"It's a fretted guitar on the bottom, so you can play normal guitar stuff..." *proceeds to play some crazy slide trills that nobody else would ever refer to as normal*
Dude this is insane i met this guy at a harry browns harvest ball 2017 his band is just insane and i can't belive hes on gear gods way to go man rock on!
Adrn Amrfs yeah but tbh i personally find this really weird I’m not into it personally even tho I like progressive metal and stuff. I like seeing people do something new with a regular guitar tbh it’s a little more impressive
@@connorevs1315 I mean, yeah, but those other things allow you to do a lot more expressive and interesting stuff. You can't exactly make a theremin sound without having a built in one or crazy pedals. Plus, he's still a really innovative player. Plus plus, he can play wOnDeRwaLL
One of my favorite bands. I've seen them probably 100 times already, but I'm still in awe every single show. Gabe's new guitar is incredible. The new album is GREAT!
This is the moment we've all been waiting for. Thanks Gear God's! It's crazy to think that Gabriel does all this and plays so many acoustic instruments as well.
I saw them in DC with a head full of acid. Can confirm, my head exploded. Got to meet them after the show and it was like talking to gods. I was in complete awe.
Wow. As a guitar > cable > amp > single delay in the footswitchable fx loop for solos guy, this is insane to watch. I can't even begin to imagine the intestinal fortitude and patience it must take just to set this rig up every night.
Gabriel. Love your sound and style both you and the rest of the group. Thank you for taking the time to show us your working world and the systems you use to make music. I myself play in a very creative style relying almost exclusively on the many synthesized sounds available to me. I use Logic Pro X as my base for sounds. After watching you I may consider using some peddles to enhance what I do. I can work with 3 midi channels at once witch allows me some interesting variety when using sounds in various combinations. My instrument is a Roland FR8x midi accordion. I am Not an accordion player. I don’t play that kind of music; I don’t have an accordion style at all. Mine is more contemporary rock jazz. Thanks again. You all are very inspiring. Gratefully, Gwinn Earl Nelson

lmao I was going to make this comment but you're 4 years ahead of me
This band has one of the sickest bass players ever. Just saying.
They are all pretty rad
Ben franklins wig and Jackie Chan are my favorite songs by him. They are truly amazing. He’s a one of a kind bassist that’s for sure.
One of the sickest guitar players too. Like a modern day Shawn Lane

But what about the cost of removing the roof of each venue he plays when they airlift his pedal board in?
I saw him in our towns smallest bar. The whole place was like a hallway. They rocked it
Glad people are still trying new things in the progressive genre.

Incredible musician and a very funny and down to earth guy! Fascinating to see what goes into his setup, can tell he's really having fun with it.
Vai, Fripp, IA, and McLaughlin must be proud of this guy
Consider The Source is amazing, check them out
If you are an average guy from an average place, you are lucky if you meet one of this kind of persons in your WHOLE life. Very fuckin inspirational.
Holy moley Gabe! thanks for demystifying your gear for us. i wouldnt be able to handle a fraction of all that.. kudos
Saw these guys in Portland about year ago. The entire club was pretty much empty. Great show!
their band name is fatal.
Wow !! I just discover the son of David Torn and David Fiuczynski !!! thanks a lot !!! 🐴🐴🐴👏🐴🐴🐴

CTS will melt your face if you see them live

*LASER 👏 FIGHTS 👏 ARE 👏 VALID 👏 SOLOS 👏*
Gosh, the guitar playing is simply mindexplosing!!!

24:31 I heard that on Frankie ❤️cool to know where that sound comes from

Thank you for posting this!
G... That is one amazing guitar sounds nice . Troy Frost troyster 😎Cool Riffs
Did you refer to yourself in the 3rd person?
Structural Integrity was the name I gave my favorite drinking glass in college. It broke.
Fucks sake dude now I have to relearn guitar.. 👏
Cluster flux is such a funny name 😂
this setup is a freaking labyrinth!!!
Gabe!
fantastic great stuff
Dis dood like a competent Henry Kaiser
Wonderwallllllll. I forgive you 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Sometimes a later fight is a valid solo😄
Awesome
CTS is one of the best bands all time. IDGAF FIGHT ME!
Lovely textures there Gabriel. You should try an Aum Guitar! ;-)
awesome !!!
He warned us but it's worse than expected 😂
It’s like he has the predator watch on his guitar
I was disappointed to see that he didn't have a Korg Miku
David Fiuczynski
Be a man and get it right or deal with the consequences 😄👊🏻
so I can play normal guitar stuff......ok :D
I was waiting for someone to take over where Shawn Lane left off, the search is over.
what tuning does he use?
think he plays half step down..
0:54 😂that’s normal?
Joe Stump is to Yngwie, what this dude is to Bumblefoot. Not a diss, but you can't deny it.
What, just because he has a double neck fretless and doesn't play only pentatonic scales? This guy doesn't sound even a lick like Ron.
Terrible comparison.
I don’t know who joe stump is. But if he sounds like yngwie, eww
Does he even know what a normal guitar is 🤔
This is silly.
Have you seen them live? These guys have vision. They provide an ethereal experience.
Those pickups and their controls are something that the predator would have on his forearm.
