Good Morning. Wow....what a muddy mess! The name of the month of March should be changed to mud. I need to make some of those supports next season. Sometimes there just isn't a tree branch in the right spot.
Looks like the driveway is in the ditch that drains all the water away. Putting the drive up out of the ditch would help. Enjoy the trapping videos. Keep up the good videos, please.
I like to sharpen snare end to a sharp point, sticks into snare support collar easier. Poly collars can be difficult to shove a 9 wire into especially when cold, sharp point eases this
Driveways like that were always a bitch. There was never a good way to ditch them with a minimal ditch and very few culverts if any. The best way to help it for year round without ditching it is to always slope the gravel to the low side of the trail. Yeah it can be smooth but the water will always shed off. You have pickups so i wouldnt go any smaller then 1 3/4 road gravel. Personally i liked to build them out of straight up breaker run because it holds up best in the wet shitty weeks of break up. Good luck Paul!!
I had a 1/2 mile driveway that had a few spots that were mudpits, put a lot of gravel on it over the years even based it with 4" rock in the worst places. I happened across some 12' wide underlayment fabric at a construction business liquidation sale. I took everything down 6" with my skid loader one summer when the mudpits were dry put down a layer of 4" rock, covered that with the fabric then put healthy dose of 1 1/2" down. I really haven't had issues for 4 yrs since. One hill I did get a little deep pushing snow last year, a little shoveling when it happened not after it's been driven over for months lol, we were able to get the fabric back down. It's like anything, kind of a pricey initial investment but your not buying rock as often and the mud won't push through the fabric.
Thanks for showing snare anchor! Good idea!
Awesome stuff, I like your snare supports, I might borrow that idea 👍👍
Cool enjoy spring😂
Damn that is easy and should work damn good! Thanks for making that video

What I would do is 1 1/4 crushed gravel then 5/8 crushed gravel on top of your driveway. They can be a mess without gravel!!

If you start talking with a high pitch voice, we'll know you have to give both nuts for the gravel lol.
That’s a muddy mess!
