Hi Chris, just a wee note. If fishing a long Sunray, the idea is to fish it fast so basically a square cast across the river and strip it back quickly. Thanks for another nice video.
Chris sorry to say again when fishing sunray shadow down stream mend straight away or fast strip buddy I would have thought matt trigg would have told you how to fish his flys 😂 he buys you a new rod to fish flys you don't know how to fish . Feel for you buddy . 3 flies is all you need Willie gunn , stoats tail , garry dog in different sizes . Honestly Chris ill tie you some so you atleast get a fish after all the money you've spend bud I feel for you 😢
Great video once more and indeed a lovely beat with great looking runs and pools. Not sure if you fished the Sunray all day or not but as mentioned below it needs to be cast almost square across and swung across the pool using downstream mend if need be to create a belly in the line, or simply stripped fast just fyi. I usually try the sunray very early in the morning or in the late evening when sun is low. Thanks for taking the time to produce & share. Tight lines.
The rule is step and cast, especially if you are fishing a pool with others wanting to fish. If you are on your own, then take as long as you like. You must be getting very frustrated as it is now june and you have not yet connected with a fish.
@stevemad4salmon unfortunately I no longer live close to the Border Esk and am not good on modern technology so only manage to fish for 3 weeks each season. I gave to fish tobthe conditions which can either be a drought as in 2022 or low water conditions. I am still a learner as I have only been salmon fishing for 50 years.
I wish i never blocked that twat who commented that we youtube anglers need to get some lessons - i reckon we could have all given him a proper response 👍
Another great video Chris and lovely looking location.
Glad you enjoyed it Craig 👍
Awesome video again, nice place to fish on 👍👊
Thanks 👍

Don't ask me for the lottery numbers 😒 🤣 I'm not lucky enough
I’ve been out over 50 times this year and Hooked one fish which unfortunately came off as I slid it into the grass on the findhorn
Rodney, I haven't seen your exploits, channel or fish yet, where will I find them???
