- Join us this week as we journey from Madrid to Sevilla Spain. We take the Renfe high speed train down to Sevilla in a quick 2.5 hours. A quick, easy, and relaxing journey.
Once we get to Sevilla, we head over to Plaza de Espana to take a look at the amazing architecture and tile work. This plaza was made between 1914 and 1929 and it was a highlight of the Exposicion Iberoamericana of 1929.
From there we walk over to Torre del Oro (Gold Tower). This was built around 1220! So much history in this beautiful city!!
We walked past Christopher Columbus' final resting place at the Catedral de Sevilla. He isn't buried there, instead he's kept above ground.
Next stop on our tour was the Royal Alcázar of Seville. This UNESCO Heritage site is a royal palace in Sevilla built for the Christian King, Peter of Castile. Game of thrones filmed several scenes here. What an incredible structure.
Lastly, we visited Las Setas de Sevilla (Mushrooms of Seville). This is a wooden structure located in the old quarter of Seville.
If you're in Madrid, this is a must do trip! It was quick and easy. You can take the first train out, have a nap, and spend the day in a different part of Spain.
We had a great experience here in Sevilla! Stay tuned as we still have more adventures from the beautiful country of Spain!

Sevilla tiene un color especial 💃❤️🙌🏻
Sevilla is such a beautiful place to visit!
Yes it was!!! A must see for sure !
OMG! The history and architecture in Sevilla are breathtaking! I can’t believe you did all of that in one day! Such a beautiful city 😍😍😍
YES! LOL it was a BUSY day, but certainly worth it. Of course, if you’re able to - a longer stay can certainly be justified. However, if you’re primarily going to be in Madrid, a day trip is perfect!
Excellent video y'all!!! I definitely want to check out Sevilla now.
:) yea ! It was fantastic !
Thank you for this video…I’ll be in Madrid in April and was planning a day trip to Sevilla. I can see from your video that it’s totally doable. And it’s so beautiful in Sevilla.
Thank you, Cynthia! Yes, very doable. You’re going to have a wonderful experience. Enjoy!!
Thanks for sharing this day trip! I've decided to do the same thing after watching this!
That’s fantastic. You’re going to have a great time. Be sure to let us know how it goes ! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for sharing😊
Nice train 🚂🚃. Nice architecture and tile style designs.
Yes! It was really cool
11:27 I studied abroad at the Universidad de Sevilla in the Fall of 2007. That particular campus used to be The Royal Tobacco Factory.
I remember when the Tranvia (Tram) opened in October of 2007; it actually derailed between Archivo de Indias and Puerta Jerez on the first day of service, but at least service was free the first day even though there were only four stops. ☺ (I think there's a fifth now.) At the beginning of the semester I would walk to class down Constitution Ave, passed the Cathedral and Archivo de Indias while watching out for the trams while they were doing their driver trainings. Of course, once tram service began I got lazy and took the tranvia every day. However, I still had to walk down Tetuan street by all of the boutiques to get to Plaza del Duque. Question: Did you get to ride the metro in Sevilla? It was under construction when I was there, and I think opened it 2009 or '10.
21:03 WOW! That's definitely new!
Oh wow !! Thanks for sharing your experience!!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I am planning to visit Spain in March, and I want to do a day trip to Seville from Madrid as well.
You’re going to love it !! We had such a phenomenal time ! Can’t wait for you to experience it for yourself. Happy travels!
Thank you for this great video :) We're gonna go Sevilla from Turkiye in March :) Do you think 2 hours is enough time to reach the train station from the Madrid airport?
You’re going to have a great time! I think so. As long as you’ve already passed through control and have your items. If it’s from time of landing… that might be a little close.
I know you had breakfast there, but what about lunch or dinner?
Besides breakfast, we only had snacks there. We ate dinner when we got back.
Thanks for the video, my husband and I plan to do this day trip in June. What time did you catch the train back? And was the 79 euro per person round trip?
Hi there ! You definitely should! The train back left at 17:28 and arrived 20:10. Yes it was for both round trip :).
@@TravelNoJitters thank you❤️
How did you make between location, taxi?
Walking or we used Uber. 😎
dear,greetings- like it, yoou uploaded interesting ! :))
Thank you !
Really nice video. Did you buy tickets for the Alcazar in advance or on site?
Thank you!! We bought the tickets when we got there. There was a little bit of a queue but it moved quickly. We probably spent 15 minutes in line, and then we went right in.
Torre de Oro is where gold was stored ,hence the name.
AHHHH! That makes sense. Great info! Thank you.
How much was the train ride round trip ?
€73 round trip :)
Hey travelers enjoy
