The gap between Zeppelin and the Beatles is merely a shade’s difference, IMO! So they are one of 3 bands in all of Rock that stand out well above the crowd of other excellent bands! The 3rd? Great album! Ran out and brought it the day it came out as a 16 year old Zeppelin fanatic. Just subscribed. Heard about you from Michael Nolan. I agree that JCM’s channel and his doc on “In Through the Outdoor”was amazing. Definitely a masterpiece album. Like yourself I have all the deluxe box sets which I got when the came out a few years ago. Love that Coda poster you have! Cheers ✌️
Hello, Out On The Tiles !!! Love it !! Thanks for coming over from Michael's channel and subbing, he does great work. I think you have a couple of years on me but not much. I love this! Coda is very underrated. I’ve been thinking lately about doing an episode on this album but now I don’t know that I need to. You did a fantastic job with this. I’m like two years older than you but got into Zeppelin around same time. I remember a cousin playing In Through the Out Door for me when it came out and I just didn’t get it. But within two years they became my favorite band. The version of I Can’t Quit You Baby is smokin!! There’s not a bad song on here. Poor Tom gets stuck in your head for days. Those are some kick ass posters Vance! Frame those puppies!!
Hey Gary !!! Do your video on CODA love to hear about it and your thoughts. Great story about your cousin. I hope to get these framed I just need more wall space. Thanks for watching brother !!!!
You and I spoke about Coda on the phone about eight years ago. I think that we both know just how great this album really is. But then again. The band never released a song that we did not like. {smile} With that being said. You and I also know that 'Coda' is most likely to grab the number ten spot in any of the "Rating Led Zeppelin Albums" videos that are posted. >< I was going to do a 'Mighty Blimp Album Top Ten' video a few years back. But then I thought what's the point? I cannot possible rate these albums. They all deserve to be in the number one spot. Forty years gone. Doesn't seem possible Vance. I remember buying this the day it was released. You made some incredible points and facts. Also loved the high school story about you and your friends that were Zep heads with the jackets and all. I can definitely hear the excitement in your voice when you were talking about going to Flipside Records to grab a copy with your buddy Joe. That first listen. Wasn't it amazing? >< Hanging out and listening to that album brings back a lot of memories for me too. Even though I was stoked to hear unreleased tracks. Something new, etc... I think the only negative side of Coda was the real closure of the band. >< But it was nice to see Jimmy and Robert playing some tracks off it live. Really enjoyed this VK. Thanks for reminded me of the 40 year anniversary date. I would have never thought of it otherwise. Blimp brothers forever~ Rob/Boston
Blimp Brother !!! I feel the same and no way could I rank the albums it would take days. 1982 was a big year for us ZepHeds so many great memories back then. Yes but of course I wish the album was not made that would of meant Bonzo did not pass away and continued on. But so be it. Thanks for watching my friend we need to catch up soon cheers !!-VK
Hei, Vance! I've never been a fan of the whole CODA album but it has its moments. "We're Gonna Groove' is a damn good song! Nevertheless it's good to hear that some people appreciate this Zeppelin album too. 😎👍 40 years already... OMG, 😬 Jarkko / MyVinylBar
