I’m rewatching the series and just finished “Richard in Stars Hollow” something about it made me want to watch this clip. 😭 which is bizarre cause he was driving Emily crazy, but throughout the series it was so evident how much she loved and adored him.
People can say what they want about Emily, but this video shows how fiercely loyal and devoted she was to Richard and how much they loved each other.
She sheds her rich snobbish ways shortly after Richard's death. It was awesome to see.

Not even the saddest because it's not the only one what A Year In The Life is about.
I loved that they gave the cast, and the audience, that event to grieve for Richard and Ed. And giving the special, singular casket moment to Kelly to grieve her on-screen husband was memorable too. Kelly/Ed and Emily/Richard had excellent chemistry.
I love that Ed and Kelly both won a Tony in the same year. And shortly before Ed died, he asked Kelly to see him. So sweet. ❤
Awww, I think when Lauren hugs Alexis and kisses her forehead, it was unscripted. I think their real-life emotions of addressing his real life passing, shone through.
There was a very similar scene in the pilot episode.

He was such an amazing actor!

Unluckily in real life, Richard wasn't the only one who died, Herrmann died as well which is a coincidence between fiction and reality.

Is the entire series of A Year In The Life completely melancholy in which the characters have no hope on all episodes. Which means the ending of this new series shows signs of no hope, no peace, and depression forever for the two of Lorelai and Rory?

This is such a beautiful scene in tribute to Richard but im a bit confused on something. In season 2 of GG, Emily said they had a family mausoleum where Richard did have a space, and there was also talk of having to have an "annex"if Lorelai got married. Im wondering why the writers changed it?

Nesta série Gilmore Girls se tinha uma pessoa legal, compreensiva e autêntica era o avô Richard. E que mais uma série a gente fica de luto na série e na vida real exemplo: ("Glee, Gilmore Girls, etc"). Esta série da Netflix vai deixar saudades. Eu adorei. A única coisa que eu não vou sentir muita saudades, porque meus ouvidos cansaram de ouvir pessoas falarem muito sem pausa que cansava mesmo os nossos ouvidos era a cozinheira gorda Suki, Lorelai mãe, Rory, etc e quase todos da série falavam sem parar. Louke era um grosso, e arrogante e não sabia se vestir. Lorelai falava muita leseira o tempo todo na série, a estudante Paris era um purgante (que menina insuportável de chata e faladeira), Salva-se Deen, Jesy sobrinho de Louky (que era um zero a esquerda diga-se de passagem ) e Logan. A amiga coreana, seu marido e a mãe eram doidos e falavam muito. Essa série deveria se chamar de "HOSPÍCIO" era chata, cômica mais vai deixar saudades. Emily a avó que criatura maravilhosa mas doente das idéias e imperativa mas também tendo como filha uma louca de pedra feito Lorelai e uma neta legal mas muito parecida com a mãe não poderia ser diferente.
No entendiste ni el 10% de lo que la Serie significaba. Y lo de que hablaban y hablaban, y muy rápido, era parte de los símbolos y significados.
