- Hi there! During this quarantine it seems that all I have is time, so I spent the last month and a half working on this video :) I sewed a miniskirt and knit my very own patterned button-up cardigan. Hope you enjoy!

What a beautiful outfit! The parts you showed on the making of the cardigan were super helpful to me! I've never knitted a garment, but have always wanted to. You made it make so much sense. The fact that you are not super experienced, but made something so beautiful is very inspirational to me! Can you describe or link the yarn that you used? Your skirt is gorgeous, too! 😍
Love these DIY pieces. You say you don't know what you're doing but you nail it. Thanks for the pattern.
Hi if you wanna make the skirt a bit more professional a few tips would be to fold the bottom of the waistband before stitching it, so that it doesn't fray. Same for the hem, always roll it twice :). Or you can serge the edges with a serging foot, or an overlocker if you got one eventually! Those are few things you learn with experience and it makes the projects even more perfect! Also when making straps, make them the way you would fold bias tape. fold each side of the strap to the middle of the strap with an iron, than fold it again so that these too edges overlap and sew straight across, so that it makes a nice finish look that won't fray! But I think it doesn't show much here because of the fabric you used, I don't think it will fray a lot either. And overall the skirt looks really nice and clean! I'm just giving little additional tips it's not to talk down on you or being judgmental at all I hope you don't take it like this! :-) also: wow your knitting skills are impressive :o I don't know the first thing about knitting but you sure are nailing it

At first i was confused why you made those holes along all the edges, but when you folded them it allmade sense! Love how both pieces turned out ❤️

yeahhhhh...I'm gonna have to get into knitting. I need advice really? any recommendations on where to start? I am overwhelmed by the idea of understanding the stitches but I want to at least try and the idea that I could possibly make something like that really makes me want to give it a go.
Yeah you should totally give it a go! Just start small - I started practicing the basic stitches by watching tutorials and knitting small squares😂
