    Why only one mic pre? With two you would be able to use it as a summing mixer...

      I don't record with it. I record with the SSL Big Six.

    You have 2 big hitters there, both for different reasons.
    I have no idea why people spend so much on gear and have such crappy mixers, I know of a certain individual who spent too much money on gear, and almost nothing on their garbage mixer, this just proves they don't know what they're doing.
    I learned early on in my journey that you just don't skimp on an interface/mixer.
    I spent as much as a good synth on an interface and could not be happier.
    It's not always about how good the instrument is, but how you treat it, and a good capture device will be respecting that instrument.

      Yes, and the uad was very affordable because I don'tneed a lot of fearures on their large models! And since I use their plugins, my PC kicked in the uad software automatically and set the unit up fast and easy.
      If someone spends a lot on their instruments, then a great interface and/or mixer should be implemented as well.
      I see the rookie mistake you referred to all the time.
