But many men do try until he's shamed for desiring you. Over time he starts to question why he puts effort into the relationship when you won't even do the single thing he can't do for himself, and that you very well know makes him happy too. He feels trapped. Worse, men are socialized by none other than women, to be less emotionally involved. Otherwise, he'll be treated as a weak man and be taken advantage of before being friend-zoned. Just consider what your own mother advises your brother to be like in one way or another. And it becomes a sexless marriage...seeking affection elsewhere...separation...divorce...blamed squarely on "his cheating ways".

I’m not married but as a single woman who wishes I was I never truly understood the reason it seemed so difficult for a wife to want to have regular sex with their husband. But two interactions with wives recently opened my eyes. The one wife’s comment made it clear she just had no energy left after taking care of kids and house. She was plumb exhausted and the need for physical space after having kids touch you all day long whether you wanted it or not, I can see how needing to not be touched could be a thing. So from this view, is this the real reason when wives claim headaches and the like? If yes, then maybe make that clear and hubbies, take some time to get her not be so exhausted but either not adding to her load (put the laundry in the hamper instead of next to it, etc, or maybe you take some kid time too). And the other was a wife who straight up said “it’s hard to want to be intimate with him when that’s the only time he wants to spend with me and otherwise he makes it clear he doesn’t even want to hang out with me.” Makes sense. Eye opening for me but maybe a clue to others out there as well.
as a married woman I would say that both reasons are completely right. However, for me it is also about lack of diversity and time. I switch really slow, I need time to relax first, then I can think about sex, but work and children take all the time in fact and 2-3 hours before sleep is nothing to me, since we also have housework, hobbies, studies, etc

@AnubisRoca I do 90% of "home chores:" laundry, home cleaning, and so on. I do put the lid down, I don't put empty milk jugs back in the fridge. I don't use bottled water. But it doesn't matter. I used to think by doing all that it would make my wife happy, but recently discovered I can't make her happy; that is HER job. Her happiness is up to her. So I now do those things because they need doing. And I find ways to make myself happy.

When he's bombarded by those "it's all you think about", "it's so immature of you", etc, it gets to a point where he's seeking acceptance, warmth, and affection where he'll get it, mostly subconsciously.
He's seeking a woman who understands that men, as logic/practical/tangibles beings, find sex as tangible proof of affection (it certainly is therapeutic too). This is the same trait he's expressing when he showers you with physical gifts.
It takes a whole lot more to satisfy a woman's emotional needs, which can be draining over the years. But many men do try until he's shamed for desiring you. Over time he starts to question why he puts effort into the relationship when you won't even do the single thing he can't do for himself, and that you very well know makes him happy too. He feels trapped.
Worse, men are socialized by none other than women, to be less emotionally involved. Otherwise, he'll be treated as a weak man and be taken advantage of before being friend-zoned. Just consider what your own mother advises your brother to be like in one way or another.
And it becomes a sexless marriage...seeking affection elsewhere...separation...divorce...blamed squarely on "his cheating ways".

I’m not married but as a single woman who wishes I was I never truly understood the reason it seemed so difficult for a wife to want to have regular sex with their husband. But two interactions with wives recently opened my eyes. The one wife’s comment made it clear she just had no energy left after taking care of kids and house. She was plumb exhausted and the need for physical space after having kids touch you all day long whether you wanted it or not, I can see how needing to not be touched could be a thing. So from this view, is this the real reason when wives claim headaches and the like? If yes, then maybe make that clear and hubbies, take some time to get her not be so exhausted but either not adding to her load (put the laundry in the hamper instead of next to it, etc, or maybe you take some kid time too). And the other was a wife who straight up said “it’s hard to want to be intimate with him when that’s the only time he wants to spend with me and otherwise he makes it clear he doesn’t even want to hang out with me.” Makes sense.
Eye opening for me but maybe a clue to others out there as well.
as a married woman I would say that both reasons are completely right. However, for me it is also about lack of diversity and time. I switch really slow, I need time to relax first, then I can think about sex, but work and children take all the time in fact and 2-3 hours before sleep is nothing to me, since we also have housework, hobbies, studies, etc

About the 10th year, I was lucky to get laid once a month. It only got worse thereafter. What she lacked wasn't a skill issue, even though she had no idea of what she was doing in bed most of the time, it was an enthusiasm issue. Women are often selfish but then appreciate what they had once it's gone and regret but then ultimately never change based on deep Problems during childhood, or relationships with mum & dad / exes. Some people are just lazy (Men & women )
If men thought with an "I" before every excuse or reason to not do something, the WE and the family unit would not exists. Men biologically look at women as a mate who will produce healthy offspring and who is capable. Today many women are taught raising a family and having traditional roles somehow makes them sub servant or inferior. Career women with a trophy child are inferior mothers since other people are raising their child during the younger years. Going back to work later when the kids are older - no problem.
Social and cultural "Group" think I feel also affects women more negatively than real men who tend to not GAF about what the "Crowd" thinks or does.

Sure and I have invested a LOT of time in that area but while a Leopard can't change it's spots, if it's a lioness, then there is no need to change or try to change anything.
