as a person from India, we have some cultivars like Wiagaon(which has 8%-10% Curcumin) and Lakadong (which can have 12% Curcumin) which have the highest curcuminoid contents, i guess, the minerals in the soil add to the polyphenols in the turmeric we grow. But the supplement industry only focuses on curcumin, whereas there are many related compounds that work synergistically to the one compound that has become the hype. The same goes for Ashwaganda.
