    When u r trying to show the camera (us) something like a hook or something small and the camera can't focus. Use your hand as a backround so the camera can focus on the item. Another great video thanks.

    when i was a kid back in the 70`s . basically all we had was treble hooks and straight shank / j hooks. but i remember that the straight shank hooks would tear up the worms pretty bad. but i guess that had to do with the type of plastic the worms were made of at the time. they were harder and a lot more firm than they are today . about the only time i use straight shank hooks today is if im using live bait ( minnows and worms ) things have come a long way since my day

    They way that you can break it down to simplify each setup is very helpful.

    The Neko hook is legit, been using them since they came out and they've all but replaced my wacky and drop shot hooks. So versatile it's unreal.

    I think we need to add circle hook to your list, coz I come across so many application that circle will do the job. unless we only talking about bass which we can do with your 4 style, thanks for the great video and info.

    I knew most of that already, but i still watched it all the way through with no complaints because mike is so knowledgeable lol,
    and im glad i did, the one thing i never thought of is snell-hooking a straight shank for flipping, i just always used a texas rig, jig or shaky head to flip into cover

    • @amer1337
      @amer1337 4 роки тому

      You can snell a wide gap etc hook too.

    I use the wide gap for everting . most versatile hook out there and the only one you need . Just my opinion

    Thank you for this video and in-depth explanation of the various different books. I am new to fishing and I live in Las Vegas where most of the fish in my immediate surrounding area going to be trouts and a few other fish, but no small mouth or big mouth bass. My question to you is are all of these hooks and applications that you mentioned in your video geared towards bass fishing? Would you consider doing another video and go over essential hooks for general fishing, not necessarily only geared towards bass? I’m wondering if the regular offset hook with Sennco style soft bait might work for other spices including trout? Thank you so much! 🙏

    Love your videos Mike but I’m not sure that you know what 1/8th inch is. On one bait you said “ Put it in a little less than 1/8th inch “ I can’t imagine that. Might want to check. Thanks again Mike !

    I'm completely new to this stuff, when i want to change soft platics do you prefer to keep the same hook and change a sinko to a craw or do you prefer to keep the same hook for each soft plastic and change everything out?
