content compared to its FH3 counterpart is lacking
Hell the Goliath feels a bit empty than in the previous version
It actually takes place in the skies which was really amazing the intro was bomb spectacular
And the whole map is beautifully stunning
I feel like the main way to improve FH5 hotwheels is to make the voice acting and lines more likes Horizon 1 2 and 3. Maybe in FH6 they'll finally bring back the more serious edge to things? I dunno, I might just be spewing nonsense and missing Warren.
FH3 intro was 100% more accurate to the Hot Wheels universe to me. Roads on contruction, catchy song, a lot of other cool cars racing with you, fucking dinosaurs and a ring of fire to finish it off.

Completely agree with you 100% I’m cringing throughout the whole video. Fh3 has good dialogue, but they’ve really taken a hit in terms of cringe.
@@thetophatishere the first 3 horizon games didn’t have this level of cringe to dialogue but 4 and 5 they upped the cringe to an 11.
@@Commander_Neyo I agree. I played Fh3 and never remember cringing. I never played 4 but I played 5 and the cringe levels in the dialogue would probably even make a 4 year old cringe. Its almost like they are doing it on purpose.

FH3 still killing it today IMO with the HW expansion. Better more exciting intro, more NPC’s around, lots more boosters, and the map had a city which makes it a lot cooler. The graphics though and the fact that FH5 has the map directly below is really cool though so it does truly feel like you’re in the sky. FH3 wins for intro and FH5 wins for the map size and the variety of things you can see!
FH3 will always be the best one. I don't think they can innovate that much. For me, japan is the only way to surpass FH3.

I remember when my parents got my siblings and I an Xbox series S for christmas and it came with like a code or something for the hot wheels track. It was AWESOME when we first played it. From that moment on, forza because our new favorite Xbox game! I personally like the FH3 hot wheels opening a little bit better than FH5
so the dialog got significantly worse but the gameplay and graphic have definitely improved

Is there a trick to tuning for handling ISAD? I remember in FH3 HWs the cars would just slide out constantly. Looking back I realize maybe camber might have helped with grip.
I did not really tune much but reduce your camber. Horizon physics dont like big camber.

Some more 2000s Hot Wheels cars would be nice. Like Slingshot, Crazy 8, Ballistik to name a few. Aside from that, this expansion was really fun.
1:37 I was watching someone play the DLC on an Xbox One X and the loading (which you cut out in post) for this bit is next to none. Seems like on the older consoles, all the loading is front-loaded wheras on PC (what I play on), there's at least 15-30 second of loading at this point.
I don't have loading issue on the PC at that moment.

I would have bought FH5 if I woudn't need to grind all over again (since I don't have much time for gaming anymore). I have FH3 with Hot Wheels expansion and like 10 milion credit with garage full of cars, the only thing I'm sad about is that I can't get Blizzard mountain, I wish I had a chance to buy it, it would make my FH3 collection perfect

I got this game in 2020 only to find out that the HotWheels expansion was not available. So now I have Forza Horizon 3 but I can't play this. This Hot Wheels map was the biggest reason I wanted to buy this game.

I feel like FH3 did better than in FH5 in a few elements for this DLC, although FH5 has snow, i like the FH3 map more since it's a little more realistic, has a T-Rex and even a few buildings, on a random island. (With that i meant i just don't like the map as much as FH3)

Man why the FUCK is there not a single skyscraper or highly populated area in horizon 5. Why does PGG think we enjoy driving around in the middle of nowhere 24/7?
Three different Biomes more than make up for the lack of skyscrapers or whatever shit your saying.
Both of you prove that one can't please everyone and that the selection bias exists. I also wished we would have a very civilized urban city including some high-end buildings such as skyscrapers. FH3 expansion relates to the real life much more, our toy tracks don't float in air. If you are not able to criticize without being biased, then don't do it at all. Otherwise it will throw your credibility on the topic out of the window.

Horizon 3's Hot Wheels DLC at least had regular roads along with the Hot Wheels tracks and you could explore every nook and cranny of the island, whereas this looks like it's almost exclusively Hot Wheels tracks. No city or offroading or anything like that. Now I'm even more sad I missed FH3's Hot Wheels DLC.
There is off-roading in FH5 Hotwheels. Plus theres more variety in the tracks pieces and offroad sections. But, I would still rather have FH3 Hotwheels.
I'm happy to report that the Hot Wheels expansion in FH5 have offroading zones and some offroad events. And FH3's Hot Wheels didn't had offroad events.
Well you can explore almost the entire map in the FH5 Hot Wheels Expansion, is really fun, give an opportunity, you wouldnt be disappointed.
You can go off the tracks and do some offroading in FH5s Hot Wheels DLC.

That would be “Nimble” by Urbandawn. It’s unreleased, so for the time being, FH5 is the only place you’ll be able to listen to it. Don’t know when or if it will be released, so this is something to look out for.
