Yes, absolutely make more of these videos. Even if the essence of how you use your own technique is missed, perhaps after seeing you accomplish it numerous times it'll begin to sink in! Ha
YES, more HOW TO videos. This is beautiful. I love how the lines look like veins in petals. Very cool. You make it look so EASY!!! I'm definitely going to do this. I've only tried making shapes with alcohol inks. And mostly, just circles!!! It would be nice to make flowers. Or anything more than circles! I guess leaves would be similar, just green. Your HOW TO videos are SUPER HELPFUL. it really teaches us techniques to actually USE!!! Very good video. Thank you for video. Austin,TX USA
I am finding the detail that you are describing what you are doing in and why extremely helpful to getting me started using alcohol inks so more videos like this please Randi. One of my early issues was in not even realising how much alcohol was needed and how far a little drop of ink can go. Learning some control of how the ink behaves is key to enjoying this medium for me. I also wish I had known enough to get the non-staining Nara paper rather than investing in Yupo which stains readily. I am now practicing my techniques on a large wall tile so I can clean it off and try again to avoid using so much expensive paper for practice.
I’m so happy you find it helpful 😊 Nara is really good, but good choice practicing on tiles. About the use of ink/alcohol, it’s really a common problem for newbies- I see this in every alcohol ink class I teach. Everyone uses way too much ink and not enough alcohol.
I absolutely love your technique with the ripples! Is this technique generally considered for smaller pieces since it helps to lift the paper for direction?
@@randihart5731 thank you sooo soo much for the fast response!! I watched your videos when I first learned inks and they helped me sooo soo much but took a break and it’s basically like I have to do my study all over. I’m currently practicing on an extra long piece of Nara paper that I cut from the giant roll so that I can have my cricut cut out the circles to go on the art boards but have been struggling with humidity issues in my home. So we shall see, might try to see about lifting it up! Thank you again! 🙏🏽💕
Your explanations are super helpful and understandable. Thank you for that. In which video do you explain a foot pedal for controlling air flow? Someone told me about it, but I can’t tell which video it is.
@@randihart5731 My friend just let me know she was mistaken and had confused you with another artist. Thanks for your quick reply. Keep up these really useful videos! Just subscribed.

Yes, this is very helpful.
Glad you liked it 😊
Sounds like your saying that you put brass in the ink can you explain what this is Just so gorgeous.... looks like butterfly wings butterfly 🦋
Yes I find it easier to mix ink, alcohol and brass together before putting on the paper when I make ripples 😊
Brass ink?
@@rhondawarner8750 piñata brass is a metallic alcohol ink from jacquard 👍
I love your videos
Thank you very much Lillian 😉
Love your how to videos. Please keep them coming. ❤️❤️ What do you think of airbrushing?
Thank you very much ❤️ I’ll make more. And don’t actually use an airbrush…. 😊😊
So helpful! Thank you so much 💕 did you put Alcohol in the cups with inks as well? Maybe To make the inks more flows? Also love the commentary 😁💕
Thank you very much 😊 yes I mix it with alcohol 👍
I absolutely love your technique with the ripples! Is this technique generally considered for smaller pieces since it helps to lift the paper for direction?
You can do this on bigger pieces but it may be easier to start with the smaller ones 😊👍just until you get the hang of the technique
@@randihart5731 thank you sooo soo much for the fast response!! You’re welcome ☺️ sounds like you’re keeping busy with the inks
(And yes humidity is awful with ink 🫣 )
Your explanations are super helpful and understandable. Thank you for that. In which video do you explain a foot pedal for controlling air flow? Someone told me about it, but I can’t tell which video it is.
You’re very welcome ☺️ I sadly can’t help you with that…. I don’t have a foot pedal…. I use a hairdryer 😊

@@valeriemccartney5039 no problem 😉 thanks for subscribing
Its stunning!!
I tried it but cant figure out, the portion of alcohol ink your ink! Can you help me?
Thanks in advance!
I don’t have a exact measure…. Sorry 😢 I test it out first before I start the actual painting and just add a bit more it it needs it 😊
I love your videos Randi. What setting are you using on your hair dryer for this technique?
Thank you 😊 I use the lowest setting with the cool air on - it’s not actually cold air, there is a bit of heat which I prefer.
CAN YOU SHOW HOW TO ADD A STEM IN THE FLOWER
Maybe next time 🤞
WHERE DO YOU GET THE GLASS TUBE WITH THE INK IN IT THXS
Do you mean the tube with alcohol?
It’s called a fine liner and I found it on Amazon 😊
Can I use hot air gun for this
Maybe, if it’s not too hot. Maybe do a little test first to see how the paper reacts and if the ink dries too fast.
Yes make more how tos

😃
What size of pipettes do you use?
Uhh I don’t really know the size…. But any size will do 👍
@@randihart5731 Thanks!
You’re welcome 😉
Are you using 91% or 99% Alcohol?
I use Navimer alcohol which is 96% 😊
Ma’am my hairdryer is so high ….ink is getting dry so fast …😢 what I do
Use more alcohol and keep the hairdryer further away 🫣👍
