Great episode - the tour was funny - Love Billy and Ray's colourful outfits - and Elsie's hair is AMAZING. Even Doris Day and Que Sera Sera get a mention - thanks to Hilda.
The Duke of Bedford, the Russel family ancestral home is just up the road from me. Woburn Abbey and Safari Park has generated quite the income for the family down the years.I've lived in Bedford for 37 years but I'm still a northern lad at heart and would rather sup a pint with the likes of the Corrie crowd than daintily sip a glass of fine claret in a rand home.
The question this episode raised is whether the Duke of Bedford was as posh as Annie Walker. Stan tapping the the Duke on the shoulder and asking him if there's a beer 'ouse in the place. 😄
So Billy has practically been an ever present from the start - 1st appearance only a few episodes in, Jan/Feb 1961, demobbed from national service in Hong Kong. He's packed his bags here, is he coming back?
Golden days of superb acting and great camera work,.. timeless 😊
Love these old episodes.....keep them coming Auntie, please. ❤️
Brilliant thank you auntie corrie..my fav era 70s..watching these brimg back memories of being an 11 year old again..❤
Does anyone know what happened to the thread that had over 3500 Corrie episodes on it
@@petervickers9534 if you find it let me know as I watch these all the time and some missing that I realy want to watch
Brilliant. Thank you.
Brilliant lines about discontent.
What a great scene between Deirdre and Elsie!
Len with egg on his silly face - love it 😂😂😂😂
7:08 David Holliday (The voice of 'Virgil Tracey' in the original series of "Thunderbirds") as Ena Sharples nephew.
Seeing as they kept the maiden name I can assume that Ena's brother emigrated to the US..?
First time I've seen Holliday appear on screen after many years watching the original Thunderbirds.
He looks as if he could be a character from Thunderbirds or Stingray!
Wow, never knew that !
"Ere Jack....is there a bar here" you know that is the Duke of Bedford
Alan Howard is a superb character
This is so well written and observed
I love it when they say, "edited!" :-) Thank you for sharing.
The visit to the Duke of Bedford's place was fantastic ❤❤❤. I love those little outings😊
Loving the incidental harpsichord music
Reminds me of the Addams family. 😂
Looking back the haircuts were shockers..Len reminds me of Harpo Marx..

I love the transition music
Ken said that he was going to fix up the cabin, but it turned out to look no different! 😂🤣
21:14 this is the young lady that spends the night at our house when I'm away😂😂😂😂
Rita's quip about Kendal Milne was priceless 🤣 😂 👌.
take it that its not a beauty spot ?
@@roderickscott7429 it was an upmarket department store in Manchester. Very swish.🥰
When are you going to add the rest of old early 1970s episodes? I prefer them much more than the latest offering on Tv.
Wow 1973 they really let there hair grow long especially the guys like Ray.
Ray Langton. The cocker spaniel years.....
Yes it was a horrible style. I remember well.
@@mikehudson8884 yeah same over here in America 🇺🇸 back than.
Bloody gorgeous. 💖
@@martinistakis1825 to each his own
Why are these episodes not in chronological order .....please ?
Wow 25:21 The Extended Theame tune. That's something you never hear now. The new theame tune is dreadful and cheap sounding.
@@ianhalsall-fox Agree with you, it lost if after Pat Pheonix left in my opinion.
Notice David Holliday, he was the voice of Virgil Tracy in Thunderbirds.
I was born a month later on June 17th.
You were born on a Sunday
Always paid with coppers them days loose change no notes no bank cards no mobile phone how times have changed

20.59. Does that come with a flake ?
Shocker haircuts.
Virgil Tracy plays tom schofield
Better than the 90s
Ken and Rita never did have a cafe at the cabin.
Rita did have a cafe at the kabin x
Diedre /ray are both scammers
By crikey - Ray is having a real bad hair day - pathetic
Ray n diedre want the moon with out chipping in with $$$
Reference to 1914!!
Imagine not seeing someone for nearly 60 years and noticing them straight away! And they call you by your maiden name.. that's got to hit deep!
