Hi! I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I started with the beginner challenge about 2 weeks ago. Did the first 8 episodes twice and today the day 9. And today, I felt suddenly so much stronger! In almost all poses but most of all in plank and upward facing. It was such a great and happy feeling because there is something happening in my body. Again, thanks for your motivating videos and inspiring words on Instagram! 🙏🏼💗📿🌿✨
I love coming back to your beginner videos and experiencing how the practice has changed me in these basic poses. Its been wonderful and inspiring to me to see growth, even in these "simpler" poses over the last few months. Thanks for keeping these videos up on your channel!!
This felt so good! I have learned so much by completing this yoga challenge! Thank you, Kino! Looking forward to starting your Mindfulness challenge later today! (Just a few days behind! ☺️) 🙏🧘💗
Thank you for these videos! I started my yoga journey with this challenge a year ago, and I am so excited seeing my own progress! Your tutorials and tips are spot on and have really helped me nail these poses. Plus, this time around, I'm pregnant. Still fighting the first trimester fatigue, and these little flows are just perfect to get me off the couch. Sometimes I do your video and I'm done for the day; some times it's a little jump start and I'm able to push a little and do more. Thanks for helping me have a fit and active pregnancy!
Like the Tree Pose. I did learn that my feet slips a bit with what I was wearing. As always love the step by step warm up before getting to the pose. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for such a great lessons, only now im starting to do yoga mindfully and with pleasure. This new challenge of yours (and beachyogagrl) is my door to the world of Yoga!
Good video kino and good advice. Sometimes I try to hurry through the poses. I try to hurry the process. Then I come back to reality. This is my yoga journey, and everyone has to go through all these, and it is going to take time. I do have a question when balancing on one leg what are you gazing at. You control your breathing and gaze at a point. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. Thank you NAMASTE
nice session again! I'm a little slow at the moment (forgot to do my yoga yesterday...) but now I did it and as always, I feel so much better after doing it👍
Tree pose is definitely one of my favorites. I can NEVER stand still on two feet, but if I stand in tree, I guess my mind just has something to focus on. Tree is my comfortable resting position, haha
Hi Kino thank u so much for answering my earlier question about modifications for back injury & helping the hamstrings to open up gently. It is helping! My next question is about coming up from standing forward bend. Watching the videos it looks like you round up a bit from the back. In Anusara style people actually hinge from the hips and with a flat back go up to standing. From my Ashtanga practice I was never clear on the correct alignment for this style. Could you break down the process for me? The most helpful parts of your videos for me especially is your attention to detail when describing the alignment process for getting into poses. Namaste!
+Shelley Mermaid In the Ashtanga method we seek to support the back in forward bends with a conscious activation of the pelvic floor and the sucking in the lower belly. The hip joint is still the pivot point for the movement of the torso, but the emphasis is placed on the inner experience and supporting the forward bend with the pelvic floor.
kino! first of all, thank you very much for inspiring me into the practice! you're an amazing teacher! these videos have changed my life so much! I have one question though, am I supposed to do the practice once a day? twice?
Kino I have a question in regards to my feet in tree and other balancing poses. I try to keep my toes out and find my tripod in my feet. However my feet always kind of hurt or aches after coming out of these poses. Is this normal something that will go away over time with practice and as I build strength in my feet. Or is it more likely that I'm doing something incorrect my feet do feel very tense almost like my toes are pushing down really hard. Do you have any further advice of how to maintain the correct placement of my feet and how to make it more comfortable....if possible. Thank you!
Hi Kino any tips on keeping the foot in place? I can happily do below the knee. I can get my foot above the knee but cannot keep it in place. Would working on opening my hips or hip strength help? TIA, and still loving the challenge this month 💜
I always get cramps in the feet while doing the standing postures (yesterday and today as well)... is it normal or am I doing something wrong? Anyway, thank you for your sharing your love and enthusiasm with us, have a wonderful week ahead! ^_^
Hi kino I have so much trouble doing any pose that requires standing on one foot:( I get so frustrated with myself for falling over each time and loosing my balance. These poses in day 8 and 9 are the ones I especially struggle with. How can I get better at these?
+Roma S Don't fight or judge the struggle. Just remain equanimous as you work with your balance. Consistent practice over many years is the key. Meanwhile, what you can do is cultivate an attitude of peace and acceptance towards yourself.
Day 9 done ❤ Yesterday I redid the 8th excersice and did better, and was thinking a lot about it .. Today I did better, I lost balance much fewer times 🥰, but I died 😂❤
+Jeremy Moore Whoa, I am sorry to hear that you think I seem a little rushed. I am doing everything possible to slow down for beginners. I will take that into consideration.

+Anthea Douglas Press the foot into the inner thigh and then press the inner thigh into the foot to help it stay in place.
When I was a kid I would always stand in this pose while talking to someone, without knowing it was a yoga pose lol
I always get cramps in the feet while doing the standing postures (yesterday and today as well)... is it normal or am I doing something wrong? Anyway, thank you for your sharing your love and enthusiasm with us, have a wonderful week ahead! ^_^
+Mihaela Ionescu Avoid squeezing the toes and instead root down through the base of the big toe, the base of the little and the heels.
