Young hot wife at that age...he was definitely living the good life haha. Thanks for this upload, seems like footage of the legendary AJ is pretty rare.

Arther Jones and Mike is not only HT training but also makes you very happy to train heavy with a short time in the gym , its feeling makes you happy and feel better when you are in the gym.

I’ve been training with the Arthur jones style for the past 2 months. I’ve never felt so solid in my life. It won’t make you the strongest person ever but it will fill your muscles up and make you better overall. If you can manage a good balance between his training and westside barbell, you will be a superior athlete.

The greatest piece of gym equipment ever invented was the lat pullover that the once gorgeous Terri was last on .Like all good shit , it’s now extinct

The Nautilus pullover machine was the first machine I fell in love with back in the 80's at the YMCA when I first started working out.

Three things I just learned: Meat Loaf was also a guest on this episode (hence the joke), Terry is actually spelled Terri, and she was about 19 years old here while Arthur was almost 56.

There was sometimes genius in Dave’s humor! But in moments like this it is obvious Dave didn’t know how to handle a man like Arthur and really became a total dick in his efforts to be funny!

I have always a loved Arthur Jones. I loved those machines in the 1970's. I planned to buy all of his machines. That never happened, but I have a Super Pullover machine. I am glad because I seldom see these in new gyms.. Come to think of it, I rarely any the Nautilus of those machines in newer gyms. The old ones will still be around for quite a while, but I think gyms want the newer. His wife was adorable . I understand that he would trade in time from time to pick a new 21 year old wife.

Jones later admitted he was wrong about the previous Low Back machine featured here ^ due to the fact the hips are not immobilized. Its amazing how pathetically underused the MED-X rehabilitation machines are today. Its cost literally pennies to fix approx. 80% of low back problems using MED-X compared to the billions of dollars wasted on neurosurgery that rarely provides a permanent solution. Then again many people get a big piece of the pie ($billions$) & they sandbag the MED-X machines since there's so little money to be made. Medical science advancements from outside the industry never get the credit they deserve.

@@markwinchester3005 yep 100%. That’s bc the gatekeepers to scientific and technological progress that actually benefits humanity are the scientists themselves. In many cases they are self interested crooks, that just want to remain seen as “experts”. You can’t be an expert if your paradigm is incorrect. Also doesn’t help that these inventions got a target from big pharma on your back.

Dave was trying to dig at Arthur saying what aren’t you in shape. If Dave was a real interviewer he would have researched the man and known he was quite jacked in his day. And probably even after the cancer surgery he would still display some muscle he was wearing a large shirt! But any knowledge of Arthur would know he had a very good physique for his time. Dave really was a bafoon for this interview displaying no genuine concern for who thug guy was or where he came from!

Arthur Jones was firstly a showman that liked generating hype.
And behind-the-head pulldowns... what an awful exercise. But people back then didn't know much better. This was the era of Pumping Iron and so on.

I've read many YT reviewers and some fitness experts like Dorian Yates who have used the lat pulldown and have said that it's the best lat exercise machine, period. I used it in the 1970s and am of the same opinion.

A couple things from some comments. First, people say the dinghy hot wife, sex gets old with a dingbat; also, she would give a middles aged man the time of day unless they have money, in entertainment or happened to look good, which baldy doesn't.
Second, great salesman only because of timing. Meaning it came out right at or a little before the exercise boom and athletes were on t.v. on a regular.
If it was 1900 he would not even have thought of this and the people wouldn't care because they were working hard, taking care of family and friends and going to temple. No time to workout.
    So relax please.
    God Bless.
P.S. He lied about the results and didn't care how many would get hurt, that's scummy!!
