It's so refreshing that the accused Andy stays calm & cool & doesn't indulge in a shouting/screaming match as the norm in these situations in this sort of sences in dramas.
Imagine marrying into wealth and have the audacity to act like everything belongs to you. She'd have gotten her ass beat walking around making demands like that.

@@johnnywoo8029 That old woman assaulted the young lady already, as the violence already commence so the police must intervene as the young lady is surrounded by two more strangers. Also, there are many witnesses of the attack with security cam as evidence the police will have no choice but to come to arrest her or other parties come to absolves the situation before the situation escalates.
The way Andy handled the situation with the wife is impressive. "I'm smart, you're stupid" concepts is always so intellectually stimulating to watch. Unlike most dramas in my country were shouting at each other with stupid random words even if they are less than a meter away to each other is the norm. I always call it "The Cavewomen" concept.
Same with my country too. The mainstream drama are so cliche and just full of shouting competitions. They say we should support our own media, but it's hard to do that when it does nothing but decrease your braincells 😅
Sounds like Philippine dramas 🤣 The stories are really good, but once the directors’ know that it’s popular, they lengthen the show and drag the plot. The beginning is usually the most riveting, the middle is just some back and forth between the protagonists and antagonists, then the ending will usually end with a car chase and someone being sent to the mental health clinic 🙄

@olga ahumada but being in a relationship requires connection and she has that with Bao Yifan. Those you mentioned won't matter if she doesn't feel something and see herself being with him. She and Bao Yifan have overflowing chemistry that goes beyond comfort and familiarity.
I feel she's lucky to have 2 protectors in Lao. TAN and Bao! She must have saved a country in her previous life.

What i don't understand is, if she wasn't gonna say outright that Mr Wei is her father but people keep saying that the late Mr Wei is her grandpa, then why not just claim to be Mr Wei's niece? Wouldn't that be easier?

Because they are really trying not to lie to authorities. The niece thing would be a lie. They're choosing their words carefully in case this goes to court
If they lie then the other lady can later sue them for it so they can't lie. But neither one of them want to admit their relations as Andy doesn't want her family (her late crazy mother and autistic brother) to be pulled in and have tabloids about them.
The father doesn't want people to know he had abandoned his sick wife and children.

Older Chinese dramas are so interesting, the female lead is so beautiful, and everyone looks different and unique. The contrast with the current plastic surgery look in most of C Drama and K dramas is a bit jarring, forgive my ignorance because I have only been watching recent Dramas and never been to those countries, but I have never seen this range of beauty, and unique features, beautiful jaw lines, high cheek bones... The men also look so masculine.
This female lead actress starred as Jackie Chan friend in the movie 'The Foreigner'.
I like her in Nirvana on fire .. she’s the kick ass general and princess …

It's quite a bit more technical and detail orientated then what I'm used to in a drama. It's fairly engrossing.
I don't understand this though...in the episode where Andy's grandfather was dying in the hospital, her father tried getting Andy to see her grandfather before he passed. But in this episode, the grandfather has died already. So did the hospital episode happen before this episode and did Andy know already that the grandfather left his estate to her? The stepmom had some nerve trying to strongarm Andy into taking a DNA test without even formally requesting it of her. That's so disrespectful and I'm glad Andy decided to no longer put up with it and agreed to take the DNA test on her own terms.
It would be wonderful if there were truly beautiful people like her in the world...
And I meant the beauty within.

They only want to make misunderstandings because they wanted to move the plot forward, but makes the storyline so unnecessary complicated just because they can. I have seen misunderstandings done better and more common sense than the terrible ones.
