I have to agree, the folks working at Terry Black's are super friendly and the BBQ is pretty good. (I won't complain about the prices since that's every place these days..). Next time you are in Lockhart you should hit up Riley's Pit BBQ right across from Chisholm Trail BBQ. It's a smaller place and I'm not sure how well known it is, but definitely good and a change of pace from the bigger guys.
Take off your autofocus bro. Been to Terry Blacks, the BBQ is good but I wasn’t overly impressed. Not a big fan of post oak. Nonetheless it’s still good BBQ. Glad you enjoyed it!
I didn't realize autofocus was an issue. Being in central Texas, most bbq joints use post oak. I love that you can be outside and smell the smoke as you eat. I got there when it opened and everything was fresh.

If you’re eating BBQ in Texas you’re almost always eating food smoked on posts oak.
...and like I said, I don't care for post oak@@spatulaman2753
