You’re welcome , Katie, my gift was small token compared to the blessing you have been to me. Your teaching and the things you share via email are of eternal value. Thank you for your faithfulness in teaching us how to mine for the great treasures in scripture. You are a blessing ; May God bless you greatly 🙏🏻❤️
Another way to think of "here a little, there a little": We won't know everything there is to know all at once but as we mature and continue to study God's Word we will understand more and more.
@@leah_terry it’s true we will see more as we mature. I think though that some will take one verse of scripture and build a whole theology around it to their detriment and God is warning against it. The whole of that section in Isaiah is so powerful.
Katie, thanks for sharing! My pastor tells us from the pulpit to seek out the Word and to not take what even he says as pastor as the standard. He encourages us to study the passages that his sermons are about. I appreciate you doing the same! Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday! (Please continue to pray for us and our cancer journey. I'm still believing for a miracle!)❤
It's so easy to fact check nowadays with Google if we don't have resources like Strong's Concordance. What Resource books do you use? I also want to warn you that eventually age will cause you to not be able to read your current tiny handwriting.
Yes, it is currently easy to check things and to google search; but we have been warned this will not always be true!! And I think this will be happening pretty quickly so I’m preparing. As far as the writing, I turn 50 in a few months. I haven’t needed reading glasses yet. Many older than me people at my church have Bibles with very tiny print. I’m thinking it’s not always the case that we lose our vision. If it becomes an issue, I plan to rewrite notes with a larger print. 😊
Also, as far as the google search part of your comment and also hard cover resources… the act of gathering the info together into my Bible causes me to learn that themes are connected and that there is deeper meaning to what I might at one point have glossed over. I hope that helps clarify.
