For those who want to better utilize UA-cam for learning art, one of the most helpful things I have done for this is to make an alt account dedicated to art! Do not watch or interact with a single video that is not art related while on this account. If you see videos being suggested to you that aren't art related, click "not interested." Even if its something youd like to watch. Look it up on your main account later. This account is meant to be a zero-distraction zone for focusing on illustration. This is something I started doing fairly recently and I found that I am not only drawing more frequently, but I'm being exposed to far more creators I never saw on my main account because that account was catered to over a decade of varying interests. On this account: no distractions. Only study and motivation.
Yeah this^^^ I turned my school acc into an art animation account and I've seen improvement in my anatomy and animation cleanup and composition! 10/10 advice homeslice🔥🔥🔥🔥
haha im commenting on my art-dedicated youtube account right now!! how ironic!! i truly attest to doing this, its been really helpful in my art journey!

Beside from Ai Art, pinterest had a serious issue about the art thieves, before Ai was even a thing, reposting someone's art is already a common thing in pinterest, and most of them doesn't even give credit to the artist. Its not once that ive encounter people who repost art from my favourite artist, no matter how many times i asking them to delete the post or report to pinterest, they never seem to remove the reposted art at all.
I like and favorited some of those pics snd I got hit with account strikes when I didn’t upload the images nor knew it was stolen when I first liked and favorited the pics. I hate Pinterest so much
I don't know if saving into a Pinterest folder is the same as "reposting" art on Pinterest, but I did notice that a lot of the times, people that just made those folders get a lot of followers. Legit, I just like to save references since I'm also an artist, I don't really see Pinterest as a social media. If I took heavy inspiration on a specific reference, then I'd try to dig out the OG artist, which is luckily still possible on Pinterest, but I obviously don't really like plagiarism._., so I didn't need to do that
@@nimzay_art Well, you got the point, but the major problem is that pinterest art consist 99% of reposted art, which its ick me cause unless if i ever seen the og art, i can't tell if it reposted or original. Also despite having same issues, atleast majority of art in other platform like twitter and ig are posted by the og artist
I NEEDED THIS VIDEO SO BAD OMG I'M IN AN ART BLOCK CRISIS. I LOOKED AT MY MOST DETAILED ART VS MY OTHER ART I'VE BEEN MAKING LATELY AND I CRIED. i remember as a kid i used to watch a lot of speedpaints by artists like hyanna natsu and nekorina and developing my artstyle through that and being so inspired by them
you should search movie photography as they get you more dynamic and interactive reference. it helps when you're trying to draw characters and struggle to make them look like theyre in the same room
I use AI art as references not for the drawing or rendering techniques, but for the color palettes and how to arrange them. While some times I don't use references for draw something that I already have a good idea in my mind
There are playlists on youtube that imitate real art school live reference classes. They have timed pictures, usually with minimal clothes or distractions. It's not exactly the same, but not too bad
For my inspirations I mainly use Pixiv, and it's there I learned a lot of things from many cool tutorials that are very useful to try on! With the section "How to draw" it goes from general character creation to full illustrations, since then I never got back to pinterest again. I realized how Pinterest was way too messy after using it twice and realizing that too many arts were just stolen :/
Thanks :) Just finished my biggest painting ever! 5 characters, The painting was taller than my desk.. Took 4 weeks and around 50 hours - I’ve been in hibernation ever since.. This’ll be very helpful!!
Buy art books you can source that don’t have ai art in them. Buy basic anatomy books for artists or go to a library. Let’s not forget that physical media exists and can act as an alternative to digital media.
Yeah that’s what mine’s like too. I’ve saved a bunch of photos with people in them and came across a goldmine of inspiration for drawing from the algorithm.)
I find recently to avoid ai art its best to just find a few artists you like on any social media (especially ones with easy post sharing features like twitter and tumblr (i know it has a reputation but its calmed down so much in recent years i swear)) and then just go through their retweets/reblogs/following for more good artists. Block everything else and soon your feed will be filled with a constant stream of good art inspo. Pinterest is infamous for art theft but its still a great place to discover those artists in the first place, it just takes a little reverse image search work since none of these lazy reposters can be bothered to add a link to the art
Do you know any site or platform where chinese artists upload their drawing process? I have been interested in several chinese artist styles, but none of them upload anything on youtube :((
Yandex is better. But honestly if you really want inspiration and reference you gotta hunt for it in places artists won’t dare to take a look at, some of those hentai/porn sites are a gold mine of inspiration from really freakishly good senior artists from all around the world (a bunch of non nsfw stuff in there). Comics and graphic novels too, people tend to forget how good they are too

dead internet theory strikes again.
it was predicted by the AI as well
It's kinda nice though cause you can steal the character designs that the ai users make or take some of the features of their character designs.
Literally the first results of anything you search has ai it's so annoying

yea I agree
For real, I keep finding myself inspecting fingers, hair, ears and such before actually saving things 😭

I swear they’re literally unnecessary as heck
I always steal ai designs from pinterest, its sometimes helpful for inspo, especially for clothing (definitely not for anatomy tho 😭)
Sakugabooru is also really good for looking at sakuga scenes from anime for inspiration and composition
That's a really good resource!
Pinterest nowadays either shows you the same 20 pictures or bunch of AI gens.

theres that too if you search for ir
Also pixvi and twitter
If you’re on the iPad, you can just use freeform

definitely less AI stuff, and youtube speedpaints/tutorials ofc have none :)
