Every time work send me from home in Scotland to do farm installs in Colorado, Texas, California etc I make sure to spend a weekend day going around Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Harbour Freight and any local tool stores I can find to get my hands on tools I can't get at home. I even take an extra hold bag to bring it all back!
being someone from the US, i spend hours walking around home depot looking at their tools. it’s cool to see someone not as familiar give their take on the store!
Not going to lie I’m soo jealous 😫. That is my dream to go to America and go to the tool shops and come home with an amazing tool haul 😅. You are in my eyes living the dream 👨🏻🔧👨🏻🔧
I wish the United States didn't ban the miter saw/table saw combination tool I seen it all the time on European UA-camrs and I want it so bud but American politicians made it illegal to buy an America I get how you feel
From the states. Love your videos and looking to get some shadowfoam soon for my Dewalt Toughsystem 2.0. Used a Ramset for a long time so seeing you think it was quirky was entertaining.
Great video!!! I was in the states last year, was going to buy the Milwaukee power tool kit (7 m18 tools with a few batteries) left it to a few days before leaving before going to get them and everyone home depot within a 20 mile radius in Florida was sold out!!! Gutted as they were a fraction of the price back home (and I’m a Milwaukee boy lol). New York next year though and already found a store near Central Park so hopefully I can finally get them and bring them back to Scotland 🤞
I've been following your channel for a little while now and I see that all the giveaways you do are always with interesting or different things from what we normally find, and all the tools you bring to the channel are really cool for tool lovers.
That plumbing multitool looks like it would be handy as a pruner! Leatherman used to make a couple of gardening multiool, and whilst out and about on dog walks I often use the wire cutters on my Leatherman to trim brambles.
Used to love going to Sears for Craftsman tools when visiting the States. Home Depot was my go to for Milwaukee & Ridgid. Lowes was slightly higher quality stuff and the top place I’ve been to is Menards. They are more common up north, you don’t find them in Florida for example.
Malco is the brand that most tinknockers use. (hvac duct) Mothers is a well known brand for car care products. Mostly waxes and finishers. Car guys really love their products. PAT tools (powder actuated tools) are used for difficult applications. They are quite quick to use. I used a High Velocity version for thick steel beams. 100 shots in the morning and 100 in the afternoon. 5 days a week. They use special nails. The swedge knife was made popular by Morakniv a swedish company. The carpet knife is a common ''suicide knife''. It's very easy to cut yourself in tight corners. Roberts makes the best carpet tools. They have a very large selection.
When I was travelling the world with work I’d always find time to visit the local hardware stores. Finland and Hungary had some very interesting products but in the USA the stores are a whole lot bigger.
I've got an old Black & Decker laser level. I must have had it 20 years at least. It has a plastic mounting plate that has a pin for plaster board and a magnetic bit for the level to click to. Very tidy and still working well.
I really like those cable clamps, don’t know who I got them from about 15 years ago but they still hold up and I use the smaller versions to manage all sorts of cable messes.
Great show as always. The heavy knife that has a chisel on the end is called a hacking knife. We’ve had them for many years in the U.K. The tool was mainly used for hacking out putty in window frames. I used to have one in my tools for getting into difficult places on rewires.
The Ryobi Laser level looks like a handy thing to have in the tool box. The Mega Cuffs also look quite useful as a way to keep wandering cables and hoses tidy. If you need help pushing the trolley around on your next trip to Home Depot etc. please feel free to give me a call!!
While in the USA in 2016 i purchased a set of imperial spanners from home depot, absolutely staggered by the choice, the spanners are being used on a Land Rover series 2 restoration project.
Love the Mega Cuffs, bought some on my last trip to US. I use them as temporary clamps when running cable, they act as a second (and third) pair of hands
Now that is a great idea. Always see people carrying keys on those retractable holder thing. Never thought about using it for a pencil. Always have to look through all my pockets to find my pencil whilst working. Will need to look around to see if I can find one of those in my town. Our hardware shops doesn't have rows upon rows of tools. Will have 1 row of tools and the rest of the shop is filled with wood, paint, electrical, plumbing and screws etc.
Milwaukee tools look so attractive in that shadow foam. This is my first video watched on this channel and now i am thinking of shadow foam for my tool box. Awesome bundle idea too.
I used to visit the US about every 6 weeks for work.. it was always a revelation to go into Home Depot or Lowes and do the "man-mooch" around the tool section. Not only quirky some of them but a lot cheaper. Anyone else checked in a bag a the airport with a brand new disassembled petrol chain saw in it !!!???
I cant stop myself from getting little items like this every time I go to Home depot or Lowes. On a material run ? stop by the tool section and always end up grabbing something that's 5-10 bucks. I love that Milwaukee mini level and also got the carpentry square as well as the mini measuring tape (keychain) and the torpedo level. The pencil holder i actually use for my Keycard, it hangs on my jeans and if i need to use it i just pull it and once im done i just let go and it springs back without me having to find a place for it. I don't use Ryobi tools but I love their little jigs. I got a couple of them for doing door hinges and locks and they do come in handy at a cheap price. The jigs usually come with the router bit and a drill bit which is awesome considering their price is like 10-20 bucks. Husky stuff is actually really well made and most tools have lifetime warranty. Thanks for sharing with us
The gunpowder nailgun is cool, many decades ago, we had a similar nailgun in Europe (former Czechoslovakia), but it used 7,62x54 extra stong blank Rifle ammunition!
Gosh what a brilliant idea in tidying up your tool box it makes so easy to find the tool you need i will have to get some because i always loose the one you need for the next job😎
You are one of my favorite channels good people on there and great content keep doing what you are doing. The giveaways are a great way to keep people watching
The HUSKY "build out" crate is the (1) largest, (2) sturdiest, and (3) lowest cost. You see it everywhere with the crews, who may actually be using some other pack system, but chose the Husky crate because of its volume capacity/cost. p.s. I use the Ryobi brushes as part of my car detailing kit. Amazing job at getting the crud off the tires.
Another great video thanks for your hard work.😀 I have friends that live on yachts and they all use only Milwaukee Tools, since they seem to be really good quality and last longer under pretty bad conditions. Personally I love the screwdrivers always great quality. We definitely need some Big Home Depot stores in the UK.
another great video mr. shadowfoam! ive never used any of the tools, although I used to work construction and I didnt have a problem keeping my pencil but for those who kept losing theirs we had a little stash of those retractable things...they also hold lighters...helps with not losing those as well!
Watching you finding tools in the us is like watching a 5 year old on Christmas morning… I like the Milwaukee square I use it for my welding doesn’t melt when using it on hot steel… would love to see you come visit harbor freight and seeing your reaction to Hercules power tools!
Another tool you covered was a multi tool you got at the British tool show, can’t remember the name but it has a glass cutter on it and a utility knife, my grandad had one years ago, I think someone just reinvented the wheel!
I’ve had smaller versions of the cable cuff for over 30 years, think they’re fairly readily available in GB. The levels are really cool particularly the empire one
Like the small square mine is bashed as I use it all the time. The pencil holder is good too……I’m forever looking for the pencil I’ve just been using 😂 Another interesting video
I don’t know if it was at the stores you were at but husky also has a “build out” system as a little different modular storage system. I saw they are going to have draws coming soon to the system as well. Would love to see shadow foam for them!
Nice pick up on the Husky pouch. That's something we don't get/see in Australia either, and I have to say I would have grabbed one of those also. I think that would be a real handy bit of kit for a quick grab and go job ?
Hi great to see someone who is passionate about tools and then gets caught out by a marketing package and can still jokes about it Love the channel, Alan from Devon
Thanks for another entertaining video, showing many pieces of kit available in the USA that we don't see in the UK. Though I've been using the "cable cuff" style cable tidies for a few years mainly on small items like battery charger cables. I think my number one in this batch is the Milwaukee screw drivers and square that seem decent quality.
I love the light up spirit level - why don't we have this in the uk. I was fixing some timber in a concrete garage yesterday. I was working from a work light hung above my head but still stuggled to see the bubble on my level....And I must get a pencil pull..Great vid and will be ordering some shadow foam soon to sort out some AV Flight cases I have.
My number one would be Ryobi pocket level. i think it be great for that 1st piece of wall paper. with the laser. pointing down. also pencil holder is a good idea if the cord doesn't get in the way, would have to try one.

I'm glad the retractable pencil holder will grip crayons too. Thats electricians sorted then 😂😂😂
yea don't mess with those crayon eating electricians 😁
I only eat the red ones
Not going to lie I’m soo jealous 😫. That is my dream to go to America and go to the tool shops and come home with an amazing tool haul 😅. You are in my eyes living the dream 👨🏻🔧👨🏻🔧
Very kind to say mate! Which American tool shops would you go to if you could?
I wish the United States didn't ban the miter saw/table saw combination tool I seen it all the time on European UA-camrs and I want it so bud but American politicians made it illegal to buy an America I get how you feel
I agree 100%, who needs the sun, when you have all those isles stuffed full of tools 😳
What do you want from the USA; I'll be flying to the UK on september 19th with 1 empty suitcase...
That plumbing multi tool is brilliant i need to get 1 of them
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself at Home Despot. We in Canada love it...I'm a Ryobi geek 🤓.
Maybe you should come to Ottawa Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 next trip.
From the states. Love your videos and looking to get some shadowfoam soon for my Dewalt Toughsystem 2.0. Used a Ramset for a long time so seeing you think it was quirky was entertaining.

I love quirky innovative tools,so simple, but could make your life so much easier
I really really want to go to America just for the tools shops. every video I watch I see hundreds of shops I wish we had in the uk
All for the compact tool kit ideas. Think my top pick would be the dry wall level, clever way to have a fixed point to measure from
Hello, from the states my favorite quirky tool from the U.S. Is the pencil pocket extensions!
A magnetic parts bowl. Helps hold screws and nails but also is able to magnetic to a beam or tool box when working on projects.
I've been following your channel for a little while now and I see that all the giveaways you do are always with interesting or different things from what we normally find, and all the tools you bring to the channel are really cool for tool lovers.

In one of your many visits, try to visit a Lowe's store--it's another "big box store" like Home Depot, and happens to be my preferred store.
I've got an old Black & Decker laser level. I must have had it 20 years at least. It has a plastic mounting plate that has a pin for plaster board and a magnetic bit for the level to click to. Very tidy and still working well.
Love seeing all the different tools and brands from all over the world. Great video
Thanks for watching! Which tool was your favourite?
I really like those cable clamps, don’t know who I got them from about 15 years ago but they still hold up and I use the smaller versions to manage all sorts of cable messes.

Top notch tools is a great idea you,ll just have to make more trips to find more tools to list on the website
I am willing to make that sacrifice for all of us 👀
The Ryobi Laser level looks like a handy thing to have in the tool box. The Mega Cuffs also look quite useful as a way to keep wandering cables and hoses tidy. If you need help pushing the trolley around on your next trip to Home Depot etc. please feel free to give me a call!!
That gun that fires steel nails into concrete or steel is available in the UK and has been for years. I used to have a Hilti branded one.
While in the USA in 2016 i purchased a set of imperial spanners from home depot, absolutely staggered by the choice, the spanners are being used on a Land Rover series 2 restoration project.
And I bet they are still working great now!
You got some great looking tools there, I love the light up levels🔨
The innovative designs are great and the ones that do multiple actions are the best. Small compact useful traits of a great quirky tool.
I think it's great that you're makinging it easier to buy tools that's hard to get in the UK
Love the Mega Cuffs, bought some on my last trip to US. I use them as temporary clamps when running cable, they act as a second (and third) pair of hands
Love a 2M tape measure, nice and light in your pocket. I bought 6 identical 2M tapes, so there is always one close to hand. Nice video.
The Camillus Swedge Knife looks awesome. I love it! One of the most interesting knives I have seen in a while.
Used to have one of those pencil holders and absolutely loved it! Strange that such a small device can make such a difference 😁
Love the levels especially the one with weld cut out and the folding sharpening tool handy for a nail bag
Milwaukee tools look so attractive in that shadow foam. This is my first video watched on this channel and now i am thinking of shadow foam for my tool box. Awesome bundle idea too.

Fun to see you jet setting around in search of quirky tools. Like the laser, true blue, and knife.
Outstanding again.
So jealous of all the Ryobi gear available in the States.
If I visited I’d need extra cases to bring everything home
The gunpowder nailgun is cool, many decades ago, we had a similar nailgun in Europe (former Czechoslovakia), but it used 7,62x54 extra stong blank Rifle ammunition!
wow, that is definitely extra! 👀
That knife you first showed is like the old window knives we used to gut in the uk for removing the old putty when replacing broken glass.
It’s still available online from a German company.
Great video as usual! Always good to see what's out there on the market in the US that we'd be lucky to get over here
Gosh what a brilliant idea in tidying up your tool box it makes so easy to find the tool you need i will have to get some because i always loose the one you need for the next job😎
You are one of my favorite channels good people on there and great content keep doing what you are doing. The giveaways are a great way to keep people watching
I'm learning woodwork at the moment and this tools would be an awesome addition to my tool kit
I really need to get one off them stacking boxes you make that foam cutting so easy keep bringing more videos they are always amazing
I saw this video as it uploaded and paused it straight away to make sure I signed up to WWGOA before the deal runs out, great deal and great sponsor!
Shadowfoam proves itself once more. Liking the 'press on' level. Excellent entertainment as usual! Cheers.
That pencil pole is brilliant. The amount of pencils of last over the years you could probably build plant a tree with them Betty quirky I love it👴🏻
What's the part number for that milwaukee screwdriver set? I wouldn't mind a set of those for sure.
Another Great collection of unusual tools. I will be looking for the Milwaukee screwdrivers with the grip tips.
The Ryobi laser level looked great! Always a fan of Milwaukee stuff though... So pretty!
Do they get into the cup holders very well? I’ve been thinking about buying them for a while
Another great video thanks for your hard work.😀
I have friends that live on yachts and they all use only Milwaukee Tools, since they seem to be really good quality and last longer under pretty bad conditions. Personally I love the screwdrivers always great quality.
We definitely need some Big Home Depot stores in the UK.
Great video! Think it’s hilarious the tools we’re used to and don’t think twice about are the ones that stick out to you lol.
that's the beauty of visiting other cultures, I've had a lot of comments like this from the Germans after I went over there to look for tools!
another great video mr. shadowfoam! ive never used any of the tools, although I used to work construction and I didnt have a problem keeping my pencil but for those who kept losing theirs we had a little stash of those retractable things...they also hold lighters...helps with not losing those as well!
Mr. Shadow Foam is my father haha call me Jona mate and thanks for the info!
Milwaukee also makes a smaller trim square that I use all the time. If you make it to Lowe’s check out the kobalt tool boxes.
Love Home Depot, Always taske a trip when Im over in Florida. Great Channel
I bought my first drill from Home Depot when I was 16 when I went to the states with my dad. It was a Dewalt 18v Nicad combi drill.
Nice pickup that, all good tool kits start with a solid combi drill!
Love Home Depot! !! Used to spend hours in there browsing when I worked over there.
That is a great set of screwdrivers looks like excellent quality especially if you can pout a wrench on it to loosen screws
I love quirky hand tools. The pencil holder is so good , I’m forever misplacing my pencil.
Watching you finding tools in the us is like watching a 5 year old on Christmas morning…
I like the Milwaukee square I use it for my welding doesn’t melt when using it on hot steel… would love to see you come visit harbor freight and seeing your reaction to Hercules power tools!
Another tool you covered was a multi tool you got at the British tool show, can’t remember the name but it has a glass cutter on it and a utility knife, my grandad had one years ago, I think someone just reinvented the wheel!
I'm a sucker for levels too. That plaster board level is genius!
Great selection of interesting and unusual tools, love the Milwaukee pocket level.
I am really impressed by how many quirky tools there is in America
The 2m tape measure and pencil holder are very handy. Trend make a folding file , like the huskey one which you can get in the UK.
love to see your trips to america, and love that milwaukee square got the big 24in one they would look so good together on my wall
Been doing my kitchen cabinet trim pieces over the weekend and the amount of the times I lost the pencil was unreal I need the pencil pull in my life
I don’t know if it was at the stores you were at but husky also has a “build out” system as a little different modular storage system. I saw they are going to have draws coming soon to the system as well. Would love to see shadow foam for them!
Love the mini tape measure would be great for working in tight spaces like under tractor panels
I am so jealous of you going and just picking up whatever you want from a Home Depot! 😫 I wish we had them in the UK!
Extra strong magnet Milwaukee level would be great for me. Need to find that online somewhere. Great choices of tools.
Another great video, really interesting seeing all the American tools and quirky gadgets. Really like the look of the little magnetic level!!
Nice pick up on the Husky pouch. That's something we don't get/see in Australia either, and I have to say I would have grabbed one of those also. I think that would be a real handy bit of kit for a quick grab and go job ?
I quite liked that Husky cantilever toolbox, trust you to have a foam insert for it though 😃😃👍👍
Nice tools. I like the level with the weld gap.
I’ve needed a set square for ages. That Milwaukee one looks great
Hi great to see someone who is passionate about tools and then gets caught out by a marketing package and can still jokes about it
Love the channel, Alan from Devon
Heading to Canada soon... I.will have to search out some tool stores to have a mooch! You've got some cracking stuff there!!
Hi we are in South Africa my son loves watching all the amazing tools you guys have over there
I like the pencil/crayon holder. Now I'll never lose my 'burnt sienna' color crayon!! I also do like the Magnum Easy Grips pliers.
Be hard pressed to disagree with you there mate! 👍
Definitely one of my favourite channels, a brilliant watch.
Another great video. The Swedge knife is known as a wrecking chisel here in the UK, Stanley and Bacho both do them.
Thanks for the info Steve!
Love the 2m measure, really handy size. That Milwaukee speed square needs to find it's home in my toolbox!!! Great video as always Jona
I remember having some of those wire cuff's for smaller electrical cables. I had it on headphone extender cables. Your ones look really uaefull
My number one would be Ryobi pocket level. i think it be great for that 1st piece of wall paper. with the laser. pointing down. also pencil holder is a good idea if the cord doesn't get in the way, would have to try one.
Love these videos love seeing new tools and would love to see a returns pallet on tools would do really well for the channel I would think
Awesome! Love the long nose pliers. I might need to get some of those. Can’t wait to see where you are going next?
Absolutely a great starterset for beginners in the woodworld. As allways, great video.
I think that mega cuff is such a good idea. Need to try and pick one up
Another great tool haul, i like the billet torpedo level. Looks very similar to the milwaukee billet level.
@shadow foam. We do actually have powder actuated tools for fasteners in concrete or steel, here in EU. Hilti makes a whole range of them and they are quite popular amongst large scale roofing teams.
Thanks for the info, happy to hear that!
@@ShadowFoam Thx for the videos👌
