Man, this is fantastic! Those tom tom phrases remind me of Fates Warning times back in 90s. I absolutely dig those patterns and how smooth your playing is on them. The accents on the bell are always a pleasant surprise in the middle of everything else that's going on. It always keeps the audience guessing how is that possible when all the other instruments are mixed in. When I heard your drumming for the very first time in the 90s with Fates, I was immediately paying attention thinking "Wait a minute! This guy is completely unique, what's going on here?" and I've became and instant fan. Trial by Fire is awesome, great song performed by an 'A' team of incredible musicians. I'm buying the full album as soon as it's available. Thank you Mr. Zonder!
This highlights, what I feel is one of your signature drumming styles. The way your right hand orchestrates a groove over many different playing surfaces. While keeping the rest of the drums locked in, and staying in time. You’ve been doing this for years. But keep expanding and exploring the many possibilities. And you make it look easy. It’s a pleasure to watch.
always loved mark in fates, but never got to see him, live....i remember asking doug pinnick if mark was as "great as i think he is?, and doug said "no, he's better."
I saw Fates Warning on the “perfect symmetry” tour in a shit hole club In Pittsburgh Pa. There was nobody there and Fates warning killed it. It was 1989.

This is why I loved Fates,
This guy is a legend in prog drumming. Instantly recognizable based on his unique patterns.

Not a drummer. Not a musician, but I’ve always been a fan. A-Z sounds great! Wish the new band much success!
Always loved the Way Mark use the whole kit in his playing . The intricate variations on different parts of the songs. And man, that overall groove!
Nice!! Congratulations on the new band and it's sounding Amazing!!
