This story has frightened me all my life. It is time for me to face my fear. Thank you so much for posting this. I’ll be watching this once or twice or even three times then studying on my own too because I’m so determined to unlearn the toxic side of my fire & brimstone foundational misunderstanding of God’s character. I know He is a good, kind, merciful God. He should be respected and feared but not quite the way I was brought up to believe. I’m learning that it is okay for me not to understand His actions (His ways are above our ways), but I need to nourish my faith through bible study.
That is beautiful! I have had so many places in addition to this where I struggled in the same way… and the amazing thing is half the time I hadn’t even realized I had put the wrong slant on God. It has been like scales are coming off my eyes. I’m so thankful 💛
