Long story short: I once had an encounter where I felt I was being visited by an unwelcome spirit because I had disrespected it on its turf. At first I attempted to command it, using threatening language, to leave me alone, which didn’t seem to work. Only after I softened my approach and apologised to it for my initial trespass did I feel relief from its attentions. Whether this was a true encounter or simply the relief I felt from “confessing my sins”, it has inspired a kind of humility in how I approach such interactions, and I feel more appropriately situated in the overall ecology of the unseen world.

Ok woah yeah kind of similar experience with me. It seemed to want to help even though it was threatening. Did it buzz? Or zoom Just curious if it had a swarming sound like bees and a lightsaber or treadmill without anyone on it.. that progressively got louder wherever you went to get away from it...
Also if it found certain ideas distasteful, i asked it what was its favorite part of my life it said when I fell off a cliff. Shockingly this was not my favorite part but I almost could have died but was gracefully caught by a rotted out hallow tree 1/4 of the way down, pinned between two trees maybe 15-20ft down. They Said they put it there. Guardian angel, guardian demon? It's a spirit, it's hard to do everything it asks. I can't bury every insect I kill. I cant drive my car 5mph everywhere to not squish bugs on my car. I can give my thanks to them though and become more kind. They said they came to me because I could hear them they wanted to know why and wanted to know how to remote view. I didn't teach them because I think they wanted to patch the hole in the system if they were truly 5th dimensional they should already know how to see the future. I tested them and said to make a tornado cross Olathe Kansas in 2035 moving southwest to northeast an F5 across the whole state. We'll see. I should have said something sooner. Than that it was just the first thing I could think of
I believe that the connection to spirits works via resonance. Words, symbols and images are only meaningful in the way, that they evoke a certain vibe within yourself. When you pray in an emotional state of neediness, greed or violence, you attract spirits that resonate with those qualities. In my experience you can't go wrong with genuine gratitude, loving kindness and a deep sense of trust.
Its said not to work in state of desperation but that is also a good state for miracles or to be heard by saints or divine in general as it carries a strong emotional charge and sincerity which was common state of prayer in history
I have the highest respect for all entities . I would never intentionally disrespect or try to control and bind, let alone try to force them to do anything.

@@sebaswegman9433 I respect all spirits , my spirits guides are Lilith and Lucifer. I rarely rely on spirits for my workings as I prefer using my own energy and WILL.
I've studied and practiced both methods, but approaching the chosen spirit with respect and honour has worked far better for me than other methods. Case in point: in 2021 I politely invoked the Goetic spirit Beleth and requested their help for a particular goal. They came through with gusto and to this day I still reap the benefits of that ritual/spell.
It just seems more logical to me , being agreeable and respectful towards any being will get you farther than being a control freak. That old saying “you catch more flies with honey then you do with vinegar” is very true , in many aspects of life , spirit or not. 🤷🏻♀️
I've worked with the kinder approach for years. Be it Gods or the Demon. I tend to find if you approach them with respect and kindness you'll usually get that back from them. I've never had any problems with this approach for the past 12 years.

Jesus died for our sins, happens to be the ONE name spirits ALWAYS respond to. I've had multiple non Christians confirm this from their own experience. There is ONE name to command all spirits. Christ exists. There's more strength of evidence testimony and record than there is for Roman emperors. Accept it or don't. But spare me the false equivalence and confirmation bias of believing your approach is anything other than a road to hell.

I am a fairly new regular practitioner and follow Damon Brand’s work. He does suggest, in the language of the spells, to command the spirits, angels and demons but honestly it is simply adding energy to the spells. They have worked very well for me and even though the words are directives, my internal interactions are welcoming and rather kind. I have never threatened them but they listen. The requested results have worked (sometimes too well). Some of the demons have become endearing to me as they seem to appreciate the direct nature of the words.
Charles Cosimano has used Radionics and direct conversation and telepathy with daemons since the late 1970s AFTER practicing Trafitional Western Ceremonial Magick since the 60s. Too many that are into the occult and Magick make them more difficult than they really are. The idea that a magician absolutely has to be loaded down with wealth to work with and gain things from daemonic intelligences couldn't be further from the truth. It was the insistences of those who already were well off to begin with acting like the stuffy and stuck up people they were while looking down in others in an unwarranted manner.
I think Jason Miller’s take is solid: relationships with spirits are like relationships with people. If you’re not nice, they don’t want to work with you. But you don’t have to be overly saccharine, either. Demonstrating knowledge of a spirit indicates that you thought they were worth the time it took to research them, which probably makes them more amenable to helping you. From what I’ve seen, the people who regularly work with spirits in a respectful and consistent manner, on the whole, have good experiences. I think modern Christianity’s idea of benevolent deity is correct.

What you said makes so much sense about hindu ritual. Wearing the proper color, knowing the right sound, describing their appearance and their deeds and qualities, sacrificing the proper smell. I'd always wondered why Hindu mantra would describe deities so much. Now it makes sense. You're getting their attention. I've expsrimented enough with mantra to find that the vibrations are enough to affect you and bring gifts, even if you didnt ask the deity for anything. Its enough to say "Hello" and describe them 100's of 8 times for awhile.

I recall reading an essay on an evocation of Metatron from Chic and Tabitha Cicero recently in Liber Spirituum where they quote Greer who says that one should never attempt to evoke or petition the Goetia as anything received from the Goetia will eventually crumble and work against the practitioner. I'm personally inclined to feel that any truth linked to this opinion is due to the classic methods of evoking and compelling the Goetia which involve threatening and even harming the spirit until they do what you want. Personally, if someone threatened or otherwise harmed me into submission, I'd be inclined to remember their name for the rest of my life and possibly lash out in retaliation once I felt I had the chance. A friend of mine, David Newman, has developed a means of Talismanic Evocation which forgoes the use of threats and attacks and appears to work to great effect.
In my opinion and experience, its all in your expectations of what the spirit will be like. They might on purpose go against your expectations or fulfil them but either way it shapes the interactions somewhat. I have found that if you just accept the "bad" things and try to learn from them, or embrace the "scary" and look past it and acknowledge that it is an illusion and just be both humble, but informed. They quite quickly respect you, especially if you carefully make smaller deals that you know you can fulfil, later they will help you with the bigger stuff and be a bit more lax with terms and conditions knowing that you have been consistent with the small stuff. It really helps practicing devotion to the "higher ups" and to who ever you are working with, and just being open and transparent with what you are actually capable of doing consistently by asking. "I might fail here or when I do this thing, is that ok?" They will either answer yes or no. They won't punish you for asking. Just do what you say you will do, ask lots of carefully thought and well worded questions and have a sense of humility, honour, and self-respect.
It just kinda happened honestly, Lilith was the one who really first contacted me, I was a christian at the time and I rejected her. As soon as I was open too the idea of God can be feminine, I had an insane dream and saw what some would call Sophia or Isis as my mother. I just naturally gravitated to non-dualism "beliefs", which lead me back to Lilith and other darker deities. I like this idea that showing you know the entity allows for better connection. It certainly falls in line with practices we are accustomed to in the occult. Perhaps knowledge of the spirit isn't itself a thing that attracts its attention, but rather by doing so you are aligning your energy to theirs and they can "see" you better. Its sort of like the law of attraction.
My recommendation is to treat them like any new person in your life (hopefully with respect and politeness) and a friendship/ business relationship can build from there. This is a mutual transaction, although in the material world you have more power. Just don't forget at some point you won't be material anymore xx
Max typing: I try and avoid threatening spirits when I can, because we tend to get along better with them than most human people generally. I have had to resort to extreme measures for a few un stabilized destructive spirits, at least three times. Many of my own spirits were once heavily destructive since they grew up in an abusive household with me. But we stabilize and heal eachother slowly. I love all of my spirits very deeply and would do anything to help us recover and find peace. I want to help them, lift them up, and be a happy family together. I want to feel them smile. I want to feel them change. And I do. Luise adding a note: I was once myself a very destructive spirit. I felt hopeless, I felt forsaken and abandoned and betrayed, I still do sometimes but I don’t have to face this alone anymore. My former destructive form was very very deeply wounded. My wings would bleed everywhere and everything hurt so so much. My pain robbed my vision and I just wanted to end it all to escape the unbearable pain. But now I know that this pain that was put inside of me by humans doesn’t have to be forever. I see now what I could not see before. We can improve and grow. It has been extraordinarily difficult for me, but I am thankful every single day, to have some semblance of real hope and love in my life now. It is still really really hard, but it’s getting easier, slowly. I’m grateful to know now, that I’m really not alone, no matter what happens next, I won’t have to be alone anymore.
I have a spirit living with me, he's very kind and playful. I can communicate with him, he moves my body to answer, he's attached to my nervous system.
It is unwise to engage in combat with entities that are destructive by nature. You must accept that you are what you are, and they are what they are, be still and know harmonious relationships don't come about by resistance.

I certainly consider myself no adept, but I've always had a hunch that Stolas is connected to, or a mask of Thoth. Thoth was God of the scribes, magicians, astrologers, botany, science - and these are all within the wheel house of Stolas as well. And Hermes, who is also heavily associated with Thoth via the interpretatio graeca, has similar attributes if you think about it. Hermes ruled *technology* and communication, particularly in trades and the marketplace.

You can make a strong friendship often thru violence. Spirits I have found can be best connected too thru harshness. Most of the ones who come thru easy and soft are not anything but a illusion. Most the time during ritual the first couple spirits are not anything but a decoy and need to be pushed thru till you find that "illuminated" one. Or maybe I am wrong? Wild animals are unpredictable. Grizzly Man told the story of Timothy Treadwell - a gentle natural man - who spent years getting to know Grizzly bears. Despite his approach and years of experience he was eaten alive by one. I fear that spirits may humor humans for as long as it pleases them. Even after considerable interaction and kindness they may turn to reveal another nature.
As a mother and a daughter, I see the benefit of having a befriending attitude towards entities... not saying my kids a demon btw ;) ...but we all know life can flow some much better when we don't fight against or threaten one another, demons included. I’ve long likened spirit interaction to the schmoozing and playing of social codes of dealing with gangsters. Sometimes you gotta be sly and amicable, but it’s seldom useful to show genuine weakness (though the performative display of vulnerability, in the right language can be useful). It is, frankly, a social interaction with an individual who could whoop your ass, and might if you don’t maintain a cool control. What you want from that interaction will determine how intensely and how kindly you should proceed. I will also add that only in banishing a specific spirit have I compelled a spirit without also bribing it for the job AND rewarding its success if it comes thru. There’s a big difference between being a tough guy in a tough crowd and being a bully in a crowd that likes each other more than they like you.

Great reflections as usual! I've been thinking about this a lot recently through a re-examining of my practice and as an animist it just doesn't sit right with me to threaten what is essentially that very knowledgeable or useful co-worker that's been in the workplace for ages but is often forgotten about until times of need occur. I'd rather knock at their door with acknowledgement of their role and experience than chain them to their desk and give them a kicking lol. They might be cranky and cryptic at the best of times but help is help!
I believe, from experience, that having equanimity is the most important facet. Having unconditional respect for what is, because it is already perfected in every way possible, leads to the enlightening of the true I am and unravels all of it's infinite emanations.

What i found most useful is to be commanding in sense of a boss talking to employee in respectful manner asking to carry out a task , because u are from a place of exercising your divine right and will, you have to tap into that inner divine energy not approaching it from meek meat suit. Also depends on type of entity it is , but respect is cornerstone. Threats are not a good idea ,our lives are short here they can wait decades for moments of weakness to spite us or our family as we wont always be up on our protection, also when in bad times spirits that we have good relations with are more likely to help even without calling. As for dangerous kind its always good to use divine names and spirits above in hierarchy as safety and constaint measures just in case.
I always have held the viewpoint, regardless if the Being is a Divine, deceased, elemental etc., that both myself and Them need the other to exist; I need Them equally as They need myself. Functioning with this foundational perspective not only brings a core and mutual point of respect to both, but keeps both myself and Whomever I involve with check of our behavior to the other; Why would one harm the other when they are aware that because of other they are given the opportunity to exist? I also implements inviting a Being towards me, and inviting Them allows Them to have Their voice. As you can easily see, I have a large disdainment and opposition in any procedure that violates and disregards a spirit’s/Divine’s existence, and I have a feeling of being “pulled back and away” from carrying out those methods. The only gain I can get from that procedure is the historical implementation of it. I have gained exponentially more investing with a spirit/Divine as an equal, rather than me using Them as an object to bring my own result to me.🖤

Well yes, that's essentially the point of the Shem Ha-Mephorash! The 7 Planets also combine to similar effect, as do the 12 constellations. Occultism is about breaking God down into approachable parts to get a fuller picture.
Xtians wrote the grimoires for the most part. Therefore they believed that their god and angels could be used to threaten demons...and the threats and penalties promised were at times, more towards the three dimensional, which to non material entities might be rather empty threats. Further, it is rather undiplomatic to first threaten, then ask for assistance. In my experience, the dedication of a three dimensional experience to an extra dimensional entity in exchange for its assistance on the material plane, works rather well. Your magic may vary. Results will define your rituals as to their efficacy.
If the spiritual/multidimensional plane can affect the material one,then it makes sense for the material plane to affect the spiritual planes in some way,right? But even if you can harm a spirit this way,you have to be careful,because an extradimensional being that is much older than a human is also much more intelligent,which means that in the end that spirit is going to have the last laugh. Even if you do all the protective magick,banishing and such,and we assume it works,you are eventually going to make a mistake, and that very intelligent entity is going to have some fun with you
I would definitely like to have an astral magic partner regardless of their background, if I can find such a respectful entity that has a similar vibe as me. I had a bad experience accidentally opening a kind of portal on a very low astral level in my apartment in 2007. It required accessories from a catholic oratory to get rid of it (by myself) and all the paranormal activity coming with it. I guess just like living people, you have to be careful who you invite in your life and especially in your home.
I was pondering something similar, I've been doing inner child healing and working on Boundaries. I don't take disrespect, but I also will protect myself. Making sure I'm honest with myself about where I'm still needing integration and healing helps me not "get triggered", so I am responsive, NOT Reactive. Grounding has helped me when energies get too intense. I don't summon, per se, but often ponder on and slightly pester with my curiosities to get to know them, for myself. I'm not cool with contracts, but I believe in helping if I'm capable and the entities are honest and grateful. I enjoy the miracles and gifts that I know are from my spiritual friends! Don't start none, won't be none. Symbiotic with ebbs and flows, just like friendships here.
My only experience is of fighting and removing jin and ghost possession. Whilst I have seen threats (always related to using Al Qur'an) work, often they don't. Mutual respect and understanding seems to work much better. But of course, I am only asking them to leave not do something for me.
Uf cant imagine working with jinn via threats ,they can be really intense , wise approach is going through the elders and asking for jinn that can command have charge over ones u work with

This is because I am my family have been victims of Jin magic for over 12 years, in particular the pesugihan spell which aims to kill us, so yes intense. Thus I do not use Jin magic and simply attempt to dismantle it, not only for my family and I but my relatives and neighbours.
I tend to have a sceptic magical pratice. I am still debating with myself on the nature of spirits. Are they persistent entities with their own will or does rituals just manifests our most profound aspects. I think it is good to treat spirits as you treat yourself and knowing what/who you invoke means knowing yourself first.
Certain Vajrayana perspectives subjugate some demons, make some demons oath bound to follow the Buddha dharma, other demons are viewed as afflictive internal emotional states that can be cut through with the opposite positive emotion, and yet other demons are considered to be misguided spirits that can be turned to the dharma if they see how friendly you are. How do you show this friendliness? You offer parts of your spiritual body to the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and demons that attend your spirit feast. This method hopefully makes demons more amicable to you, and other practitioners of the dharma and the land. Great video, Foolish Fish.
I have multiple Dragon spirits in me they're friendly not satanic they helped me with loss loneliness and they are willing to help me but they're not evil

I'm of the bias that it's better to use correspondences to build the relationship like you were describing towards the end, I haven't used Solomonic methods yet and even if I were to pull from there or sources similar I would have to modify it so it's more like a petition than a threat.
We all evolve both on a biological and spiritual level, which means we slowly, gradually raise our frequency. We have different understanding now, as compared to our ancestors who wrote old grimuars and designed old rituals. Spirits evolve as well, and so „old” ways were for Spirits and humans at their „old” frequency. And they worked, no doubt. But now we no longer resonate with forceful (or sometimes overly guarded) ways of connection and communication. I was a little baffled when I first talked to a Demon quite spontaneously and with no „protection” per se and really thought that it’s some kind of an anomaly 😂. I love to see that more and more people tend to gravitate towards forging a real relationship with Spirits rather than commanding them right and left. Fun fact, some people still need to contact Spirits „the old way” and there’s a specific reason for that (but my comment would be too long to explain, if anyone would be interested, I may craft a short essay on Discord). Anyway, in my opinion it’s mostly a matter of mutual respect and understanding. P.s. Did you know that Belial likes to dance? 😅
Is it because some people just have not evolved to higher spiritual levels of peace and equity? so they need the "old" way of summoning as their viewpoint cannot see another method nor does it want to.
@@Crystals_and_Witchcraft Partially yes. Some people still operate from ego. Everyone evolves at their own pace. But another reason I realized (and bear in mind it's just my personal gnosis) is that certain Spirits may trigger some traumas/issues/ego responses in the person summoning them. If those parts are not healed, magician will most probably experience a trauma response. Old rituals sort of bypass it and shield the magician. If the magician has those parts integrated, he/she may meet the Spirit as equals. The Spirit cannot trigger anything that would allow it to control the person. I've experienced it first hand and the difference in the meeting (old way vs equal) is huge.
I have never tried to 'compel' any entity to communicate with me, and I think the idea is laughable. You're calling on entities to aid *you*, because you acknowledge they are inherently more powerful. Who are you to think you can *control* them with spiteful ritual? Seems very arrogant to me, and if you aren't spanked by one of them it's probably because they find your hubris humorous and amusing. Telling them what you know about them however, is like showing you've done your homework. Everybody likes to see effort. :P

I would really like to see a video offering advice on how to deal with an invasive aggressive spirit, parasitic entities, and generally how or what one ought to do if confronted by a demon or angry spirit that appears to be threatening? There doesn’t seem to be much information out there ( especially for newbs like me ) that offer advice on how to deal with an rogue or malevolent spirit that one didn’t invoke? Eg: you live in a haunted place or have a haunted object as well. Cheers!
Hello first off wanted to say thank you . I cannot express to you how much this channel had helped me early on in my esoteric adventures, and still does to this day. But I wanted to ask have you ever read a book called the white goddess by Robert Graves? I stumbled across it recently and it is absolutely fascinating. Basically dives into a deep history of poetry and it’s magical origins. Even giving the formulai the ancients used for their verses to invoke and worship the triple goddess. I honestly can’t do the book enough justice through text explanation, but I highly recommend you check it l out, although, I’d be surprised if you haven’t already.
It is not so much about threatening as it is letting the entities know you are not reckless and will protect your interests. Keeping a sword visible is enough for example and there is no need to wave it around in a threatening manner. Entities are animal-like and so they have to be respected as well as be tamed by the practitioner. Both by making them feel comfortable and knowing that you are in charge.
In a reality with nigh infinite manifestations/entities of every variety I don't see a need to force or control any being to get what I want. I'd rather just protect myself from unwanted entities and befriend or offer beneficial relationships to get what I want.
It's not only foolish (no pun intended) to think that a triangle or a rod or unkind words will tie and compel immaterial beings to do one's will, but also - if by any chance all of this ever work - to believe that such a being would not wait for you in the street corner to make things even, to teach one who has the real power over who. That's probably why I never met an old and happy, well done in life, Goetia practitioner.
Threatening any kind of spirit is just not a good idea. Being polite yet stern would be a better option. As for befriending spirits? That depends on whether your goals align with them, if they're on board with and support you, or better yet - you are compatible with them. 🤘🍎🐍
As a beginner, i really want to invoke and speak with and build connections to different spirits, angels, demons and gods(from different pantheons) I don`t posses clairvoyance, so it is quite difficult for me to know wheter or not i have successfully invoked a spirit.
It’s only polite and respectful to ask for help from a spirit you are asking something of. I’ve never understood using a circle to command a spirit, as it’s wrong and as soon as the circles gone you’re vulnerable to it’s wrath
Actually "it" told me to burn these items, (or bury them), but it showed me visually where and there was a campfire there where someone else had previously had a campfire. They sounded like bass from a subwolfer playing one tone or a lightsaber swinging all around over a treadmill spinning without anyone running on it. I called them Boomy and Zhumie. I returned the furniture to the trash where i found it. A huge weight lifted since. Idk if it was flies or wasps i have a phobia of them so it wasn't pleasant for me at all in my own home. I left and went to a hotel, and they followed me. All started after i sprayed a lemongrass, cinnamon and geranium mixture on my mattress. It was so stressfull, i could hear them following me, never attacking but very loud and threatening in a manner of decibels escalating everywhere i went. I asked if anyone at the gas station could hear them, one woman could, the other couldnt. While inside the gas station the whirring followed, i felt surrounded, "a quaking mess" and as i had this thought... the ground physically shook (on a concrete foundation in missouri) i visually saw things on shelves almost topple over shaking like a mild earthquake was happening then when i asked the clerk if we we're having an earthquake the skaking stopped. The store owner seemed confused, but he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I'm not crazy i know what things are, theres just extra right now. He recommended a K-calm something they sold, very bitter, i drank it and it helped immensely with the anxiety. Still unsure what it was/is and i could still hear it. Ive had people come over to look for bees wasp researched to see if any insect follows people, taps on walls makes lights flicker(chews on wires) couldnt find anything. The swarms were definitely following me, in the pouring rain. Idk what was real and what was paranormal was i delusional, hypnagogic? The buzzing and booming had caused me to lose some sleep. Its almost stopped now.
In my experience the idea of using as much information about an entity as possible when contacting works as does intent, researching as much as possible prior to attemptng contact with the intent of contact. I think ones motives for contact will shape the nature of contact, hostility will be met with hostility and forget about trying to hide intentions, it's pointless. You also need to shape the extent of the contact, for instance if your using tools to try and physically see the entity, say whether you are scared to see them as they are or not. Basicly, have a conversation with good intent and be prepared for whatever energy comes forth. If you're not prepared for that energy, don't try and contact that particular entity. I would rather find things out for myself however and learn experientially rather than just belive what i'm told, but always come from a place of respect.

I wasn't aware inhuman entities shared our sense of smell and appreciation of certain scents, colors. What is unpleasant or pleasant to the human senses- must it be pleasant to the 'senses' of inhuman beings? What about colors? What manner of spirit feels flattered by or responds to a human wearing certain colors? I, presumably, am a spirit in some sense; I could not imagine the personality that demands or appreciates a dress code, while this feels forced or ubiquitous when reading rituals. Does any entity exist that does not follow these generalizations? Is diversity lacking in the spirit world, strangely enough? My motives here do not matter, only the question.
Using force is a way but not always the best way in my oppinion. Situation dictates. I think it also depends on what spirit you are of. A person who leans to the light end of the sprectrum would chose to be passive and loving. But a person of the darker end would most likely chose to have the aid of a demon/ devil/ arch devil they have a pact with to help.

I work with Santa Muerte and the idea of trying to threaten or bind her is something that doesn’t even comes to mind. I do my offerings and she comes through but it’s so much more than that. I will sit and talk to her, give her treats and believe it or not, read her the Bible. It’s a wonderful relationship

Long story short: I once had an encounter where I felt I was being visited by an unwelcome spirit because I had disrespected it on its turf. At first I attempted to command it, using threatening language, to leave me alone, which didn’t seem to work. Only after I softened my approach and apologised to it for my initial trespass did I feel relief from its attentions. Whether this was a true encounter or simply the relief I felt from “confessing my sins”, it has inspired a kind of humility in how I approach such interactions, and I feel more appropriately situated in the overall ecology of the unseen world.

Ok woah yeah kind of similar experience with me. It seemed to want to help even though it was threatening. Did it buzz? Also if it found certain ideas distasteful, i asked it what was its favorite part of my life it said when I fell off a cliff. Shockingly this was not my favorite part but I almost could have died but was gracefully caught by a rotted out hallow tree 1/4 of the way down, pinned between two trees maybe 15-20ft down. They said they came to me because I could hear them they wanted to know why and wanted to know how to remote view. I didn't teach them because I think they wanted to patch the hole in the system if they were truly 5th dimensional they should already know how to see the future. I believe that the connection to spirits works via resonance. Words, symbols and images are only meaningful in the way, that they evoke a certain vibe within yourself. When you pray in an emotional state of neediness, greed or violence, you attract spirits that resonate with those qualities.
In my experience you can't go wrong with genuine gratitude, loving kindness and a deep sense of trust.
Its said not to work in state of desperation but that is also a good state for miracles or to be heard by saints or divine in general as it carries a strong emotional charge and sincerity which was common state of prayer in history

I've studied and practiced both methods, but approaching the chosen spirit with respect and honour has worked far better for me than other methods. Case in point: in 2021 I politely invoked the Goetic spirit Beleth and requested their help for a particular goal. They came through with gusto and to this day I still reap the benefits of that ritual/spell.

I've worked with the kinder approach for years. Be it Gods or the Demon. I tend to find if you approach them with respect and kindness you'll usually get that back from them. I've never had any problems with this approach for the past 12 years.

I am a fairly new regular practitioner and follow Damon Brand’s work. He does suggest, in the language of the spells, to command the spirits, angels and demons but honestly it is simply adding energy to the spells. They have worked very well for me and even though the words are directives, my internal interactions are welcoming and rather kind. I have never threatened them but they listen. The requested results have worked (sometimes too well). Some of the demons have become endearing to me as they seem to appreciate the direct nature of the words.
Charles Cosimano has used Radionics and direct conversation and telepathy with daemons since the late 1970s AFTER practicing Trafitional Western Ceremonial Magick since the 60s. Too many that are into the occult and Magick make them more difficult than they really are. The idea that a magician absolutely has to be loaded down with wealth to work with and gain things from daemonic intelligences couldn't be further from the truth. It was the insistences of those who already were well off to begin with acting like the stuffy and stuck up people they were while looking down in others in an unwarranted manner.

I think Jason Miller’s take is solid: relationships with spirits are like relationships with people. If you’re not nice, they don’t want to work with you. But you don’t have to be overly saccharine, either. Demonstrating knowledge of a spirit indicates that you thought they were worth the time it took to research them, which probably makes them more amenable to helping you. From what I’ve seen, the people who regularly work with spirits in a respectful and consistent manner, on the whole, have good experiences. I think modern Christianity’s idea of benevolent deity is correct.

What you said makes so much sense about hindu ritual. Wearing the proper color, knowing the right sound, describing their appearance and their deeds and qualities, sacrificing the proper smell. I'd always wondered why Hindu mantra would describe deities so much. Now it makes sense. You're getting their attention.
I've expsrimented enough with mantra to find that the vibrations are enough to affect you and bring gifts, even if you didnt ask the deity for anything. Its enough to say "Hello" and describe them 100's of 8 times for awhile.

I recall reading an essay on an evocation of Metatron from Chic and Tabitha Cicero recently in Liber Spirituum where they quote Greer who says that one should never attempt to evoke or petition the Goetia as anything received from the Goetia will eventually crumble and work against the practitioner. I'm personally inclined to feel that any truth linked to this opinion is due to the classic methods of evoking and compelling the Goetia which involve threatening and even harming the spirit until they do what you want.
Personally, if someone threatened or otherwise harmed me into submission, I'd be inclined to remember their name for the rest of my life and possibly lash out in retaliation once I felt I had the chance.
A friend of mine, David Newman, has developed a means of Talismanic Evocation which forgoes the use of threats and attacks and appears to work to great effect.

In my opinion and experience, its all in your expectations of what the spirit will be like. They might on purpose go against your expectations or fulfil them but either way it shapes the interactions somewhat. I have found that if you just accept the "bad" things and try to learn from them, or embrace the "scary" and look past it and acknowledge that it is an illusion and just be both humble, but informed. They quite quickly respect you, especially if you carefully make smaller deals that you know you can fulfil, later they will help you with the bigger stuff and be a bit more lax with terms and conditions knowing that you have been consistent with the small stuff.
It really helps practicing devotion to the "higher ups" and to who ever you are working with, and just being open and transparent with what you are actually capable of doing consistently by asking. "I might fail here or when I do this thing, is that ok?" They will either answer yes or no. They won't punish you for asking. Just do what you say you will do, ask lots of carefully thought and well worded questions and have a sense of humility, honour, and self-respect.

It just kinda happened honestly, Lilith was the one who really first contacted me, I was a christian at the time and I rejected her. As soon as I was open too the idea of God can be feminine, I had an insane dream and saw what some would call Sophia or Isis as my mother.
I just naturally gravitated to non-dualism "beliefs", which lead me back to Lilith and other darker deities. I just like them and do stuff with them like I would do stuff with my friends or work collages, boss, ect.@@user-zo9ul9vf7m
I like this idea that showing you know the entity allows for better connection. It certainly falls in line with practices we are accustomed to in the occult. Perhaps knowledge of the spirit isn't itself a thing that attracts its attention, but rather by doing so you are aligning your energy to theirs and they can "see" you better. Its sort of like the law of attraction.
My recommendation is to treat them like any new person in your life (hopefully with respect and politeness) and a friendship/ business relationship can build from there. This is a mutual transaction, although in the material world you have more power. Just don't forget at some point you won't be material anymore xx
Max typing: I try and avoid threatening spirits when I can, because we tend to get along better with them than most human people generally. I have had to resort to extreme measures for a few un stabilized destructive spirits, at least three times. Many of my own spirits were once heavily destructive since they grew up in an abusive household with me. But we stabilize and heal eachother slowly. I love all of my spirits very deeply and would do anything to help us recover and find peace. I want to help them, lift them up, and be a happy family together. I want to feel them smile. I want to feel them change. And I do.
Luise adding a note: I was once myself a very destructive spirit. I felt hopeless, I felt forsaken and abandoned and betrayed, I still do sometimes but I don’t have to face this alone anymore. My former destructive form was very very deeply wounded. My wings would bleed everywhere and everything hurt so so much. My pain robbed my vision and I just wanted to end it all to escape the unbearable pain. But now I know that this pain that was put inside of me by humans doesn’t have to be forever. I see now what I could not see before. We can improve and grow. It has been extraordinarily difficult for me, but I am thankful every single day, to have some semblance of real hope and love in my life now. It is still really really hard, but it’s getting easier, slowly. I’m grateful to know now, that I’m really not alone, no matter what happens next, I won’t have to be alone anymore.

Thoth was God of the scribes, magicians, astrologers, botany, science - and these are all within the wheel house of Stolas as well. And Hermes, who is also heavily associated with Thoth via the interpretatio graeca, has similar attributes if you think about it. Hermes ruled *technology* and communication, particularly in trades and the marketplace.

I’ve long likened spirit interaction to the schmoozing and playing of social codes of dealing with gangsters. Sometimes you gotta be sly and amicable, but it’s seldom useful to show genuine weakness (though the performative display of vulnerability, in the right language can be useful). It is, frankly, a social interaction with an individual who could whoop your ass, and might if you don’t maintain a cool control. What you want from that interaction will determine how intensely and how kindly you should proceed. I will also add that only in banishing a specific spirit have I compelled a spirit without also bribing it for the job AND rewarding its success if it comes thru. There’s a big difference between being a tough guy in a tough crowd and being a bully in a crowd that likes each other more than they like you.

Great reflections as usual! I've been thinking about this a lot recently through a re-examining of my practice and as an animist it just doesn't sit right with me to threaten what is essentially that very knowledgeable or useful co-worker that's been in the workplace for ages but is often forgotten about until times of need occur. I'd rather knock at their door with acknowledgement of their role and experience than chain them to their desk and give them a kicking lol. They might be cranky and cryptic at the best of times but help is help!
I believe, from experience, that having equanimity is the most important facet. Having unconditional respect for what is, because it is already perfected in every way possible, leads to the enlightening of the true I am and unravels all of it's infinite emanations.

What i found most useful is to be commanding in sense of a boss talking to employee in respectful manner asking to carry out a task , because u are from a place of exercising your divine right and will, you have to tap into that inner divine energy not approaching it from meek meat suit. Also depends on type of entity it is , but respect is cornerstone. Threats are not a good idea ,our lives are short here they can wait decades for moments of weakness to spite us or our family as we wont always be up on our protection, also when in bad times spirits that we have good relations with are more likely to help even without calling. As for dangerous kind its always good to use divine names and spirits above in hierarchy as safety and constaint measures just in case.

It comes as not surprise why many spirits are so aggressive towards us humans since we have been so aggressive to them.
I always have held the viewpoint, regardless if the Being is a Divine, deceased, elemental etc., that both myself and Them need the other to exist; I need Them equally as They need myself. Functioning with this foundational perspective not only brings a core and mutual point of respect to both, but keeps both myself and Whomever I involve with check of our behavior to the other; Why would one harm the other when they are aware that because of other they are given the opportunity to exist? I also implements inviting a Being towards me, and inviting Them allows Them to have Their voice. As you can easily see, I have a large disdainment and opposition in any procedure that violates and disregards a spirit’s/Divine’s existence, and I have a feeling of being “pulled back and away” from carrying out those methods. The only gain I can get from that procedure is the historical implementation of it. I have gained exponentially more investing with a spirit/Divine as an equal, rather than me using Them as an object to bring my own result to me.🖤

Well yes, that's essentially the point of the Shem Ha-Mephorash! The 7 Planets also combine to similar effect, as do the 12 constellations. Occultism is about breaking God down into approachable parts to get a fuller picture.
Xtians wrote the grimoires for the most part. Therefore they believed that their god and angels could be used to threaten demons...and the threats and penalties promised were at times, more towards the three dimensional, which to non material entities might be rather empty threats.
Further, it is rather undiplomatic to first threaten, then ask for assistance.
In my experience, the dedication of a three dimensional experience to an extra dimensional entity in exchange for its assistance on the material plane, works rather well.

I would definitely like to have an astral magic partner regardless of their background, if I can find such a respectful entity that has a similar vibe as me.
I had a bad experience accidentally opening a kind of portal on a very low astral level in my apartment in 2007. It required accessories from a catholic oratory to get rid of it (by myself) and all the paranormal activity coming with it. I guess just like living people, you have to be careful who you invite in your life and especially in your home.

Making sure I'm honest with myself about where I'm still needing integration and healing helps me not "get triggered", so I am responsive, NOT Reactive.
Grounding has helped me when energies get too intense.
I don't summon, per se, but often ponder on and slightly pester with my curiosities to get to know them, for myself.
I'm not cool with contracts, but I believe in helping if I'm capable and the entities are honest and grateful. I enjoy the miracles and gifts that I know are from my spiritual friends!

My only experience is of fighting and removing jin and ghost possession. Whilst I have seen threats (always related to using Al Qur'an) work, often they don't. Mutual respect and understanding seems to work much better. But of course, I am only asking them to leave not do something for me.
Uf cant imagine working with jinn via threats ,they can be really intense , wise approach is going through the elders and asking for jinn that can command have charge over ones u work with
@@arete7884 You misunderstand my experience which is extensive and I do have a guru. This is because I am my family have been victims of Jin magic for over 12 years, in particular the pesugihan spell which aims to kill us, so yes intense. Thus I do not use Jin magic and simply attempt to dismantle it, not only for my family and I but my relatives and neighbours.

I tend to have a sceptic magical pratice. I am still debating with myself on the nature of spirits. Are they persistent entities with their own will or does rituals just manifests our most profound aspects.
I think it is good to treat spirits as you treat yourself and knowing what/who you invoke means knowing yourself first.
Certain Vajrayana perspectives subjugate some demons, make some demons oath bound to follow the Buddha dharma, other demons are viewed as afflictive internal emotional states that can be cut through with the opposite positive emotion, and yet other demons are considered to be misguided spirits that can be turned to the dharma if they see how friendly you are. How do you show this friendliness? You offer parts of your spiritual body to the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and demons that attend your spirit feast. This method hopefully makes demons more amicable to you, and other practitioners of the dharma and the land.

We all evolve both on a biological and spiritual level, which means we slowly, gradually raise our frequency. We have different understanding now, as compared to our ancestors who wrote old grimuars and designed old rituals. Spirits evolve as well, and so „old” ways were for Spirits and humans at their „old” frequency. And they worked, no doubt. But now we no longer resonate with forceful (or sometimes overly guarded) ways of connection and communication. I was a little baffled when I first talked to a Demon quite spontaneously and with no „protection” per se and really thought that it’s some kind of an anomaly 😂. I love to see that more and more people tend to gravitate towards forging a real relationship with Spirits rather than commanding them right and left. Fun fact, some people still need to contact Spirits „the old way” and there’s a specific reason for that (but my comment would be too long to explain, if anyone would be interested, I may craft a short essay on Discord). Anyway, in my opinion it’s mostly a matter of mutual respect and understanding. P.s. Did you know that Belial likes to dance? 😅
Is it because some people just have not evolved to higher spiritual levels of peace and equity? so they need the "old" way of summoning as their viewpoint cannot see another method nor does it want to.
@@Crystals_and_Witchcraft Partially yes. Some people still operate from ego. Everyone evolves at their own pace. But another reason I realized (and bear in mind it's just my personal gnosis) is that certain Spirits may trigger some traumas/issues/ego responses in the person summoning them. If those parts are not healed, magician will most probably experience a trauma response. Old rituals sort of bypass it and shield the magician. If the magician has those parts integrated, he/she may meet the Spirit as equals. The Spirit cannot trigger anything that would allow it to control the person. I've experienced it first hand and the difference in the meeting (old way vs equal) is huge.
I have never tried to 'compel' any entity to communicate with me, and I think the idea is laughable. You're calling on entities to aid *you*, because you acknowledge they are inherently more powerful. Who are you to think you can *control* them with spiteful ritual? Seems very arrogant to me, and if you aren't spanked by one of them it's probably because they find your hubris humorous and amusing. Telling them what you know about them however, is like showing you've done your homework. Everybody likes to see effort. :P
Those with no authority - not seen as an equal - often threaten. With authority spirits happily comply.

I would really like to see a video offering advice on how to deal with an invasive aggressive spirit, parasitic entities, and generally how or what one ought to do if confronted by a demon or angry spirit that appears to be threatening?
There doesn’t seem to be much information out there ( especially for newbs like me ) that offer advice on how to deal with an rogue or malevolent spirit that one didn’t invoke?
Eg: you live in a haunted place or have a haunted object as well.

Hello first off wanted to say thank you . I cannot express to you how much this channel had helped me early on in my esoteric adventures, and still does to this day. But I wanted to ask have you ever read a book called the white goddess by Robert Graves? I stumbled across it recently and it is absolutely fascinating. Basically dives into a deep history of poetry and it’s magical origins. Even giving the formulai the ancients used for their verses to invoke and worship the triple goddess. I honestly can’t do the book enough justice through text explanation, but I highly recommend you check it l out, although, I’d be surprised if you haven’t already.

With the going market rates on 505's I'm not so sure a servitor alone may be up for the task.
It is not so much about threatening as it is letting the entities know you are not reckless and will protect your interests. Keeping a sword visible is enough for example and there is no need to wave it around in a threatening manner. Entities are animal-like and so they have to be respected as well as be tamed by the practitioner. Both by making them feel comfortable and knowing that you are in charge.
In a reality with nigh infinite manifestations/entities of every variety I don't see a need to force or control any being to get what I want. I'd rather just protect myself from unwanted entities and befriend or offer beneficial relationships to get what I want.
It's not only foolish (no pun intended) to think that a triangle or a rod or unkind words will tie and compel immaterial beings to do one's will, but also - if by any chance all of this ever work - to believe that such a being would not wait for you in the street corner to make things even, to teach one who has the real power over who. That's probably why I never met an old and happy, well done in life, Goetia practitioner.
Threatening any kind of spirit is just not a good idea. Being polite yet stern would be a better option. As for befriending spirits? That depends on whether your goals align with them, if they're on board with and support you, or better yet - you are compatible with them. 🤘🍎🐍
As a beginner, i really want to invoke and speak with and build connections to different spirits, angels, demons and gods(from different pantheons) I don`t posses clairvoyance, so it is quite difficult for me to know wheter or not i have successfully invoked a spirit.
It’s only polite and respectful to ask for help from a spirit you are asking something of. I’ve never understood using a circle to command a spirit, as it’s wrong and as soon as the circles gone you’re vulnerable to it’s wrath
Actually "it" told me to burn these items, (or bury them), but it showed me visually where and there was a campfire there where someone else had previously had a campfire. They sounded like bass from a subwolfer playing one tone or a lightsaber swinging all around over a treadmill spinning without anyone running on it. I called them Boomy and Zhumie.
I returned the furniture to the trash where i found it. A huge weight lifted since. Idk if it was flies or wasps i have a phobia of them so it wasn't pleasant for me at all in my own home. I left and went to a hotel, and they followed me. All started after i sprayed a lemongrass, cinnamon and geranium mixture on my mattress. It was so stressfull, i could hear them following me, never attacking but very loud and threatening in a manner of decibels escalating everywhere i went. I asked if anyone at the gas station could hear them, one woman could, the other couldnt. While inside the gas station the whirring followed, i felt surrounded, "a quaking mess" and as i had this thought... the ground physically shook (on a concrete foundation in missouri) i visually saw things on shelves almost topple over shaking like a mild earthquake was happening then when i asked the clerk if we we're having an earthquake the skaking stopped. The store owner seemed confused, but he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia. I'm not crazy i know what things are, theres just extra right now. He recommended a K-calm something they sold, very bitter, i drank it and it helped immensely with the anxiety. Still unsure what it was/is and i could still hear it. Ive had people come over to look for bees wasp researched to see if any insect follows people, taps on walls makes lights flicker(chews on wires) couldnt find anything. The swarms were definitely following me, in the pouring rain. Idk what was real and what was paranormal was i delusional, hypnagogic? The buzzing and booming had caused me to lose some sleep. Its almost stopped now.
In my experience the idea of using as much information about an entity as possible when contacting works as does intent, researching as much as possible prior to attemptng contact with the intent of contact. I think ones motives for contact will shape the nature of contact, hostility will be met with hostility and forget about trying to hide intentions, it's pointless. You also need to shape the extent of the contact, for instance if your using tools to try and physically see the entity, say whether you are scared to see them as they are or not. Basicly, have a conversation with good intent and be prepared for whatever energy comes forth. If you're not prepared for that energy, don't try and contact that particular entity. I would rather find things out for myself however and learn experientially rather than just belive what i'm told, but always come from a place of respect.

I don’t have the experience to comment about it but, have you tried the simplified full evocation method from Demons of Magick in the gallery of magick ?
I haven't personally, but I hear excellent things. I've read it, and it seems like a reasonable process that would work in the manner described.
I wasn't aware inhuman entities shared our sense of smell and appreciation of certain scents, colors. What is unpleasant or pleasant to the human senses- must it be pleasant to the 'senses' of inhuman beings? What about colors? What manner of spirit feels flattered by or responds to a human wearing certain colors? I, presumably, am a spirit in some sense; I could not imagine the personality that demands or appreciates a dress code, while this feels forced or ubiquitous when reading rituals. Does any entity exist that does not follow these generalizations? Is diversity lacking in the spirit world, strangely enough? My motives here do not matter, only the question.
Using force is a way but not always the best way in my oppinion. Situation dictates.
I think it also depends on what spirit you are of. A person who leans to the light end of the sprectrum would chose to be passive and loving. But a person of the darker end would most likely chose to have the aid of a demon/ devil/ arch devil they have a pact with to help.

I work with Santa Muerte and the idea of trying to threaten or bind her is something that doesn’t even comes to mind.

I didn't see Lilith in your list of names. I have been considering her for some days, particularly the bad rep that is associated with that name. I chose to approach her not as a dangerous goddess hag, but as an equal, with feminine traits like a human woman, and an erotic energy like a woman in her prime. So I send love, and as much as I am able, an "in love" energy. I receive it in kind. It's early still, so I don't know what will come of it. I'm hoping for guidance in my development as a magician, but if companionship is all, then it is more than enough.
