I am reading in "A treatise on Cosmic Fire" by Alice Bailey pg 466 about a group ritual that needs to be "accurately" perfomed that would probably start the process of women mating with angels, on a larger scale, as to further evoulution. I think it would be a Vishnu/Dino ritual because of the nature of what the initiation process produces, where do you think i would look for it if im impatiently curious? Mithra rituals? Egyptian magic rituals? Freemason rituals were mentioned. I know you don't do her time period but when I think you'll understand why i ask, when HPBlavotsky says she is, not being dogmatic about the processes of initation, does that mean that because people come from different backgrounds genetically, racially, that initation won't have the same processes? like if an person from japan was to do this ceremony to draw down an angel, would they go through different steps then say an mormon, or an arabic person, etc? Cats/dogs/octopus/ants/spiders all have different ratios or something for transmutation? I know we would only be working with those that are already spiritually inclined, but just wondering. And because some peoples havent produced fruit, like mormon, would it just be easier, or would it look like a differnt thing then say someone that is written in the bible that has? any clue where i would find that kind of knowledge? On page 487 are the ratios to the Deo sigil of Solomons, ($MILE) (so you can live as a gollum more comfortably and not tun windigo after initiation, or fail and fall from bet to just a Christ after fasting for 8 days and only eating two so you can write the book) mentioned in this video. Are you seeing any variation in the letters/words on the outside of the various copies of that sigil? Thank you Doctor Sledge for all your great content and scholastic work.
Im looking at the sigil right now, and I know that an angel represents a day when fasting, im wondering if it would be an hour or a mile if i was walking., the burning of the internal fires, are what we are trying to stoke for it to be counted as half an angel. Hmmm... It's a sun,,a day, so i wonder if its the amount of time daily, which doesn't account for intensity of work out. I'm sure of the first two ratios at least just not the units. fasting a whole day is easy to count, it just a turn. Never even, never odd.
maybe its E=MC squared? i need to experiment with units. everything is measured in light it puts out so we can grow a field. would primary source books have more light then secondary sources written by most people? probably. but what about evil peoples books, would they have less fire, or if they go from good to evil would their fire in their causal body chamge the rating of their books? or would stuff that they right from the point they turned evil forward have a lesser fire?
I have zero doubt in my mind that after all of that preparation, fasting, meditation, ceremony, props, and all around psychological priming that these people would absolutely have extremely vivid dreams/visions.
This reminds me of the Yom Kipper video where he talks about how the Chief Priest of the Jerusalem Temple had to fast and avoid sleep for an extended period to be pure enough to enter the Holy of Holies and offer a prayer to God who while burning incense.Which I guess made it easier to talk to god

The more we can fill in the manner, method, and motivations of the transmission of traditions the cleaner the image we'll be able to produce, so it's good to hear it's become a topic of interest.

As always, thank you so much for the content! I was wondering, have you ever considered doing a video on the Grecco-Roman concept of the Daemon/Tutelary/Genius? Considering the arguable essential component the concept plays in numerous Esoteric systems. I think most modern practitioners (and even some scholars) tend to associate the idea with the Christian conception of the demonic. A video on its history and later developments into the midevil period and renaissance could be very useful!
Or better practice it...oh wait ..its too hard to get up at 3am every morning...its true what they say...the weak will give up and never reach the mysteries 😂

The hardest medieval achievement to unlock. "You want me to say -what- during communion?" This video is a real... treasure. ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° I look forward to Dr. Puca's video. (I also think I need to watch "Inquisition Manuals - The Rise of Torture & How Magic Became Heresy" and then watch this a second time.)
Hey, Doc. Great video as always, but I've been wondering. Could you make a video about the "Book of saint Cipryan"? It very interesting as a rehash of many grimoires at the same time that is a proto Faust ( and proto Darth Vader on the redemption before death makes you a saint/force ghost no matter what you did before). It is a very popular/infamous grimoire in spanish and Portuguese speaking countries... and you know... has spells to find treasures.
Superb as always! I haven't studied this text, but I've heard about it for years...A number of things you mentioned here make me eager to see/hear Dr. Puca's take on it, as I wonder if things like the implied numerology of the text had an influence on Crowley, for example. Having worked with some asemic operations before, and having a general interest in voces magicae/"barbarous names," it was interesting to me to read through what you reproduced on-screen when referring to those portions of the text. I don't know if it was just my own odd vision (as in: my eyes don't function quite right) or something else, but as I was reading through them with the video paused, things went wonky for a second...and while I am more apt to ascribe this to my own ocular abnormalities, still, one wonders if this deliberate boggling of the senses might be not only the purpose of such practices, but also (when intensified by other practices like sleep deprivation or fasting) the beginnings of whatever altered sensual experiences were understood as the beatific visions instilled by the operation. Or, maybe not. But if it leads to treasure as an after-effect, hey, why not? ;)
It’s fun that an early/mid stage of inducing a beatific vision is asking the angels if you should proceed. That gives it a neat escape hatch in that if you don’t actually wind up having the vision, people can shrug and say, “Ehhhhh I guess you just didn’t listen to the angels.“ In any case, whether it’s 40 days or 72 days, this all seems like so much more worry and bother than a nice cup of shroom tea. 😁

Shalom ve Brachot Bro. Please tell me what superpowers have you acquired yet. Can you perform miracles? Thanks for a prompt answer. Blessings unto you and your dear ones.
Just found your channel and read the FAQ on your site. Have you ever tried to sincerely work something like the Enochian system? If so, did you achieve results? Seems wild to study all of this but never try it -- unless you just keep that stuff more tight to your chest.
Didn't think I'd hear much about the Catholics in this one. One of my favorite books is "The Name of the Rose", and it was interesting to hear the bit about the argument for living in poverty as Christ.
This video is absolutely Rock and ROLL, as your work normally is! Thank you, Dr. Sledge! I'm very much with the author of the Book of Honorius, at least on the issue of the Inquisition and the church hierarchy that inflicted it upon the world- those psychos were CERTAINLY in league with the forces of darkness, by whichever name you care to label them! I loved your remarks about the fact that Magic has, weirdly, despite all the persecution and demonization it has endured, actually won in the long run... I found that touching and inspiring in a way that surprised me. Anyway, I wish you all the best as always! May beatific visions happen for all who wish them, says I. --N
This was the first grimoire I read and a major influence on every aspect of my life! I read this book online when I was only 14 and it gave me new ways of thinking about my ongoing religious education and informed my choices in the art I experienced and resultingly made. I am probably following this channel today (as well as being where I am generally) because I read this book. I am so excited to see you finally cover it! Thank you so much, Justin!
I'd tell you the name of my favorite band, but you've probably never heard of them. They're a death metal/goa trance fusion band called The Clerical Necromantic Underground. The bass drops will knock you dead, then the guitar solos will resurrect you.
I reminded so heavily of pratchett's (Discworld) Ritual of AshkEnte, to summon and ask questions answered be death. The standard form of which requires 8 high ranking wizards, however there are progressively easier versions, one off which involves a fresh egg. It is noted Death does not enjoy this. Neither does Susan.
Speaking of Buckland, if anyone's in the Cleveland area, there's a cute little one-room museum of his artifacts, pretty neat to see. Apparently it used to be in Greenwich Village, NYC and then New Orleans before ending up here somehow
Hi Dr. Justin, im applying to study undergrad in religious studies, any tips for a beginner like me? 2nd question- Any prelude type books i should read if i want to study the bible in an academic context? or should i just read the NOAB (as you recc'd before to me) cover to cover? or any preludes to the NOAB ig if theres one. Would like ur feedback
Thank you . Gosh , it's great to hear about Medieval Tic toc . As regards John Dee , who in communing with his Angel through his interpreter , Edward Kelly , who was the only one capable of interpreting the word of this angel .was told by this Angel that the said interpreter should be allowed to sleep with Dees' wife . I'm tired now .
I want to live in an alternate history where, instead of continually stripping out all the cool shit to be more competitive with Protestants and evangelicals, Catholicism doubled down on unapologetically doing ritual and magic with angels and saints and Mary.

Now I must let those Cockettes I’m friends with know the story. Thank you as always for your amazing work, Justin, and may Rumi sail with the Moon forever.
Angela's channel is wonderful, as is yours. Love both of your channels.
Your wisdom hits like a hammer, Dr. sledge.
Great video, thank you for this... Now if you'll excuse me I am off to make my magical whistle.
this channel deserves so many more views
“Fancy Pants”
Dr. Justin Sledge
The crossroad liminal space where academic brilliance meets slapstick. You go!
Those oaths of the 70+ magi in the 13th century led directly, centuries later, to the creation of this video and to my ears. So fascinating.
That was certainly myth
Cool, nonetheless.@@TheEsotericaChannel
Thank you, sir, for your precious opus. Big big love.
that really elaborate spell you described reminds me a lot about the Angel Communication... thing Jewish practitioners did
"Read the book for your own damn self" LOL! Your Awesome!
Or better practice it...oh wait ..its too hard to get up at 3am every morning...its true what they say...the weak will give up and never reach the mysteries 😂
oh yeah Moses was doing magic ,, he was in a magic competition .. and won
Dr. Sledge, you are so funny! My mom and I had some good laughs from this one.
D&D lore, seems to follow the occult classics more and more. You know Treasure is just one more bullet point in this connection.
I will wait (ref: fore due course, to
look upon The Divine - it's seems
enough that if HIS eyes upon the
sparrow 'i know' HE watches ME 🎶
That said, gratitude for
The Doctors expertise
Excellent. Your mention of Jewish ascent mysticism came precisely as I was thinking the same thought.
Of course we are all here for that damned treasure that not even the devil can find!
😂😂😂
This is one of your best videos yet
The hardest medieval achievement to unlock. "You want me to say -what- during communion?"
This video is a real... treasure. ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
I look forward to Dr. Puca's video. (I also think I need to watch "Inquisition Manuals - The Rise of Torture & How Magic Became Heresy" and then watch this a second time.)
Thanks!
Absolutely fascinating, as always 👏 👍 👌
Maybe, but it's very late for the channel.
The shirt is looking really good. Fascinating content. 🎉🎉
Thanks!
But if it leads to treasure as an after-effect, hey, why not? ;)
You are a treasure. And we didn't have to build an altar to conjure you. How awesome is that?
It’s fun that an early/mid stage of inducing a beatific vision is asking the angels if you should proceed. That gives it a neat escape hatch in that if you don’t actually wind up having the vision, people can shrug and say, “Ehhhhh I guess you just didn’t listen to the angels.“ In any case, whether it’s 40 days or 72 days, this all seems like so much more worry and bother than a nice cup of shroom tea. 😁
Thank you for and sharing your love of Academia. I love your channel. Late in life I know but I just earned a BA but the more I learn the more money I don’t have
This may be my favorite channel.
~Shalom Ha-Rav.~ 🙇🏻
I felt an internal unction to ask a question unto the master…if I may be so bold?
First and foremost, your channel, your content, and above all…your psyche/sál/soul are all one of a kind! Honest and forsooth.
It’s has, with all haste and velocity, become mine one and only for all things magical, occult, arcane, esoteric, mystical, etc.
All others do not hold a candle to the supermassive blue star that is Esoterica.
I am looking to know which foundational/rudimentary grimoires/books you might recommend unto someone looking to submerge within the abyssal, watery depths of thaumaturgy/wonder working/miracle working/practical magic? 🤔

Post script, if you happen to know of any elementary books concerning astrology and alchemy, I would be eternally grateful…
With unction, a self-dubbed acolyte of yours.
Good video. Good fan service for the practitioners of today, "winning the day" against the diabolic church.
I love how much of a loot goblin Justin is. I can just see the NG Thief he would play in D&D
You know I haven't played DND without dming in like 30 years
"That's called read the book for your own damn self." It must be on a t-shirt or hoodie. You caught me with that one. Almost spit up on my computer. Love your channel and very informative.
THANK YOU 4 sharing! ... and treasure. =)
How's this for a synchronicity event. Haven't seen ESOTERICA in my feed for months, and I just learned of this topic quite literally an hour ago, and twenty four minutes before the release of this video.
Subscribe and hit that notification bell. He has too many great videos to miss.
Really awesome stuff! This was an incredible relic that seems like it ought to have not made it to us but it has and that's swell.
"John 'you're welcome' Dee" 😂
I love your content. Every video finds me at the right time.
"Read the book for your own damn self" gah damn but I like it when you do it 😂
THIS CHANNEL IS THE BEST.
Absolutely ❤
That was wonderful. Thank you.
And treasure
So I’m not any kind of academic anything. I just find this stuff so fascinating. Thank you for sharing this on UA-cam. Very cool channel.
I’m going to change the names of everything and use this stuff in my dnd games
Shalom ve Brachot Bro. Please tell me what superpowers have you acquired yet. Can you perform miracles? Thanks for a prompt answer. Blessings unto you and your dear ones.
It is always a pleasure to tune in to your chanel
Just found your channel and read the FAQ on your site. Have you ever tried to sincerely work something like the Enochian system? If so, did you achieve results? Seems wild to study all of this but never try it -- unless you just keep that stuff more tight to your chest.
80s Action Magic Montage. I'm all for that!
"...and treasure." You s.o.b, I'm in!
Thank you!
Thank you for another great video!
I love how finding treasure would be an ongoing tease in some of these videos LOL
This! This IS treasure!
Hehe... The 80's-montage imagry had me laughing outloud! Sooo many steps...
I want to live in an alternate history where, instead of continually stripping out all the cool shit to be more competitive with Protestants and evangelicals, Catholicism doubled down on unapologetically doing ritual and magic with angels and saints and Mary.
That's kind of called The counter Reformation
